  1. Over the last three games the Bills have statistically the worst defense in the NFL. This is certainly due to injuries. But the reason does not change the problem. Very bad defense. If opposing teams put up 127 passer ratings and run for 4 yards per carry as the Mac Jones led patriots did the Bills will almost certainly lose. Against the Jets and the Patriots the Bills offense struggled but actually played the full 60 minutes and gave the team two good chances to win. It’s seems we are doing everything we can on offense to keep our defense off the field. The Bills controlled time of possession in both of those games.
  2. Well, the Bills have actually outscored KC this season. The difference is the Bills choked away two very winnable games (Jets overtime with the ball, Patriots lead with less than 2 minutes). Chiefs have won their winnable games, Bills have not. Chiefs are not 6-1 because they are entering the fourth quarter with 20 point leads. The Bills have a choking problem, not an offense problem. Reverse the chokes and the Bills are 6-1.
  3. What is the meme trying to allude too?
  4. Everything is possible. You might win the power ball lottery with the purchase of a single ticket. But most likely you won't. That is how statistics work. That fact that HC-QB superbowl combos have clicked pretty quickly in history is an indicator that is common, while taking years and years to click is rare. Even recently, Hurts/Siriano , Taylor Burrow, Ried / Mahomes, McVay Goff, Mcvay Stafford, Arians/ Brady all are situations from the last couple of years of things clicking quickly. But none of these teams had a process, so the Super Bowl appearances are more or less not satisfactory to their fan bases.
  5. Just so people know, this had nothing to do with an alleged player meeting. Something he said to WGRZ. Not sure why this completely different topic was merged into a speculation thead.
  6. https://x.com/_jacosta/status/1716897405269143835?s=20 So much better than "I don't have the answers". They may not succeed, but at least someone is throwing down the gauntlet.
  7. I think the offense is running in neutered position, because their is a priority to keep the defense off the field as long as possible. Statistically over the last three games, over the course of full games (second half points still count as points), the Bills are actually one of the top offenses in scores per possession. This includes three missed field goals by Bass. It is not clear at all that "anemic" is a fair description.
  8. Reasonable point. But it seems we have 5 Josh Allen bashing threads on page 1, all the time.
  9. Punting unnecessarily and Bass missing three field goals in two games and TDs being wiped out with penalties is not helping over the last three games.
  10. The best part of the defense, is that the offense is controlling the ball for the majority of the game. 32 minutes vs 28 against the pats. Given the Bills EPA, we should be trying to run track meets against teams like the Patriots. But it seems protecting the facade that the defense is good is the more important goal for the offense.
  11. second half points count the same. Defense choked away a lead with less than two minutes to play, and the leagues worst offense 75 yards from the endzone. Loss is owned 100% by the defense. Bad defense, can't close. We have seen it numerous times.
  12. Where would we get special team players and depth if we trade draft picks?
  13. Personally I feel like having a guy who might not be able to catch because of a broken hand be on the field in critical fourth and two situation is beyond bad coaching. It is coaching malpractice.
  14. Top 15 passer rating and top 5 QBR rating for Allen in the game. NFL average performance. On average NFL QBs have a certain number of bad plays. Allen is held to higher standard than any QB in the NFL by media and fans. He did not have a bad game. Just not a great game.
  15. Sports is a strange business dynamic. Not many of us have jobs where we have 31 competitors and all but one of us is deemed to have failed at the end of the year. It must be stressful. Also most of us don't get paid millions and millions of dollars to help cope with that stress. Retaining management, retaining coaches and retaining players are all decisions equally impactaful as changing management, changing coaches and changing players. People percieve there being different risks by retaining vs changing personnel. In the Bills case one group of fans believes there is a risk of not optimizing Josh Allen's career in Buffalo. A different group of fans believes there is a risk of making mistakes and returning to draught era futility. There are other risks. This poll is asking to identify which of these two particular risks is the bigger risk. The only assumption is that Josh Allen remains a Bill and remains healthy: 1) Not optimizing Josh Allen's career in Buffalo. Not optimizing is different than "wasting". For example, Jim Kelly in a different set of circumstances may have won a super bowl, which is more optimal than only making it to the super bowls. To me, it would be silly though to say Jim Kelly's career was wasted. 2) Returning to draught era futility. This means fielding teams that fans do not expect to be competetive at the beginning of the season, then proven right by the actual season. Please note, both of these risks exist whether we retain or change current coaches, management or players.
  16. Josh gets far more blame than he deserves. He is still the entire reason the Bills are competitive at all.
  17. I agree with this. I don't think T. Pegula does. His opinion matters. Mine does not. I think McDermott will get nine years like Dan Reeves did with John Elway.
  18. Breaking news. Games aren't over at half time. The Bills are last in the NFL in every defensive statistic over the last three games. This includes games against the two worst offensese. You honestly don't understand what you are seeing.
  19. zero chance O'Connell would be that blatant if he was cheating.
  20. seems every team in the NFL runs better screen plays than the Bills
