  1. That’s ok, neither does our Bills management. It’s why we have sucked for decades.
  2. Yep, I’m even sure most wanted Josh Allen vs other options. The board has done very well over the years. There are a handful that I remember that didn’t turn out well. Clausen, Spiller, Watkins. Spiller wasn’t a terrible pick though, just not utilized properly. We passed on Gronkowski, which I remember so many people wanted to draft. Honestly, Pegs should just consult the board rather than the GM. The board has generally done well. Tons of us were screaming for Woolen when he was dropping, even after taking Elam. Imagine if they would have listened to us about taking Woolen, then we would have great depth.
  3. Not only has it been bad in recent years, we have not done Josh any favors outside of Diggs. We desperately need another #1 to pair with Diggs to act as a relief valve and to help free up the offense when Diggs is doubled. Cinci has this, Philly has this, KC kind of has this. We don’t. We don’t have the oline either to help mask it. It’s pretty obvious what we need to do, but I’m not sure Beane will do it.
  4. We can do that to, its before players actually start playing, so it would still be indicative on true talent evaluation. I think it would be cool to have a Joes vs the Pros every year and see just how well the Bills Mafia stacks up against the pros.
  5. Ask yourself how a joe can do basic research leading up to the draft, and hit on prospects better than our football administrators have that get paid thousands of dollars and it’s their career. I guarantee you, if this board made a selection round by round poll of prospects available during that round, and you took the top 3 players voted for, the board would perform better than professionals. I might just do that this year.
  6. Thanks Shredder. My personal philosophy has always been about merit. The best of the best. I truly believe this board has some really good talent evaluators, and I want to see a centralized location of some discussion of prospects. It’s nice to see a list of players people have high hopes for, and then maybe make some kind of notation for future references. I believe collective analysis is better than just a handful of “elite” professional scouts. I bet you if you took about 30 of the best posters evaluations here and compared it to our draft choices, the board would have performed better.
  7. @mrags was on the Hall/Woolen train as well. I think you even thumbed me up about it. Glad to see you can identify top talent as well. You should post in my GM thread and talk about the upcoming draft.
  8. Beane was brought here to win a super bowl. Nothing else. We want to see the baby. If he can’t deliver soon, we have to find someone that will.
  9. Oh come on man, don’t take it so personal. Some of us love the Bills way to much and we all want to win a super bowl. Hitting on draft picks is such a key issue, and many of us are tired of watching talented players passing us by, only to watch them go on to have great careers elsewhere. If some of us little folks can see it, why can’t professional football administrators see it?
  10. Kind of hard to make this a poll. Too many draft prospects to list, it would have to be a poll based on position by position, and I would do that but people would complain about me spamming.
  11. LOL its about who can identify talent. It’s cool to see how well members on this board can identify talent.
  12. Look at all the Tariq Woolen love in here. So many good talent evaluators.
  13. So post a list so we can see how awesome you’d be at it.
  14. We are missing a key piece. I think I’m more frustrated than anything. I know we are close, and like Diggs, just kind of just agitated by it all. If we go draft Hyatt and a bunch of Olinemen and get a 1B to pair with Diggs, we are super bowl champs. Diggs Hopkins Hyatt Davis Shakir Is a super bowl winning roster. We just need something to get over the hump. I feel like an elite QB is one of those positions that should never be traded until the very end of his career. Once you begin to feel like Allen can’t win a super bowl, no matter who his supporting cast is, is when we should start talking about trading him away for a 1st or more.
  15. Philly had already drafted a 1st round WR and then traded for another elite WR. Cincinnati has 2 elite WRs, and Mahomes has Kelce and decent supporting players. If Buffalo wants to compete against Philly, Cinci, and KC , they need another elite offensive weapon. There aren’t many elite WRs on the trade market. Diggs + Hopkins is unstoppable. Then draft Hyatt to be WR3.
  16. Carr could barely do anything with Adams, I don’t see him doing much with Thomas.
  17. You can get a good judge of character from game film. Heart players don’t take plays off, they grind, they exude energy, they go hard every second. They fight for every inch of yardage, they hurdle, they exercise and study when nobody else is. Hyper focused players shows up on game film. That’s indicative of heart, because it shows you they care extra when most people don’t. You could see this in Kuechly’s tape, he was hyper focused. Same with Sanders.
  18. I disagree, you can spot character on the field. It’s the same way I knew Kuechly would be an all time great. The same way I knew Josh Allen would be great. When players do extra things on the field that nobody else is doing, it shows heart. Those things don’t go away with money. Sanders, Battle, and Vorhees have the IT factor. Particularly Sanders. He has so much heart in his game.
  19. I think you can measure someone’s motor. It shows up in the game film. Players like Sanders, Battle, and Vorhees come to mind. You can see it on tape, they glow with passion. Some are just better at recognizing it.
  20. It doesn’t have to be your top 10 overall, just 10 picks regardless of rounds to where you think those players will have a above average contribution in their careers.
  21. Would rather trade for DeAndre Hopkins
  22. If this was true, why do NFL franchises spend so much money on scouting departments and GMs? After all if it was such a crap shoot, any joe could get similar results.
  23. We are likely 10-7 without Josh and Diggs. We are not a better overall team vs Cincinnati, which is all that matters. We need to go out and do what Philly did, trade or draft an elite WR to pair with Diggs. Go trade for Hopkins and draft a player like Hyatt and we will win a super bowl. Hopkins is the missing piece, and we are in a striking position to make it happen. Now is the time to do these kinds of trades. Diggs Hopkins Hyatt Davis Shakir Is a super bowl caliber offense.
  24. ? Why, this is just who you think are great players in the draft to test ones evaluation skills. Preferably players that are fringe 1st round or later so as to see who can hit on the more difficult to gauge talents. Just like I left out Gonzalez and Witherspoon on purpose because they are a no brainer.
  25. We are 13-3 simply because of Josh Allen and Diggs. We are not winning Super Bowls because we are losing to more balanced teams. Josh Allen isn’t super man, he’s amazing and it’s a testament to how good he is with the less elite talent around him. Just go get Josh Allen DeAndre Hopkins and draft a bunch of olinemen and we would win a super bowl. Hopkins + Diggs + Oline infusion = Super Bowl
