I was comfortably in this place after the 2020 season.

    Now, I’m getting anxious.

In 2 years Josh will be 30.  How many more years at the peak of these current powers will he have?  3?  Maybe 5?

The good news is by then 14 other elite AFC QBs will be into year 2 or 3 of their 300 million dollar contracts to so….even playing field?

Josh is a freak of nature and I don’t see him breaking down until his late 30s. It’s up to the front office to surround him with a fresh set of talented receivers to go with Kincaid and Shakir. Our O-line will only get better and our defense has a quality DC. The way we closed out the season with the emergence of a legitimate running game should not be lost in the frustration of the Chiefs game that we could’ve won if we made a play or two.

I am on the side that you take the touchdown if it's there.

He just got knocked off his spot enough to alter the throw that he missed

Who knows what happens if he takes Diggs underneath. We will never know

100% agree, he had Shakir and makes that throw with ease with wind at his back if he doesn’t get jostled. The next throw I would love to have back. That’s where Brady could’ve come up with something better.

This patience you speak of, how many decades does it take? Just curios, as I'm well over 4 decades in

The Bills have their trajectory pointing up. They have their QB and that’s huge. They’re in a division that should get them a home playoff game. Remember every year they should learn from losing big games. Manning didn’t get a ring until his 9th season. Give Josh a legitimate #1and 2 receiver with this O-line and Cook and a healthy McDermott defense and I like our chances. This year we were really close. That last drive didn’t work out because Josh got jostled before he could step into the throw to Shakir. If we get the TD there, it’s not for sure Mahomes scores a Touchdown. We were outmanned in that game, riddled with injuries on defense( AJ Klein MLB, Douglas (knee) and our front was not able to get any pressure on Mahomes or stop the run, and we were right there. One game from the SB. Forget the 4 decades and never lose hope. Are you not being entertained by this team and especially a generational QB doing his thing. Most fans rooting for other teams would kill a relative to have Josh playing for their team.

Will be a waste due to the stubbornness of keeping HC Sean McClap.

    Devastating

    Not with McDermott

I thought the same but he was much better after 6 and 6. He let Brady do his thing and really tightened up a beleaguered defense. If he doesn’t make mistakes with personnel like keeping a kicker that has issues or not signing off on trading Diggs, we should be alright. He’s a solid motivator and the players play hard.

  5. Beane should’ve said we have to get better receivers so that teams can start calling about Diggs. He too expensive for the way he played. That drop in a big spot ended it for me. 2 or 3 years ago he makes that play. He just wasn’t aggressive and edgy from the 2nd half of the season. 27 million on the cap, no thanks.

No cap space for Henry, Diggs, no interest I Belli, Vrabel will get HC job and Bienemy is under contract. Other than those issues your dream off season is perfect.

  7. Beane is restricted by bad contracts and Josh’s # exploding. If he can fortify the secondary and DL with draft and FA along with a #1 and a #2 or 3 receiver we could challenge for a championship. A Diggs trade is crucial because his 27 million can be replaced by more production. I think Shakir is a #2 and Kincaid can be Kelce. I don’t see Knox being here unless they think he can improve. His contract is too big for his small contribution. The O-line is fine and will be better next year.

I love Josh to death but why would he pass up a wide open Stef underneath, a possible first down to drain more clock to instead try and score a TD leaving 1:50 on the clock against a player that beat the Bills with only 13 seconds left?  The goal was very simple here.   It’s to score a TD with almost no time left especially when only a field goal is all the Bills need to extend the game so it wasn’t like the Bills needed a TD on that down.  I know he doesn’t have a coach that will hold him accountable like Dabol would but we are on year six here where he should already know the situation.  I love Josh we owe all these playoff years to him but I’m so dissapointed that he wouldn’t be able to dissect that situation for what it was.  I can’t put that one on Sean as much as I have wanted him gone for a few years😭😭

He had Shakir but jostled by Jones bull rushing Dawkins into him he couldn’t step into the throw.  How could you as a fan, question his abilities when he was the friggin offense and lead the team team in rushing and scored 2 Touchdowns. The beaten up defense allowed 4 straight TD drives if you don’t count the touchback. How about the TD drives he engineered with wide receivers doing nothing but dropping perfectly thrown passes. You’re just a malcontent who makes this forum an embarrassment. Without Josh you’re wearing a paper bag on your head at games.

  9. The sad truth is with Josh anything is possible. He’s the best QB in the league next to #15. The game against KC was going to be tough because our defense was unable to stop the run or put pressure on the QB and Mahomes beats teams like that. Josh found a way but that last series after the 2min warning was defended well and we couldn’t get the lead. Forget Bass who shouldn’t be our kicker and is only there because he was competent in years past. I believe we could’ve been competitive vs Balt and beaten the NFC.

We need a good kicker and to be kicking in a stadium that isn't horribly engineered for the elements.

Don’t blame elements when good kickers come in and just drill. Ever wonder why Bass’s kicks fade so much to the right and good kickers hit the kicks straight or slightly draw in. Bass does not make solid contact and that’s why he duck hooks and hits low kicks that get blocked. Sean is loyal to the kid but he just wrecks our hopes. A team can’t let a bad kicker crush a whole team that leaves their guts on the field.

  11. A big time incriminating statistic against Sean. He should have found a way to pressure Mahomes, he was finding receivers wide open. Also, Pacheco was running wild against our front.  The LBs and DL had a bad game. We were outmanned and if Josh pulled that game out of his rear end it would have been miraculous. He came close.

I think my comment is pretty fair. The Shakir pass was obviously not a sure thing and Josh did get pushed from behind. I think the motion with Diggs made it obvious he should have been the go-to guy cause he was wide open from the snap. Take the sure play.

Oh so because he didn’t go to Diggs, who’s been invisible and underachieving, Josh can never get us over the hump. That’s the imbecilic statement made.

Diggs dropping that bomb. We end of punting in that drive. No points scored. We probably (maybe?) get at least three there if caught.

This is the one that kills me the most. Josh missing the crossing route to Diggs there on the last drive on 2nd and 9. If caught, Diggs definitely gets a first and probably goes down around the 10. It’s plays like these that made a Brady great cause he would see it, take the easy, high percentage, throw and keep the chains moving and the clock ticking. I honestly think at this point Josh will never get us over the hump because of either his inability to see plays like that or unwillingness to take the easy dump off even at crunch time.

Bass missing the FG at the end. Statistically Bass has been one of the worst kickers this season. I’ve been harping about it since the beginning of December. McD simply never trusted him the second half of the season. Last week was a giant flashing sign saying “don’t trust bass!” that McD didn’t heed. Even his XPs tonight were barely eeking in between the uprights. Now I understand if we make that FG, the chiefs still have a lot of time and two TOs, but missing it guaranteed we would lose.

Just dismiss our generational QB as someone who will Never get us over the hump. What does it matter that KC shut down our wide receivers all night forcing runs and dump offs.  When he had a few shots down the field, 3 drops on perfect throws( 2 Sherfield, 1Diggs) Does it matter that Mahomes would have had 4 straight TD drives if they didn’t fumble through the End Zone. Does it matter he led us in rushing, 2 TDs himself. The fact that we were in a position to win, being outmanned is only because of the QB. It’s silly comments like yours that  make this board laughable. He got jostled by Dawkins pushed into him on the play you wanted him to check down to Diggs, or else Shakir has an easy TD. I know you’re frustrated, but Josh is the only reason the fans aren’t wearing bags over their heads.

  14. Beane has put together a competitive roster with a few questionable signings( Miller at 33,  Saffold, Ford, Phillips). The effort in the last 6 games has elevated this team in the context of being one of the best teams in the conference. Brady has put together better game plans and unpredictable play calling. Cook, Shakir, Kincaid and Johnson have become really productive pieces in a Josh led offense. With Jones back and Eddie playing great football our front has been dominant and disruptive. Bernard and Dodson have played well and Douglas has been a great addition. With veterans Hyde and Poyer providing great leadership, Beane’s roster construction can’t be questioned. He has to be given credit for bringing Brady,Douglas and Joseph in mid season. Regardless of the outcome, I have gained much respect for Beane and his impact on this team that played inspired football to save their season.

  15. Impossible to feel confident with the cloud of availability on defense hanging over. If Douglas, Johnson and Dodson play even at 80%, I believe in our offense scoring enough to get a win. Without 2 or 3 of these starters, I can’t see AJ, Elam and Williams holding Mahomes and company too well. Then we have to win a shootout. 50- 50 at best.

  16. Never take this show seriously. Nick has never given an objective opinion on Josh or the Bills. He’s just a huge KC Chiefs/Mahomes fan that resents other sports talk experts comparing the 2 or praising Buffalo at all. He’s seldom right on anything and he’s about 30% on picking games. He predicted early that the Bills had regressed and Josh was just a turnover machine and losing QB and Sean will be fired. 4 weeks ago he said the Bills were the best team in the league to miss the playoffs. Then he said Miami would beat us and end our season. Now after our great run, with a  win at KC , he says if we don’t beat them on Sunday, Sean should be fired because this would mean he could never get passed them. Just another guy from KC who has a little show and rides the national glorification of Mahomes to justify denigrating any other players and teams. When KC lost 4 out of 5 he would sheepishly say they would be fine and their defense was the best in the league. Never once would he acknowledge the offensive cluelessness of their team. He’s got zero credibility and he’s a stooge that never gets called out when he’s wrong all the time.

Yes, I get that. But he could still lead by example, by showing intensity, coaching other players with energy, etc. His lack of physical prowess has not erased all the status he's earned as a player and leader.  IDK how he is daily, but on gameday he seems mentally off, like  he is just checking in to get a paycheck.

Being a healthy scratch and then getting limited snaps probably has him demoralized and doubting his value. Sometimes it’s hard getting credibility for motivational on field coaching when you’re hurting the cause.
