Defense is bad. The injuries are one of the reasons.

IF you make a change it has to be McDermott or Allen. Its a waste to have a revolvling door of OC's with a QB with Allen's talents. KIncaid had a very good game today. If he continues at the pace, then he is a top 10 Tight End. Potential is not production. One game in seven at an above average production level does not put him their yet.

The injuries in the London game likely impacted today's game. There is a legit question if the NFL with the unequal travel time and temporary artificial surface created a situation where injuries were more likely than should be expected in an NFL game.

Clearly, getting the defense a lead with 2 minutes to go is not adequate, so the strategy needs to be to get the defense a 9 point lead with 2 minutes left, or have the ball at the end of the game each week. This does not seem like a winning formula, but the "fail to shut the door" defense needs that kind of support.

The offense had a rough day, but after 58 minutes had done they job adequately. The defense lost the game.

A good defense would have closed out the game today. Regardless of how we got there. They had a lead with 2 minutes left and the other team 75 yards from the end zone. A bad defense lets the NFL's worst offense score in that situation. The Bills have a bad defense. Whatever the reasons/excuses the simple fact is this defense is bad.

What has he learned?

Most NFL teams would just forfeit rather than coach up the defense to compensate for this problem, against the worst offense in the NFL.

At this point, if the Bills make the Championship game, McDermott should be voted comeback coach of the year.
