A retractable dome is yesterday's solution, and quite frankly a little used expense. It was a beautiful day in Dallas last weekend and yet they still kept the roof shut.  They now have the glazing technology to create an outdoor experience while sitting indoors. Go to Minnesota or Los Angeles.  You'll swear you're sitting outside.

I agree with this sentiment.   If you're building a roof over your stadium just make it stationary and use the translucent roof tiles.   I'm not really a fan of the roll out grass fields in the dome stadiums either.   If you want a dome for your team just go with turf.

  2. Am I the only one that appreciates the low profile aesthetic of the current Highmark stadium?  Symmetrical with plenty of sunlight from all directions covering the field,  as opposed to stadiums like MetLife that stand like 30 stories high and you end up with half the field covered in shadow during day games.   Allegiant and Sofi stadiums are pretty damn impressive for domes though.

Not only that…anyone with half a brain who has watched NFL football knows that winning close games is typically a coin flip. The Bills losing 5 of them this year without a win is statistically improbable and not a sign that they “can’t win close games.”  They’ve been unlucky.

Bills were about 3 inches shy of having homefield advantage throughout the playoffs and potentially avoiding KC altogether.  Unlucky indeed.

Hey just trying to help the WNYers out.  Y'all are gonna pay for the stadium with tax dollars anyway.  I was just suggesting that opening up additional funding for out of state residents may not be a bad idea should a deal fall through with NY.  As a non resident I would throw some money at keeping the team there in a new stadium.   The Packers have been doing it that way for almost a century.
