1) We didn't lose due to the snow. We lost because we got dominated in the trenches.
2) It was embarrassing hearing the loud "who dey" chants.

Earlier in the year Josh was running guys over and getting up laughing in their face. We haven't seen that guy in a while.
Something has been off with this team for two months now.
I mentioned this in a thread about a month ago.
Something seems "off". No idea what it is, but its not JUST bad play. There is a "feeling" (for lack of better word) that this team lost.

But to be Honest Saffold everything we saw yesterday was there ALL Season
Saffold was a bad signing from the start. Beane needs to stop building a line from the scrap heap.-

AH, so having Edmonds cover Chase on that first drive was due to being physically outmatched? Not coaching?
3rd and 2 and we line Tre up SIX YARDS of Chase. That wasn't because of coaching?
I'll repeat the last sentence in that post you quoted:
"Could the coaches have made better decisions to make it a bit closer? Sure. But the reason we lost is the Bengals are better."

Ouch.
“Guys were exhausted during the week and our coaches did the best they could try to modify the week . . . but there was just uncharacteristic things that were kind of happening . . . I have to kind of put that into effect and not as an excuse just this team has been fighting for so long and fighting through all of this adversity you almost run out of gas at some point,” Saffold said

Yesterdays game was not about the coaches.
We were simply outmatched. Physically.
The talent discrepancy was glaring.
Could the coaches have made better decisions to make it a bit closer? Sure. But the reason we lost is the Bengals are better.

Yeah cause he’s watching Brock Purdy that last few weeks and questioning WTF are we doing?! Pick 265 is balling out in an awesome offense with weapons everywhere an Oline that can play…. Not to mention an offensive genius….
The SF coach is just beyond excellent. His decision making bad play calling is top notch.

Maybe it was made by someone smarter than you.
Perhaps someone lacking eyesight.
More likely, it was a ranking based on statistically measurable outcomes like 4th down awareness (when to go for it etc) which is about .001% of overall situational awareness.

McD was ranked as the 2ne best situational coach in the NFL this season next to Sirianni in Philly.
I'll listen to a lot of things on McD, this isn't one of them tho.
You are barking up the wrong tree.
I don’t care who made that ranking but it certainly can’t be game awareness.

The Bengals went from 2-14 to the SB in two off seasons. We are in year 5.
great point

This offense needs 2 receivers(#2/future #1 and a guy to move Davis to the 4th option.
And linemen.

I mentioned this another thread too, but Beane has done a solid job of stocking the team with “good” players. But very very very few “elite” players. We have no Bosa’s, or Watts, or Chris Jones etc.
And he doesn’t seem to want to give up draft assets to acquire an elite asset like McAffrey.

No we have to keep drafting DL in the first 2 rounds so that they can do absolutely nothing vs a backup OL
I’ve long said that Beane has done a good job at picking “good” players but he lacks “elite” players.

Signing ancient players like Emmanuel Sanders and John Brown are not playmakers type moves either.

That's not really true though. He looked great when we annihilated Tennessee early in the year, and there was a game a few weeks ago when he put the whole damned team on his back. I honestly can't remember which one right now!
But has he had a general regression this year on aggregate? YES!
Is that because of the new OC? Can that be improved next year with a new OC? Or more time with Dorsey?
I think he misses a lot of open receivers, but it's hard to tell watching on TV.
A few games doesn’t make a season. Those are called outliers.

In the 2022 offseason, the Bengals signed 3 offensive linemen that range between “good” and “stud” level in Collins, Kappa and Karras. All under 29 years old. The Bills signed 2 retread offensive linemen in Quessenberry (32) and Saffold (34).
In the 2020 and 2021 drafts combined, the Bengals drafted stud WR Jamar Chase (1st round), good WR Tee Higgins (2nd round), and three offensive linemen. Our highest pick at offensive playmaker in that time was Gabe Davis in the 4th round.
Benglas value playmakers and linemen. And they have signed/drafted with that value in mind. I hope we follow suit.

What is your point. Certainly Josh could have played better. Did you notice how much time he didn’t have? Sure he needed to react quicker on a couple blitzes. But overall he wasn’t the biggest issue. I’ll enlighten you when it’s all on Josh but todays not the day. Clearly and without question our HC did not have this prepared to play. Once that conversation is discussed, we can break down the players.
This isn’t a one game issue.
Allen hasn’t looked like 2020 or 2021 Allen all season.

I don’t care about the sideline frustration. That’s gonna happen. But this ^^^ pisses me off.
Youre gonna hightail it out of the stadium instead of being with your teammates? That’s BS.

UCL injury, Dorsey, call it whatever you want… Allen is not the same as last year.

I’ve resisted this idea for a long time. I’ve ignored these “fire frazier” posts for a long time.
But I’m now on board.
WAY too many miscommunications, wide open guys, timeouts needing to be taken on defense, methodical drives, etc.

I’ve been fighting that fight for two years on this forum.
There are many people here who downvote ANY post that is critical, even when it is factual. And they attack you. And report your posts. It’s frustrating.

Diggs was more open than Davis there.
-
Allen of previous years spins away from the streaking blitzer and runs to the right. I don’t know why he doesn’t do that anymore.
-
At least we put up a fight in the divisional round last year. This is gross.
We are in HC purgatory

Why?
The entire point of a season is to Win the Super Bowl.
If you don't win it, the only thing you accomplished is lowering your draft choice.
