They're a good team even without Watt they’ll have both WRs and Freirmuth (we have stunk against tall physical TEs) is a problem.

Warren and Najee will not be easy either.

Oh and they have nothing to lose and we’re coming off a massive emotional win.

Do not take this team lightly.

That absolutely needs to be the message.

    The O/U is now 35.

It’s the playoffs and we’ve been in 5 straight emotional games. We lost our last playoff game in our building, zero chance we take a Mike Tomlin team lightly. They have a gritty, physical team but Rudolf has never played in this environment not to mention temps in the low 20s and big wind. The 12th man makes life miserable and Josh threw the ball really well against Miami. I like our chances.

He may screw up sometimes, but he puts his heart and soul into every game and when the game is on the line, he shines!

That 3rd and 13 he got to extend the drive …. NO other quarterback is getting that.

I will forever ride or die with Josh Allen. I don’t want ANYONE else. I wouldn’t trade him for Mahomes, Burrow, Rodgers and all of the gold in the world.

Allen was harassed lot of times, they were without their two best pass rushers, so don’t you think that our OL played poorly ?

The DL also didn’t play its best game, Tua was never pressured and no sacks. Do you agree ?

Just a single case, or we have to start worrying about ?

Did you forget what Tua’s stats in the 2nd half was or their rushing #s.?  Are you aware that Josh threw for 350 and Miami’s pressure came when they rushed 6 or 7.  The 2nd half adjustments took away Achan and when it counted the Biils DL pressure forced 3 three and outs with Tua’s accuracy breaking down. Try not to be negative when the team balls out to get a must win.

Bills are going to make the playoffs, and I actually believe like I did in 2021 when we were 6 games out that we are going to probably win out.  I know this will be split between the over optimistic crowd and the overly negative crowd, but I am not saying this to just say it.  In 2021 I thought the Bills figured something out in the 2nd half of the Bucs game and I started a thread saying we would win out and they did.

This year, not saying it out of blind homerism, but I really do think this team is about to finish the season strong and likely win out and make the playoffs because I am fully convinced that this offense under Brady is not just a 2 game fling and is going to continue down the stretch.

Ive been watching a lot of content on the Dorsey offense vs the differences in the Brady led offense, and its remarkable Dorsey kept his job as long as he did.  This offense IMHO has turned a corner that will stay the rest of the season.  Its now coming off a bye week to get even more settled into what Brady wants to do and tweaks and wrinkles they want to install.  So lets look at what is in store and why I feel this team is about to cook the next 5 weeks and enter the playoffs as maybe the hottest team in the AFC:

KC - Coming off a loss and an offense with no identity anymore.  The personnel grouping there is shockingly bad and this offense can no longer keep up with high powered offenses.  The thing that has saved KC this year has been the much improved defense, but that defense just got cooked by GB and took some injuries in that game too.  I think the Bills coming in off a bye, KC in an offensive rut, Rasul and Linval now more comfortable in our defense, and this just feels like a game the Bills win and probably win decisively.

DAL - They are the Dolphins of the NFC - They struggle against the better teams in the league while boosting stats on bad teams.  Their "DPOY" just got torched by Seattle along with their whole defense, and that offense in Seattle is mediocre at best.  Dak on the road in Buffalo is a recipe for a down game.  I think because of Buffalos 6-6 record and early season offensive struggles that people see this game as more dangerous than it really is.  I actually think we are going to beat the Cowboys handedly.  Wouldn't surprise me if it looks a lot like what the Niners did to Dallas.

LAC - Allen and this offense will drop over 40 on that defense, especially without Bosa.  Herbert and that offense can score too, and this might be a high scoring game, but Staley and the LAC are the best in the NFL at losing games, so even if they put a lot of points up I still think the Bills win by 2 scores.

NE - Its New England - we arent losing to them twice.  Bottom 3 team in the NFL right now without question.

MIAMI - With Trevors ankle injury, and KC losing to GB and probably losing to us this week, the #1 seed could very well be locked down for Miami by week 17 and they would rest their starters for all or part of the game.  Either way, I do not expect Miami to have much to play for and we probably don't see their starters for more than a half.  BUT even if they do need to win and play the whole game, we always cook the Fish, so a dub either way in my eyes.  The key to beating Miami is take away Tuas first read and don't give up the big play, something the Bills have excelled at during the Tua-Hill era.

I see 5 games, and I see 5 wins.  Negative crowd is gonna flame away, just like they did in 2021.  But I really do think this team is about to cook these last 5 weeks and that momentum will carry over into the post season where I don't see too much of a threat standing in the way to reach the AFCCG for the Bills.

With the offense humming and the defense integrating so much needed veteran reinforcements in Rasul and Linval, I think we are poised to make a run here.  I think 5-0 is quite possible, but even 4-1 may get the job done of getting in.

Congrats big boy, you’re officially the voice of reason. Now let’s finish the job.

It's felt this way the past three seasons. They just always seem mentally exhausted. Tons of games where they have no spark, nothing goes smoothly, players constantly looking beleaguered and embattled...it's weird, right? I can't put my finger on it, but there has been something off mentally with them for a long time.

My gut says it's coaching, but the players supposedly like McDermott & Co.

You’re looking at a team that has transitioned from an offensive Josh- centric approach to a balanced attack with a vastly improved run game and O-line. With a new OC with different priorities and Sean implementing a more aggressive defense, the team, faced with must win games for a month and a half has found it’s way to the contest that legitimizes our season and makes us the team to beat in the AFC along with Baltimore. Beleaguered is not a team that is on  4 game win streak and is getting healthy and the right time. Beleaguered is not a team that overcomes losing turnover battles 3to0 or Josh out of sorts for a half and making plays when it counts. This is the NFL, what goes smoothly? The Cowboys, Chiefs, Eagles, Dolphin and even the Niners have been up and down. I think your perception comes from the frustration of last year when the team was emotionally spent after Hamlin, the storms, our defense being porous and Josh being responsible for too much. Just enjoy the ride, and enjoy the resilience of a team that never quits.

  6. Von is a shell of the guy who Beane signed to that ridiculous contract 2 yrs ago. Lesson to be learned, don’t sign 33 yr old players to 5 year contracts with 70 million guaranteed. Now he doesn’t have the bend to turn the corner and can’t bull rush NFL tackles. Bottom line, and never thought I could say this, but Lawson and A J are just better options.

McDermott wisely calling time out when on the Bills’ final drive Brady had them lined up in shotgun in third and less than one at the NE 26 yard line with 2:41 left. I remember earlier in the season McDermott losing it when Dorsey did the same inside the one, which predictably resulted in a failure. The call there is ALWAYS to sneak it when you have Josh Allen and the tush push remains legal. My strong assumption is that McDermott saw them line up in shotgun and thought “what the actual f**k??” and called the TO. The Bills then reverted to the smart play, which of course worked. It’s those calls that be the difference in a game.

That’s a great point, in fact in short yardage I believe we can be more effective than Philly with Josh on the shove play. With a yard or less he sees a small crack and that’s a big athletic battering ram moving the pile.

    Thanks-

sure hope Fangio keeps Ramsey on the right side like he has been the majority of the year.  Line Diggs up on the opposite side qnd let him go to work on Kohou like he did week 4.  Have a feeling he may have Ramsey line up across Diggs though.

High ankle sprains are no joke.  I heard it wasn’t deemed severe but 2 weeks isn’t enough to come in a mnf make an impact.  I hope they play him tbh.

Yeah but we must key on Achane as well.  He’s really a dynamic runner.  That speed is unfair

Achane is scary and the type of player that can be dangerous on screens.

Have we heard anything to confirm that waddle and Howard are out?

Waddle has the high ankle sprain and they think he won’t be available. Howard had been struggling with a hip injury but the foot injury yesterday was on the Ravens first play and after being carted off he immediately was ruled out, so I hope they’re crazy enough to play him. With the secondary they put out there Ravens receivers were so wide open it was a bloodbath.

  10. Always felt his defensive prowess and motivational skills were excellent. The team plays hard for him and seems prepared. His problem is game day decisions and his reliance on defense to end games. He got some great plays from Oliver to save the Chargers game and Martin was an absolute star with clutch incredible punts which smothered the Pats. If the offense starts playing like they’re capable of, Sean will be OK.

  11. This guy is a star in the making. He has become the receiver that is always open and when Josh gets flushed he knows just where to be. He’s just like Beasley 3 years ago. If we can get a talented young #2, with Shakir and Kincaid (who looks like a TE who can spread the field), we will be a load to deal with.

  12. Much respect for the incredible career covering over 50 years in all the professional sports. Now at 80, Michaels doesn’t bring the fire anymore and the he wines publicly about being given bad matchups. It’s time for Al to call it a career. I personally don’t think his heart is in it anymore. The pairing with Herbstreet has little chemistry and the ratings are low by NFL standards.

Not sure if this was posted in any other threads, but in case you needed more reason to dislike Gronk and Edelman

Just a glorified goofball that has been given the license to say any imbecilic, insensitive comments and it’s written off as “it’s classic Gronk”. This Brady created assclown is a great explayer who now wants to be an NFL contributor on the studio shows but any objective observer can see he’s got a screw loose. With the mentality of doing anything for a laugh he detracts from the credibility of any show that puts him in front of a mike. He’s a Buffalo native growing up and he puts that crap about Tre out there. Great player, big schmuck.

The comparison isn’t intended to be Josh vs Trevor as a QB-there’s no debate about that. My point is that it seems Lawrence relatively speaking has gotten a much bigger pass on his turnovers than Josh has. We all know why,  but perhaps after this season there will be more scrutiny on the QB who had by far the best team in the AFC south and they could now potentially lose the division and not even make the playoffs!

You’re absolutely right, the reason I referenced the comparison is because when Josh had a 3 game hiccup scoring in the 1st half of games, sports talk imbeciles were substituting Lawrence for Josh when talking best quarterbacks.  As for your point, Mahomes has had a boatload of TOs also but he’s a magician and someone you can’t criticize.

  15. Please don’t even dignify comparisons between Lawrence and Josh. Lawrence beat the Chargers in the greatest choke job in NFL history and then proceeded to spearhead an improbable implosion going from 8 and 3 to 8 and 7., culminating in consecutive injuries and done for the season. He regressed this year and literally became a turnover machine in the losses. He’s not Josh and never will be.

First off Merry Christmas bills fans!
I wanted to throw out a scenario that I’m hopeful for but don’t believe will be popular take and would love to get some feedback.

First most important I just want bills to get in playoffs. This year more than ever has taken a toll on me. Jets, patriots, broncos, and eagles losses particular were heartbreaking. Give me even one of those wins and we likely are not even having this conversation. I would be all about the 1 seed. For now though  Bills making the playoffs and having an opportunity to go on a run is priority #1.

    Now where we may  disagree:

I don’t care about the division this year. In a perfect world to me bills beat the patriots. We have 2 probable games go our way chiefs beating bengals and Seahawks beating Steelers. Playoffs are clinched!

Following week I would be in full support of treating Miami as a bye week. Rest up,

get healthy and let’s go on a run. No risk of any other significant injury. Bills are as good as anyone in AFC this year. They aren’t getting a 1 seed. I don’t care if it’s wildcard or afc championship to make Super Bowl they will likely have to go KC and Baltimore and win which they can do.

Lastly looking wayyyy ahead to next year. I know anything can happen and it’s sometime when you play a team not who you play. But Miami wins division this year. Next year for the uncommon opponents they get the chiefs, ravens  and lions. Bills get broncos, browns and Vikings. Trust me I’m 1000% overly focused and all in this year but to me that’s significant in another competitive year.

You make excellent points but if Miami loses to Baltimore next week and we beat NE, that’s a home playoff game with the division title if we beat Miami. Wouldn’t you prefer playing KC or Miami at home in the WC round.

  17. This guy has done nothing and that fumble hurt us. When Hines went down we lost a great returner and there is no replacement on this roster. Harty has caught every punt so far until the Chargers, if he just doesn’t put it on the ground, he’ll be fine.

The reality is we were lucky yesterday.  Josh was bad Josh until the last drive.  Cook had a pivotal fumble.  The defense let a guy with no experience in the league almost win the game for the Bolts.  The only guy that played really well was Oliver.

Just admit they sucked yesterday and got lucky.  They won’t be that bad every game; I suspect they’ll squish the Fish like Josh always does.  But they sucked yesterday and have too many times this year against inferior competition and that’s why they’re in the position they’re in.

What exactly do you want fans to admit, who are trying to will their team into the playoffs? They lost 4 games with a decimated defense on the opposition’s final possession. ( Denver, Jets, Patriots and Eagles) Our defense was great in must win situations the last 3 weeks, beating the champs, the team that every objective NFL observer was the top offense the last 2 months and overcoming 4 TOs  against a highly motivated NFL team on the road. Josh is clutch and when he needed a long drive to win, he stuck it in your ear. You want to puff up your chest and denounce a team that has been flawed and is showing guts and resilience, trying to overcome a down season fine. Please don’t insult this fanbase with calling a win lucky. Wins in the NFL require pride, unity and desire. When we were 6and 6, did you think we would be 9 and 6?  You are the poor soul that gave up not the team you’re burying.

We can thank Giff for using the handy old school “ take the points” approach.  He had some chances to put more pressure on the Bills

He did the right thing taking the points and if we don’t get that 3rd down Shakir catch or Diggs 3rd down catch, we were looking at a crushing loss. Those guys played inspired ball and Josh missed some throws. We had some bad penalties with the turnovers but our defense was enormous and forced 5 FGs. We’ll play better next week guaranteed.
