  1. Has Levi Jones' play fallen off so much he's not even worth keeping?
  2. Well, there is Nic Harris at OLB, but yeah, I do agree. If we were going to take a flyer on a late-round pick with special teams potential, why not grab some more linebackers? At least we have UDFA to look forward to to fill some spots.
  3. The late-round picks make no sense, but at the very least, they don't really cost us anything. But otherwise, it was a very solid draft, and one way or another, we drafted three linemen in the first two rounds.
  4. McGee, at least, is on his second contract. He's the CB that we DID extend, at least once. Let's do it again.
  5. I'm guessing he gets cut in the next few weeks.
  6. That's amazing. If only they had something more than Sage Rosenfels.
  7. Alex Mack! Gone to Cleveland.
  8. Okay, so there's seven guys between us and the pick, so here's seven options: 1.) Michael Oher 2.) Eben Britton 3.) Alex Mack 4.) William Beatty 5.) Clay Matthews 6.) Rey Malaunga 7.) James Laurentiis Assuming that Beanie Wells gets picked in there, we're assured of one of those seven guys.
  9. Pettigrew to the Lions. Nerts.
  10. There are some quality OTs on the board here for us - between #28 and #42, we'll get one, no doubt. Is it time to bite on a TE or middle lineman?
  11. Crabtree's grinning - is it too early for someone to move up for Freeman?
  12. That's the line - look for trades to start picking up now, the 8th pick is much cheaper than the 7th.
  13. So, Crabtree, Oher, Monroe, or Raji will be there when we pick, to keep or trade down with. Plus Freeman.
  14. So, there are only four more players we won't have a chance at. The top four prospects generally are the two other OTs (Monroe, Oher), BJ Raji, and Michael Crabtree. So if one of them falls to us, we can take him or trade down (with Crabtree), or otherwise the pick of the litter.
  15. So Eugene Monroe starts to slip a little bit. If he dropped to us, I'd be amazed and thrilled.
  16. Abram Elam beat us twice this year, I don't mind seeing him gone.
  17. Trade in: 1st, 2nd, Kenyon Coleman, Abram Elam, and Brett Ratliff.
  18. I think my best feeling on draft day was in 2001. Nate Clements was a great pick and it was the last time that we successfully traded down in the first round.
  19. Yeah, I think if we really make contact three times, we'll be in great shape. I mean, ideal case? We get a bookend left tackle, a fierce pass rusher, and a reliable TE? That would leave our weaknesses as interior line, OLB, and FS? I think we'd make it at least to the hunt. Now, three great picks is an awfully big IF.
  20. Saturday primetime isn't even valuable TV space - it seems like afternoon is really the idea time for it. Wasn't there a proposal to do the first five picks Friday night (8:00-9:30 or something) then pick up at noon for the balance of round 1 plus 2+3? That would make sense I think.
