Not comparable.... Allen is Allen, his own class.  However, Jones is Jones and we can't be sure what that really is based on a small sample size of a rookie year.  So far the analysis of him has been pretty accurate, and "if" he makes that second year leap then he's nothing to laugh at.  Allen is a superstar, I feel blessed and comfortable that we have him.  That said, Jones won't be winning any shoot outs against Allen or taking over with his legs, but that wasn't Brady's game either.  They (Allen/Jones) play the same position, but its apples and oranges.  (Apples seem soooo much better though! lol)

  2. A satisfying win, but def not a "beatdown".  It was competitive right until our final scoring drive with just minutes left in the 4th qtr.    Last year in Foxboro was a beatdown, the two games don't resemble each other.  I expect a lot of games like this last one over the next few years.  We are established and they managed to successfully rebuild in one frickin year.

Take it elsewhere dude. I can promise you’ve never seen me come on here and apologize for mcdermott. It’s easy to see one team here is getting hit with more impactful absences than the other…. So stop.

… I still expect the bills can win this game.

Seems pretty even to me.  The lost WR2 and WR3. RB2 is out and RB 1 is hobbled.  A running team can't run without RBs, and they can't revert to passing with a rookie QB and half their WR's out.  They're F'd.

If I were them I'd put Stidham in and run the Cam Newton offense.  lol

Lol. Bro. We’re missing half our OL to covid and now backups that’s are filling in. Not to mention our 2nd and 3rd wr’s… ON A TEAM THAT RELIES ON THE PASS. They’re gonna have Harris, and might be missing Bourne. That’s it. I totally disagree with you.

Bro... Harris may be available, but with a hamstring issue he's no where near 100%.  Stevenson is now out also, as is Agholor.  They are in tough shape, just like us.

First the wind that totally plays into their strengths and now this…. Seriously?… Like WTF

Ya, and their starting RB is hobbled with a hammy and Kendrick Bourne (COVID list) and Nelson Agholor (concussion) have been unable to practice this week.

Keep things in context dude.... Everyone has to deal with adversity this time of year and good teams figure it out.  We have Diggs and no one, they have no one.  lol

    predictions (dah)

    1) Never a “pocket” for Josh

    2) NE will play action our D to death

    3) Our coach/players will take too long to adjust and react.

    You forgot:

    4) We get more penalties, some at just the right moment for NE

In the end it will be close enough for our Homers to go nuts about how we shoulda won and we're better (too many 'reasons' to even speculate).

This game is a 50/50 proposition.

I keep seeing that sentiment, but they're pretty banged up.  Aghelor might not be at 100%, and we don't know about Bourne. That's a big loss to that unit if neither can play.

Who are we definitely missing besides Beasley and Feliciano right now?  Not saying they aren't big losses, but we're fairly deep at WR at least....

I checked a few sites, nothing about Agholor, Harry was at practice, Bourne remains on the Covid list.  Harris was at practice, but is still listed as out with the hamstring issue.  Other than their RB1 and defacto WR1, they seem fine.  😁

So they are thin at RB and will start a rookie QB and RB.  I expect a lot of screens.

Oh, another reason why I'm high on this game.

Belichick has his hand picked Brady successor.  He had an enormous FA budget, and spent cash like water building a roster designed from the ground up to beat teams like KC and Buffalo.  He thinks he knows exactly what's coming and has all the tools he needs to beat it on both sides of the ball.

If he doesn't, it means NE's best shot wasn't good enough.  When are they gonna have $150 million in cap space again?  Yeaaahhh.

As it stands they have 31.5 million in cap space next year, we have 8.9.  So that 150 mil we guarantee Allen is the same they laid out over a few years for multiple impact players, and they still have wiggle room.  Our guaranteed money got us a superstar QB and pedestrian OL to protect him.  I don't see where we won the offseason.

Disagree Bruffalo. My daughter went to college in Boston and the city dwellers from what I saw were not the true m***holes you're thinking of. There are so many higher learning institutions there,  not only a lot  students but a lot of staff aren't natives of MA either.

I was quite pleasantly surprised Boston city is a really cool town. Out of staters crowd out the natives haha

    Agreed.

I'll take Boston over any other Northeast city any day.... history, culture, food, entertainment, and trafficability.  Hate NYC, the density of D-bags per capita is very high there.  As far as M*ssholes, I found that if you run in to a few, its them.  If that's all you run in to, its you.

Yet they went on to a SB and win one with a different coach who was also fired a few years later.

And Reid won a SB, went to another and has lived in the playoffs since he got to KC.  Right now in the Legue, Reid is runner up to the GOAT in resume, and Philly fired that guy.

As far as Bills HC's are concerned, McD is the 2nd best in our 60 year history.  He has less talent than Levy had, and he's highly successful.

Who is out there this off season that we could get that could do a better job???

We are 4th highest in the NFL in terms of penalties per play, not middle of the pack...but surprisingly also the 10th highest "beneficiaries" of penalties on the opponents as well...although the net is still slightly negative...and they must be the crappy variety considering our net is 9th worst at -3.829 yards

Surprisingly Tampa Bay is the lowest in terms of Beneficiary rate, meaning the fewest penalties have been called against their opponents...except when they play the Bills apparently.  Bills are also in the top 7 for declined penalties and offsetting penalties.

At -4 yds a game net, its tough to make a case that the League is out to get us.  We're averaging 6.8 per game, which looks like every other year's average for us: https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/penalties-per-game

We run play action a ton as well, and before you say something about us not running the ball well, it has already been shown via numerous studies and analytics that running the ball well is of no consequence to whether play action is effective or not...there is simply no way in the world that teams are holding their receivers more than the Bills receivers...and our TE is probably having as good or better a year then either of theirs is.

It was just a guess.  Anyway, we're middle of the pack in penalties: https://www.nflpenalties.com/
