I'm not disagreeing with you that Josh would need to be more careful back then, but... Anyone who thinks Josh couldn't play when it was still open season on QBs needs to listen to Steve Young talk about Josh. He's a big fan of Josh and his talent and I think it's because he sees a lot of his game in Josh and has said Josh is bigger, faster, and stronger than he is.

Josh is a combination of throwback and modern era. Just a unique talent. That's precisely what makes him the unicorn and alien he is.

This is just crazy talk. Josh has taken hits that would KO most QBs and Josh runs the ball like Kelly could only dream of and welcomes the hits. Like I said, Nostalgia is a seductive liar and is a well known quote.

In my lifetime, Barry Sanders is hands down the best RB I've ever seen. He did things ive never seen any RB do before on film or otherwise. He was a unique talent who happened to be on a team that didn't have much else other than him for most of his career.

But QBs still reigned supreme. A RB wasn't bringing a team back from 3 scores down.

Nostalgia is a seductive liar. Allen has already re-written Bills record books in his 6th full season at QB. Not only just Bills records, NFL records. Jim Kelly was a great QB who was the right guy to run the Bills no-huddle. He wasn't the best QB in the league. He was the right guy for the Bills at the right time. Having said that, Kelly did not have anywhere near the talent Josh Allen has and has already proven on the field. Kelly was surrounded by HOFers. Josh is not. At least not yet. Josh Allen is this franchise.

No position on the field is more important than QB. They touch the ball on every offensive play unless you're talking a direct snap to someone else. Josh Allen is the Bills ALL TIME leader in TDs in his 6th full season at QB and has not only re-written Bills record books, he's creating NFL history. As great as Bruce Smith was, there's only so much a DE can do. He missed good amount of time with a knee injury/surgery and the Bills were still winning. Take Josh off this team and what do you have? I think that about sums it up.

Their D is a shell of what it was. Their offense will have to bring it's A game every week to win now. Kinda like us.

Knox and Johnson made catches that Josh put too much on. Especially the Knox catch. I thought for sure it was going to go incomplete. Maybe the best catch of his career IMO.

Against our D with both starting safeties and a CB out. Going into the 4th quarter, Detroit only had 21. I think we all would've preferred not giving up 21 in the 4th, but all in all, not bad given the circumstances.
