  1. Let me know when the current group of players and coaches make it to a Super Bowl.. since this year, they will be watching it like the rest of us.   The late 80s and 90s Bills had heart.  The current team is just bizarre.  Some talent is present but thus far it hasn’t done much.  I’m one of those fans who doesn’t care too much about the reg season.  Stats??  Whatever.  Just make it into the playoffs.  That’s where sports legends are made.

Also, Josh Allen is no Pat Mahomes.  So far MAHONEY has quite a better resume so let’s not even go there.  I’ve also seen some Josh Allen is the GOAT posts.. lol.  Say what???

For those who didn't want to click on the article link, here is the tweet:

    1)Tom Brady

    2)Joe Montana

    3)Johnny U

After that I truly don’t know..  you can make a case for many players rounding out the top 5 or 10.  One thing that I just remembered is the most talented arm I have ever seen in the NFL.  Jeff George.

talk about wasted talent.  I saw him throw

65 yards across the field into the wind vs the Jets once.  The guy had an effortless cannon for an arm.  Best I have ever seen as far as arm strength.  That’s would be a fun thread all it’s own.

I think they could have gotten by the Giants. The Bills SHOULD HAVE but didn't. The Redskins and Cowboys probably beat the Dolphins.

Agree.  Buffalo was the better team. The Bills should have beaten Dallas in their second SB meeting too.  Instead of that, they literally fell apart and Dallas picked up the pieces.  I do stand by my post though.  The Dolphins weren’t good enough to win against any of those teams imo.

If it wasn't for the Bills, then Marino probably has a ring or two. The Dolphins could never get past the Bills. The Kelly-Marino years were some of the best battles in the NFL at that time.

“If”.. Marino would have been demolished by The Giants, Redskins & Cowboys had complete teams typical of what gave Marino trouble. Kelly outplayed him many times head to head both in the reg season & playoffs.

Marino was the best regular season QB of the 80s stats wise.  That’s where the compliments end for him from me.. everyone has an opinion.

Steve Young had a tremendous run after Montana left.. if it wasn’t for the stacked Cowboy teams, Steve would have won three rings.  It is what it is.

I agree, but can't we all agree on something?  The consensus around the league and among NFL fans, for quite a long time prior to the current era, was that the "best of all time" was Joe Montana.

He had that mystique as a multi-SB winer, the guy who could always mount the last second comeback, and was very calm and smooth under pressure.

Like during the Bills SB era and later, people talked of Montana as the non plus ultra of quarterbacks.

Then a whole bunch of really good ones emerged and now it's more of a conversation.

I have Joe firmly in the number two spot.

I have Brady above all, then Joe, and then it’s debatable.  Right now I would go with Johnny U at the number three spot.  As legendary as he is, people tend to forget how he revolutionized the position.

Dan Marino is probably the best pure passer of all time!

Dude was miles ahead of Jim Kelly.

I’ve seen Marino the great choker in the playoffs.  “Mr I Don’t Need a Running Game”

and then he would cry that he didn’t have one.  He was in accurate in the playoffs and blamed others for it.  There’s was always an excuse for him.  He had one playoff win away from Miami in his entire career.  ONE.

Best pure passer?  Maybe if someone is feeling nostalgic.

  6. Looks like this will be it for him.  Best I ever saw.  A remarkable career and passion for winning.  Tom is probably the clutchest player in any sport.  There were so many games where I counted this man out.. but he still lead his teams to victory when it counted most.  He was never “washed” even at 45 he showed that he could still play well.  Heck.. he had a hall of fame career after he turned 40.  He is Mr Football. The end of an era.

There was the NFL before TB and the NFL after TB.

    Gretzky

    Brady

    Ruth

    Maradona

    Good company.

OP this is the modern NFL. QBs run. Thats just how the game is played.

Did you see how Mike White got hurt?

Do you remember how Josh hurt his elbow?

Let it go. Running Josh in designed plays or scrambles is fine.

So him taking shots to his sides are fine.  All right well..  there you have it folks.

Have you seen Mike White in the pocket today?

Yes I have.. and the point I am trying to make here is as simple as it gets.  Josh Allen needs to stop taking unnecessary hits.  If he doesn’t, we can kiss this team’s future good bye sooner rather than later.
