  1. Diggs + Hopkins might be the most exciting thing on offense in years. I can’t think of a better duo in some time.
  2. A Hopkins warning is now in effect, store up on essentials, popcorn, and beer. Do not try to venture out during these exceptional times.
  3. Yep, Avila is the quintessential Bill. He should be our priority pick in the draft. Get Vorhees later in the draft and let him heal.
  4. He’s still dominant, did you not watch him last year? If the guy would have played a full season, he’d be well over 1,000 yards. With back up QBs. Imagine what he would do with Allen throwing him the ball and playing next to a pro caliber WR which he has never done before.
  5. I said I would only do it if KC is offering a 2nd, which it doesn’t sound like they are. Nobody said anything about it being a 2023 pick, it can be a 2024 pick. Go get Hopkins and use the entire draft on oline and a LB. That’s my plan.
  6. I’m making the assumption that Beane will address the oline in the draft. But generally yes I agree with you, but Hopkins should be the first main piece to get us to where we want to go. That allows us to not have to immediate use a pick on WR in the draft, but instead pick up more protection pieces for Allen. Avila is my main target for oline, the dude just stonewalls people.
  7. He’s one of the best pass protecting linemen in the draft. I’ve skimmed over his stats and game play, and he would absolutely help give Allen the time he needs.
  8. Which is why I want to trade for Hopkins and totally dedicate the draft to the oline and a LB. Go get Avila and a RT. Maybe a Drew Sanders for MLB.
  9. Maybe I am over analyzing the situation, but for me the choice is obvious. We have an elite QB and if he gets another elite WR option, I just don’t see how other teams can stop us. Now teams can double Diggs and neutralize Davis and we stall out at times. You can’t do that with Diggs and Hopkins. WRs like Hopkins and Evans would completely bulletproof our offense and it’s exactly why I’ve been so adamant about these two WRs. They are exactly the type of WR we need to free up Diggs and vise versa. Hopkins has put up fantastic numbers even without having an elite WR playing next to him, imagine what Hopkins is going to do if he can’t be doubled as much as he has been in the past. Dude is going to absolutely change us to an unstoppable force.
  10. Billsy or not, we win a super bowl with Hopkins, sig it. You aren’t stopping Diggs + Hopkins with Allen throwing the ball. With good WR depth like Davis and Shakir eating if teams focus on both Diggs and Hopkins.
  11. Honestly no, I’m pretty good at poker and win a fairly good amount of times. I’m not saying to come right out and offer a 1st, I’m just saying I would do it if that is what it took to solidify the trade. I’m not saying you should pay that much, but if it is necessary to do what we need to do to win a super bowl, you do it. If KC is offering a 2nd, then you offer a 1st, you have to keep DHop out of KC. I’m sure Beane realizes that Hopkins in KC is a disaster and we must do what we can to stop that.
  12. I’m super confident we win a super bowl if we land Hopkins. It’s impossible to double both Diggs and Hopkins, so somebody is going to eat, even if that means Davis or Shakir feast. This is the missing piece of offense. I’ve been saying it since Davis failed to breakout. I honestly don’t even care if we give up a 1st (if that is what it takes), it shouldn’t but I’m willing to do it. Not only does Hopkins provide another solid 1B option opposite of Diggs, he is a solid backup in case we run into injury issues with Diggs. We land Hopkins, nobody is stopping us.
  13. It ultimately depends on what KC and other teams are offering. I mean would anyone really care if we sent a 2nd if it meant we win a super bowl next year with Diggs + Hopkins?
  14. Yep, this isn’t something that is totally out of our control. It’s not like Hopkins is a FA and has a choice to where he goes. This is all about negotiations and working the cap. This falls squarely on Beane to make this happen. It will be a major L if he loses to KC’s GM.
  15. If it is truly between us and KC, we need to do everything in our power to make it happen. I will throw up if we lose out to the KC management.
  16. Who really knows though, he very well could have down the stretch. He was gaining more carries per game every game until his injury. Averaging nearly 1 TD a game and seeing some high usage in the air (which we already knew he was capable of). https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/rookie-running-backs-to-rush-for-more-than-1000-yards-in-rookie-season He’s in great company, list correlates well to a decent career.
  17. He was definitely on pace for a 1,000 yard season. Which you really can’t ask for much more being a rookie.
  18. I was honestly getting fairly depressed over the last week given the lack of interest to make power moves to put us over the top against teams like KC/Cinci. That was until I legitimately started believing Hopkins was realistically obtainable. Now I’m sucked back into the vortex. This is the piece we need on offense to compete against the arms race.
  19. Yep, for me it’s about winning. Do what it takes. Whatever it takes. The Pegula’s have been more than willing so far to basically write massive checks. I’d be more surprised if the Bills didn’t land a WR or Hopkins caliber given where we are at during this point. Now is the time you want to make moves like this, when you are only a piece away. Lol and we were right until an injury derailed things. Just like I was right about Woolen.
  20. It’s not that I would want to give up a 1st round for Hopkins, but if we were in a bidding war with KC for Hopkins and that is what it took to keep him off their roster, I’d do it. Hopkins on our team is a super bowl, and nobody is going to complain what we had to do to get Hopkins if we win a super bowl. I’m not saying no to do it, but I just don’t know what is physically feasible. I’d have to imagine the Pegula’s are basically telling Beane to do whatever it takes to win a super bowl, especially given Kim’s health status. She likely wants to see this franchise and city win a super bowl while she is still living. I know I would if I was the owner with sufficient cash and I knew my health was not the greatest.
  21. As much as I would love this, I don’t think it’s possible to do both financially. Even if you restructured everyone and or traded away pieces like Oliver to free up cash. If Beane can just land Hopkins, I would be more than excited.
  22. I’m just thinking of it from a logical point of view. We barely beat KC with Kelce and JuJu. We don’t have the personnel to guard Hopkins and Kelce. OBJ doesn’t command the double teams like Hopkins does. Just like KC doesn’t have the personnel to guard Diggs and Hopkins. If it is between us, whoever lands Hopkins will win a super bowl. If Hopkins goes to KC, it’s over, sig it. Those 2 are fairly easily replaceable, they don’t scare teams. Hopkins + Kelce is a way more dangerous combo than JuJu/Har + Kelce. You can’t double both Hopkins and Kelce, and we already have a hard time covering Kelce. We would be screwed.
  23. KC is likely thinking the same thing about Buffalo. They know Hopkins + Diggs is dangerous, and they don’t really have an answer for it either. Which is why it wouldn’t surprise me if their is a battle going on behind the scenes for Hopkins services.
