Shakir being the best Shakir he can be independent of the total Bills WR picture

Bills will have to make do with who they have. If Beane loves him some Edmunds and/or Oliver then absolutely no money for a rush end. Maybe he uses the 1st on an end while the offense sputters? My prediction is that Frazier/McDermott will be loath to adjust scheme and personnel but ultimately will have to as they are not going to get consistent pressure with the four they're able to field - at least not until Miller comes back 90%.

Then they are not committed.
I too want OL improvement, but I think they can do that without a higher 1st round pick. If they pick OL in the 1st, I'd have it be at their current position and only if there wasn't better value at receiver. Arguably, the Bills' issue will be more is their talent assessment than whether they get linemen in the (example) 1st and 3rd or 2nd and 4th.

If the team is committed to rebuilding the line, I think we need to borrow a first round pick from 2024, and combine it with pick 27 to move up in the draft.
Not for an o-lineman.

Trading draft picks for 30 year old expensive players instead of getting younger and cheaper? No thanks.
-
I probably won't like paying Edmunds at his open market value. However, if he leaves, I see Beane/McDermott drafting his replacement in the 1st or 2nd - thus sidetracking the offensive upgrade.
-
The cap has to force Beane to move on from at least one or two players.

The regular season feels about one game too long.
Two teams per conference should have 1st round playoff byes.
Any insertion of politics makes me tune out.
Sterile, serious, PC culture instead of cheerleaders and Spuds McKenzie. The whole NFL and game coverage is just soooo serious.
Insultingly stupid sideline reporter questions and Chris Collinsworth being a fanboy.
Making the run game obsolete.

Beane prone to trading up for a player only he can love. Hopefully not this year. Time to increase our pool of picks by trading a franchised Oliver.

While thinking about this, not sure if that much would be needed to fix the oline for next year.
LT Dawkins
LG Bates
C Morse
RG Seumalo eagles FA target
RT Move up for Broderick Jones in the first round of the draft.
Perhaps this and a plan for when Morse gets concussed.

I like the mindset of the OP. That really is the level of player we need given the laid-out factors. Add to that Diggs going down for a couple games and having _____________?? as your #1.

I thought Rihanna did OK. Clean look. Show looked well-rehearsed. Besides Prince and Bruce, I've never expected a top-level musical performance. I expect more of a visual show than a memorable musical performance.
Commercials had a bit of the usual "try hard" vibe. Biggest objective there is not to offend anybody. Gone are the days of whimsical humor and pretty women. I miss you Spuds!

I'd improve the OL by two players (leaving Dawkins at LT) to include trading Oliver to get the necessary draft capital.
Last year my tantrum was probably about a 1-tech DT, but signing Jones made me happy.

I can't see taking interior OL in the first. 1st round is for WR, DE, CB where elite speed and twitchy athleticism can best be found. Fine with Rd 2 and after. 1st round also for securing a player on a 5 (vs 4) year rookie contract. That all shifts a bit if there isn't the value in the position when you pick.
For late picks, give me raw athletes and coach them up. No Luke Tenutas.
Also, I'm not impressed by the G/T combo player thing so much. Completely fine with a guy that is strictly a guard/center and knows his role. 6'7" but gets blown up does nothing for me.

Let's get an OL, WR2, and less of the "chuck it" offense. Winning will make Mr. Diggs happy again

It's probably naïve to think McD didn't consult with Allen about who he wanted and Allen himself said he wanted Dorsey so can you really blame him?
Next year McDermott needs to spell a few things out to Dorsey who needs to spell a few things out to Josh. Not the time for hands off coaching and being grab-ass beer buddies. This of course after Beane brings in WR, OL and Pegula tells McDermott to be better at playing the young talent. Now I'm just rambling.

While I know that McD was never leaving as our HC, nor am I calling for it, I still think about the rift between him and McD in the final year.
With Dorsey's alleged struggles, and our inability to find a solid WR2 on the team, the Hodgins thing bothers me more. We weren't so flush with talent that cracking our depth chart was hard. Hell, we brought back Beasley and Smoke. So how did we miss on the opportunity that Hodgins was so badly?
I don't know, maybe I'm just bitter.
Doesn't bother me. If it sheds light on Bills organizational problems then that's useful.

Mine are Locked On Bills with Joe Marino and One Bills Live. I also like Mike Catalano a lot. Also, Arthur Moats has a Bills podcast on YouTube now.
There are also a few very weak podcasts as well, but I won't mention names.Do you have a favorite(s)? Which one(s) and why?Locked on Bills for overall. Cover 1 for more detailed discussions.
I liked Sal but he's become too close to the Bills and no longer can be objective.

The truth rarely lies at the extremes.
Some take great offense at ANY criticism of Josh, Edmunds, coaches, etc. - kind of like a simp defending their expensive OnlyFans girlfriend. Others sit in a perpetual hate pit and want everyone gone - nobody has any redeeming qualities.
With practice, you learn to skip the posts or replies from the chronic offenders.

I believe McDs strategy of rotating defensive linemen is actually part of the problem with the pass rush. The Bills have had a plethora of guys trying to get to the QB over the last five years. The common denominator is that none of them has been allowed to develop a pattern or set anything up because they’re constantly being shuffled in and out. The theory is that they’ll be fresh. That theory has now been proven to have just as much down side as it does ‘advantages’. (And this says nothing about how much draft capital you have to spend to actually get this to work.)
Arguably, you're committing to 8 starting level D linemen to play this rotational scheme while at the same time you only have 4 starting level O linemen.

Hines has 5th round value IMO. Stabilizes the return man position plus he adds big play potential. Can also play real snaps at RB.

McDermott can talk about growth mindset, but it also needs to apply to defensive coaching be that McDermott, Frazier, or both. If Leslie simply said,
"There will be adjustments in our defensive philosophy. We need to be more flexible to counter the offense in front of us on any given play. We recognize that our zone concepts and style of play can be exploited at times - especially if we're being stubborn. The Cincinnati game was a prime example."
That would help my enthusiasm.

Our opinions plus a dollar bill can be traded for four quarters.
If the game were about predicting what the Bills would do, then I think we have enough history to do that reasonably well.
What kind of play do you get the most satisfaction watching?
