  1. Can any of you remember a time when the Bills were this popular. There are 3 undefeated teams, but the Bills seem like they have a new article about them almost every day. Actually, 90% of them are about Trent Edwards. I don't really have a point here, i'm just not used to it.

    Seriously, it's kinda awesome.

Interesting side note, has anyone else noticed that all of the pics used in these articles are of us in our Throw-Back uniforms? I really think we need to make the switch permanently. For a small market team who needs money, we need to take advantage of this hype and push some merch. Throwbacks!!!!

  2. I'd actually like to see more of Ellis and what he can do..Schobel is a little disheartening right now...I wish Bowen wasnt hurt...we really need to see what he can do so Buffalo can decide what to do next offseason..Ellison is not a starter caliber player and Crowell is most likely gone even tho for some reason hes still with the team on IR...so next offseason Buffalo either gets a FA LB to fill Crowells spot, lets Bowen take over or drafts a 1st round LB....has Fine played yet?...hes been hurt since game 1 right?...if we dont see what Fine can do either, Buffalo will need to think about TE next offseason also...to be honest, and this is just my opinion, the way Youboty is playing and Greer and McGee..I really think Buffalo could have gotten away with drafting Corner and right now McKelvin looks like a wasted #11 pick...not saying hes bad just saying we could have gone with McGee, Greer, Youboty, Corner, James and used pick #11 on OL or DL..but Bills didnt know what they had in youboty in April yet...I like they kept Bell, Omon and Johnson...they have a future I think...and to whomever runs www.billsdaily.com - Fred Jackson and Terrence McGee are not rookie punt and kick returners...lol

Yeah, in hindsight I agree. At the time, I loved the pick and I do like McKelvin. But, imagine had we traded down and gotten Fred Davis or another premier Tight End. Once again, it's nice to have the luxury to only look for depth, and not have to be praying people don't exploit certain players from week to week.

  3. Anyone else love the way we are handling our rookies right now? Yes, some would argue that the only way to get better is to throw players into the fire. But that can either make or break a player. We have such great depth right now, and other players finally stepping up (Reed, Youboty, Royal), that we can work these guys in slowly. I really only think that this can pay off in a great way. Don't get me wrong, I want to see Hardy, McKelvin, Ellis, Johnson, and Corner on the field to see what they can do, but I think this will only make them better. Next year, I'm afraid to see cuts because our depth is geting so strong.

On a side note, I must apologize to Jauron for all the evil things i've said in my head. The man has a plan and it is working. He didn't have the talent for his plan at first, but it's a good plan and it's starting to show now. While I love a 4-0 start, I'm almost more excited about the years to come. Our team is so young and our needs in the draft aren't as alarming as they used to be, so now we just look to go from certain B players to A players. This is how dynasty's are built. Also, like we heard before and I never cared until now, the players just absolutely love him.

Jauron, you are our coach and Trent is our QB. Keep leading the way.

  4. Greer and Jackson are the only two that would not make sense to let go. Yes, we have a ton of CB's. But to have 4 quality players is not a bad thing, especially when you play the Pats twice a year.

If not, the franchise and trade Greer or Youboty. Honestly, I am so happy with our overall depth, that we could draft a TE, LB, and the rest O-Linemen and I think we are even better next year.

  5. Has anyone noticed that most of Trent's deep throws are dead on the money and have resulted in touchdowns? I'm not complaining, just bringing that up..

    PTR

See, once again, why can't someone point something out without it being an attack? I've already posted numerous times that I think Trent is our guy. I'm merely asking if anyone else has noticed this. The person who posted about Trent being asked to drop balls in, rather than lead makes a lot of sense.

I only think about this with the upcoming game against Arizona and wonder if we could hold up in a shoot-out.

  6. While it has drove me nuts all of the previous weeks, I'm hoping for a drag out the clock, run the ball, close score game against the Cards I don't think we would win the way the Jets did last week. We just don't have the offense. I see people get mad last week when the Bills didn't score quickly against the league's worst defense, but the did try. They took more deep shots than they have in any week. Fortunately, when they settled for FG's or punted, the Rams couldn't do squat with the ball. That will not be the case this week. I don't care what their record is, the Cards can put up points. We need to control the ground game, control the clock, and play to go up by two scores late in the game.

    Agree?

  7. Question. Has anyone else noticed that all of the deepballs that Edwards have thrown requires the receivers to slow down? I've yet to see this brought up anywhere and therefor wondering if i'm nuts. He has great zip on the ball in his short game, but I also believe that we have left some TD's on the field cause the WR's haven't been able to keep stride in their deep catches. I'm not complaining by any means, I'm just wondering if anyone else has noticed the same things.

  8. I am a JP supporter. Have been since day one. I just love the kid and was really excited for last season when he was our starter from the getgo. It really hit home when that issue of the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle came out with him standing in front of the city of Buffalo talking about how much he wants to give back to the great city. Honestly, the kid just seemed like a great, caring guy who wanted nothing more than to be a successful qb for the Bills.

With that being said, I know truly believe that Trent is our guy. I don't say it begrudgingly because I never disliked Trent. I merely didn't like that he wasn't JP. But now, I just can't deny any longer that, for what the Bills try to do on offense, there is no better QB for us than Trent.

My question to all the other JP supporters, do you know not feel the same way? If so, I'd be curious to hear your reasoning.

Also, I must say that I am torn on JP right now. While I love him being a Bill, I also want him to have his chance to play. I almost wanted to see him get traded to the Vikings cause I think his style of play would fit in great there. I don't want to see him leave, but I want to see what he has in the tank.

    Go Bills

  9. I hope that things work out for Greer in the same respect

    Evans third-richest WR? Believe it

The Buffalo Bills have made Lee Evans the third-highest-paid receiver in the NFL.

How could this happen? Evans has never been to a Pro Bowl. He has gained 850 or more yards only once in his four NFL seasons. Last year, he tied for 45th in receptions and 32nd in yardage.

So the Bills on Thursday awarded him with a four-year extension worth $37.25 million, putting him behind only obvious superstars Larry Fitzgerald and Steve Smith -- five Pro Bowls and three 100-catch seasons between them -- on the salary leaderboard.

And Evans is worth every penny. He is that good.

The Evans deal sends a reassuring message to the rest of the team that if you go about your business professionally, you will be rewarded. Evans went to the Bills last year about extending his contract.

Although a deal hadn't been struck by the time training camp opened, he reported anyway. He practiced hard. Talks continued.

Imagine where Pro Bowl left tackle Jason Peters would be had he not held out. Maybe he would have a new deal, too. Peters has made no progress toward a new deal and still is trying to cast a shadow of the dominating presence he did last year.

Evans went about his business the proper way, and the Bills gave him a proper contract.
