  1. I'm sick of hearing crap about having the opportunity to double dip at half.  The Raiders game aside,  the Bills have shown to be pretty abysmal at playing from behind and if I remember from last year, the Bills had an extremely high scoring percentage on first possession drives.   Why not just always receive the Ball, get that early lead and make the other team play catch up.   Once the Bills get down, they seem to get in their own heads and lose all their juice.   This is just one of the many little annoyances I've had about this season so far.

  2. It would be a very Billsy move to go after another RB, give up draft picks and pay him 12 million per year and then give him 5 touches a game.   Until this offense and Dorsey figure out an identity for itself, I kinda doubt they can utilize any of their skill players efficiently.   I personally would rather us just get back to our late 2021 offense which didn't run at all outside of #17 and was nearly unstoppable until 13 seconds happened.

Is there a recent example of a team like the Bills firing a coordinator mid-season? And by that I mean with a winning record and expectations of a deep playoff run?

And an example where that mid-season coordinator change led to a championship?

Not being sarcastic here, I'd like to know if that's happened recently and is a precedent.

He was really good. Love the people that want to trade Knox....like he'd have any value outside of a 5th round pick (maybe). Nobody wants a 15 mil cap hit for a guy with stone hands.

Knox currently has negative value for the Bills though as hes taking targets away frommKincaid

It’s also driving me crazy how we are using the TEs. Both super talented guys are averaging like 6-7 YPC. That screams by design.

Jury is still out on Kincaid but i would hesitate to call Knox super talented.  He just hasnt been consistent enough with his hands or getting separation.

A lot worse. Josh led the league in turnovers the last few years. Stop it.

I'll take Josh leading the league in turnovers and the bills scoring 35pts per game dynamic offense than than the overly predictable checkdown shotgun draw running clown show we've been watching recently.

Its even gotten to the point where they have josh scared to run the ball anymore.

  7. I still like them, although I'm envious we don't have a coach or offensive coordinator that can write a playbook that leans into it's talent.  When CMC got to SF, in barely a weeks time they redesigned their entire offense around him and he has been tearing up the league since.  Meanwhile we need to take 6 months just to get our new players "up to speed" and slow walk them into the rotation.  Their offense feels like it has a clear identity and it revolves around CMC.  ours is more like throwing things at a wall until something sticks.

Devin Singletary and Zach Moss both always seemed like rhythm/opportunity backs, not timeshare guys.

That is, both of them always seemed most effective when they were given a steady dose -- and the lion's share -- of carries. When they could get into rhythm. The more sporadically they touched the ball, the worse they seemed to do.

Now obviously in the 2023 NFL, where many teams employ running-back-by-committee, and where pass-first offenses often relegate running backs to single digit carries in a game, this isn't always possible. There are also plenty of running backs for whom this is NOT the case.

So...blame whoever you want, but having two guys who do best as bellcows in Moss and Singletary, and then refusing to use EITHER of them as such, seemed to mitigate the effectiveness of both and, thus, to limit the Bills' run game.

Happy to see Moss doing well elsewhere, and I hope Motor does, too.

We were also judging their play based on our 2022 OL which was one of the worst in the league.   I always thought both Singletary and Moss were underrated here.

Yeah, just saw him myself coincidentally.

He's 3rd in the league in Rushing Yards, tied for 10th in Rushing TDs, 3rd in Rushing 1st-Downs, 9th among RBs for YPC, and perhaps most importantly 3rd in Carries.

Goes to show you what happens if you give a RB 20 carries a game instead of three RBs 4, 5, or 6 apiece in our idiotic keep players fresh garbage MO.

Our OC only knows how to dial up shotgun draw for no gain on 1st and 2nd so RB or number of carries makes little difference.

I’ve caught a bit of Marino and Turner from time to time: I am curious…what are their credentials regarding actual football acumen aside from having shows that are dedicated to breaking down film?

I don't know where else to put this, but I got this info from my usual source (I'm quoting verbatim): "Rousseau may have a lower leg injury. Something that COULD cost him a few weeks IF he feels like he can't play through it."

Hopefully this doesn't turn out to be too serious. He had that high ankle sprain last year that nagged him over the final half of the season. Personally I would sit him a couple games if it comes to it, play the long game.
