  1. People still think we can go to Foxboro and win?
  2. From a play offs point of view, having the Colts with one less win would have made me feel more secure about our chances. Maybe 'happier' was the wrong word to use though!
  3. The Colts are excellent. At this stage I cannot see us making the Championship game this year unless we play like we did against the Bucs in the second half across at least three of the four quarters in Foxboro (and not get routed in the weaker one) plus six or seven quarters out of eight in the Wildcard and Divisional games. We shouldn’t need to bring our A Game to beat the Panthers, Falcons or Jets but we cannot flop out of the gate either. If there were any doubts about playing Josh today due to injury - I doubt there were any - I think they would be dismissed by last night’s result.
  4. I’d feel happier if the Pats had won but am more excited that the Colts were victorious. We are more than capable of beating the Pats at Foxboro but after the Jags debacle we have to focus on the job in hand first.
  5. In the end there was no challenge to the INT; no player was near it.
  6. Who was he even throwing that to?
  7. We should at least go 3-1; the Colts still have to visit the Cardinals so both teams could finish 10-7. Not sure who is ahead then?
  8. Yes. If the Pats lose this then the Bills win out, the Bills take the division.
  9. New England helping the Colts there by blocking their own runner.
  10. The Pats defend the run as well as we do watching that.
  11. Can't think why - it's not like we have a recent history of picking up Carolina hand offs...
  12. I wish our trip to Foxboro was first. If we win there then a Colts win is a must; if we lose then we’d want a Pats win here.
  13. Josh is buying pancakes from the bakery? Wait, think I might be muddling up the narratives.
  14. But it's about the story as much as the money. A Brady v Belichick Super Bowl to potentially see Brady's career out will be golddust to them.
  15. You’ll have to remind me of that one. 😳
  16. More likely to be the case when it will be against the home team?
  17. Look quite similar to me. 😁
  18. Some are wondering whether to root for the Pats to support our WC position as we lost yesterday.
  19. Even without the tip it looked like Murray was throwing into coverage there.
  20. “Currently, as a defender in this league, you have to play the ball.” Unless you’re a defender for the Bucs. 😁
  21. More like a phrase from someone who needed to go out so typed quickly and muddled up my words! 😁 Think I said nine from four instead of nine AND four too.
  22. We're capable of having a late run but we haven't often hit that standard this season.
  23. Just to add, there have been some bad calls against us this season but do I think they affected the outcome of the games? No; I think every other game this season has been lost, at it's base, on play calling or execution. To an extent you could argue that was the case yesterday, being 24-3 down at the half and that horrific 4 & 3 punt. BUT, after such a stunning fightback in the second half, to have calls go against us in such a way is difficult to accept - it's the first defeat this season where I say the officials are at least partially responsible for the outcome.
  24. You missed the horrible one out of that list - Jags. Beat two from those four and, as you say, we're nine from four. We should have beaten the Jags. We should have beaten Tampa. Titans was slot on a slip and Patriots on bad drops. In a way it's promising that we have not been playing near our best but could easily be 11-1. But we're not, because we need to be nearer our best to get over the line. Can we get back to the AFCCG? If we have too many quarters like the first two yesterday, no chance. If we have more like the second half (though we were heavily reliant on Josh) then we do have a chance. To repeat what I said on the game thread - it's the the hope that gets you.
