You were talking about it as if he was worse last season because they went away from Zeke. Dak was awesome last season and in all likelihood, they will be in the playoff picture again next season largely because of him.
I highly doubt they will be in the playoff picture next year since all of there cap will be tied to Dak, Zeke and Cooper. They don’t have the cap for free agency and probably will barely have enough cap for their rookies in the upcoming draft. And most of Dak’s good games last season were against bad teams and all the games against good teams last season he was mediocre. Dallas has their own version of Kirk cousins. Puts up nice stats but can’t get your team to the next level.

Dak was playing at a near MVP level for most of the season lol. He tailed off a bit down the stretch but he had a top 5-10 QB season this past year. Doesn't necessarily mean he's actually a top 5-10 QB but he proved he can potentially play at that level.
Come on man. This is insanity.
Again what did his near MVP season get him and his team this year? Stats don’t mean ***** if you can’t get your team to the next level. Stats are for losers

I’d take a flyer on him just to get info on the Jets defensive scheme lol

I would say Dak had a better year than Zeke.
But notice when he’s handing the ball off to Zeke more his INT rate is low. This year they had him throwing too much and his INT rate went higher. He threw 11 this year while he usually only throws 4-5 maybe 6 Max the last couple of years. My point is he’s not worth 45 million a year and Jones is a fool to even offer him this type of money. He’s a top 10-15 QB not top 5. Stats don’t mean squat if you can’t even get your team to the playoffs. Also the only reason dak had a better year than zeke is because Garrett stopped running the ball and was relying on Prescott’s arm too much

I think Dak is criminally underrated by casual NFL fans. He was a top 5 QB in 2019. He had an outstanding year.
He went 8-8 and didn’t make the playoffs besides the stats idk how you can say he had a outstanding year. He’s nothing without Elliott

Did any of you who like this watch him last year? He was awful.
But he played very well while under McDermott’s scheme in Carolina. For the price we signed him at it might be a steal for us

Okay, so when has a team franchised a QB and traded him to another team and gotten BETTER for it?
WTF are you talking about .500. Dak is 40-24 as a starter, is that .500? The Tyrod comparison is laughable, HE was a .500 QB. Tyrod threw 14 TD his last season as a starter, Dak threw over twice that last season.
You have embarrassed yourself. The Cowboys made the playoffs twice, and won in the playoffs in 4 seasons and you call it QB purgatory. The Bills went 17 years without a playoff APPEARANCE. THAT'S QB purgatory.
The Redskins let Kirk Cousins go rather than pay him. Lots of folks thought he was overrated. But the Vikings have made the playoffs, won a playoff game, and gone 18-12-1 with Kirk. The Redskins have gone 10-22 since letting Cousins leave. Thank god they aren't paying a QB though, right??
It's like talking to people who haven't watched the NFL at all. Jesus.
Well to be fair Cousins is very overrated in a lot
of ways and is definitely not worth what the Vikings are paying him. Remember there was talk about the Vikings getting rid of him last year due to him being a disappointment in many’s Vikings fans eyes last year. Cousins to me is a stat guy and nothing more. Sure he’ll put up the nice stats and win during the regular season but when it’s playoff time he changes and becomes inconsistent

Let it not be forgotten that Carr was also handsomely paid once upon a time. Its how the market works sometimes. The evil you know is better than the one you dont, and even marginal QBs seem attractive to franchises because it's better than not having one at all...
Yes but now the Raiders are trying to get out of Carr’s contract and are trying to rid him
6 minutes ago, BeastMaster said:With all the attention Dallas garners, Dak is going to be scrutinized even more with a big fat contract.
The fans and media will rip him if they aren't winning, and I would imagine that he'll never live up to the contract and eventually Dallas will move on realizing it was a big mistake.
Rumor is they’re going to tag him and trade him. Read Miami being a suitor for Prescott

We were there when we paid Fitzpatrick and then Tyrod

I hear he wants 45-50 million, he’s in ***** dreamland if he actually thinks he’s worth that much lol.

Correct me if I’m wrong but can’t they sign him after the draft or during training camp?

jags would be dumb to move him now. but i'd take him. we need a second back as bad as the jags do.
The Jags are gonna be in rebuild mode as there talking about trading Foles and keeping Minshew. It makes sense to get rid of him, but I highly doubt it’s gonna be for a 5th round pick, I’m thinking a mid 3rd to high second round is what the Jags would probably want. I don’t want him here, singletary is a much better Runner than Fournette is at this point. Would rather look to the draft since this draft is gonna be RB heavy

He will be 25 years old next season and just put up 1,700 yards in 15 games. How is he aging and trending down?
But out of all those rushing yards he had he only put 3 TDS the entire season. And before that the last 2 years he was horrible
6 hours ago, Doc Brown said:I'd do it for a two year rental player as his compensation is pretty fair with his production. I don't know much about his character though so I'd be careful. He might demand a new contract and sit out.
Exactly he’s not gonna wanna be a two year rotational rental. Wherever he goes he’s gonna make sure the team makes him the featured back and is probably looking for a big contract like Gurley
-
No, absolutely not. Guys injury prone and wasn’t that great last year as he only accumulated a total of 3 rushing TDS last year, in a lot of ways he’s been not a bust but more of a disappointment. I like Singletary and would rather find someone in the draft that’s young and cheap. The RB position is a dime a dozen position.

Ok I thought he was in limbo - maybe there was just talk of him getting replaced with all the better vet options out there
I read some stuff as well, like Philip rivers to Miami cause he moved his family to Florida. Although I think Fitz is better than most of the vet QBs that are either on the block or ones that have been released

Fitz is a FA as of now but i only thought of Miami because they have a lot of cap space and their HC was with Jimmy G in NE
No fitz is still under contact with Miami he signed a 2 year deal

Miami I bet. Jags. Redskins.
30 million is going to be the new average for a starting QB very shortly.
Sounds like Washington’s already giving up on Haskins lol, Miami I can see but I think they’re sticking with the Fitz and Rosen combo and whoever they end up drafting. Jags got too much money tied into Foles
-
So who in their right mind is going to trade for Garoppolo with that bloated contract? Sure there are QB needy teams out there but I can’t see anyone taking in his contract and paying him 30 plus million. He’s not that good he’s a game manager at best

Highly doubtful the panthers are gonna let go of their best offensive player lol good dream though , sounds like madden video game trade

In my opinion, the drought era began in 2002 with Tom Donahoe drafting Mike Williams and Willis McGahee in back to back years in the first round.
I remember being super pumped when Donahoe was brought in from the Steelers. It reminded me of when the Bills landed Chuck Knox, except success never followed with TD.
And he added Tom Mordrak who at the time I was also high on. What a disaster that front office turned out to be. As I remember it, the Bills had gaping holes all over their roster.
Mike Williams was a larger than life personality, and a larger than life bust. Then Donahoe selected Willis McGahee who blew out his knee the year before and we knew in advance he wouldn't be available for at least one year. Not to mention that most draft specialist expected McGahee to be available in the next round.
And if that wasn't enough, in 2004, he traded up into the first round to select J.P. Losman.
Tom Donahoe is the single most responsible person for a nearly 20 year drought.
And if there were a Wall of Shame for the Bills, he would be a first ballot inaugural member.
While I agree with what you have stated, I personally felt that the drought started when we fired Wade Philips, that was start of the downfall. Hiring Greg Williams as our HC was the next mistake and then getting Donahoe to run the front office was the final nail in the coffin. And that led to what we saw for 17 years

I don’t think anyone is going to trade for Glenn and his current contract.

I think neither are leaving New England. I think Brady is just using the threat of leaving as contract leverage. Knowing his play is declining and he won't get many if anymore contracts in the NFL.
Don’t know how true the rumor is, but the Raiders apparently offered him a 2 year 65 million fully guaranteed contract if he goes to Vegas

Both should leave now!!
Every cheating record has now been broken, nothing left to prove.
Fully agree, most of their Super Bowls are bull#### and were from cheating. Don’t like the raiders but that tuck rule was a complete ***** up from the officials. I still feel that Playoff/Super Bowl that year was an inside job from the NFL because of what happened on 9/11. Everyone wanted to be patriotic and wanted the patriots in and nobody including the NFL wanted the Raiders to be in the Super Bowl. I can’t remember who but someone said watch the Raiders get screwed over in this game and they did

I think their Center just retired again and is officially retired. Their o line on paper now isn’t looking good

Yes and then I think BB will sign Brady to the new team he'll be coaching. This way he'll get to keep Brady and stick it to Kraft for overriding him twice.
Lol. I think Belichick wants nothing to do with Brady at this point. Just like he knew Bledsoe was done he knows Brady’s done and he doesn’t want to keep an over 40 year old QB

It’s obviously no secret that Belichick wanted To keep Garoppolo and send off Brady. Obviously we read there was a lot of dysfunction in their front office between Belichick and Kraft due to the Garoppolo trade. I’m wondering if Kraft once again over rules Belichick on Brady that it’ll cause Belichick to leave the Pats. Rumor also has it that Brady and Belichick aren’t getting along that much anymore. Might be one of the reasons why McDaniels hasn’t signed up with any one else. He’s waiting for Belichick to leave
PFF - Jags and Minshew were more efficient on offense than Bills & Allen

It will get better, Josh was playing In his second season in the NFL and improved quite a bit from his rookie season. Things are looking up for us
