The hate for him is unbelievable.
Probably still mad he hasn't thrown a 300 yard game yet.

Is Kroft actually any good?
My prediction for him is he plays like 5 snaps and re injuries his foot and is out again for 4 games.
I guess we will never know.
He caught 7 TDs back in 2017. Seems like a red zone threat. Don’t care though want to see a lot more of Knox.

Tre. He’s going to set a career high in interceptions this year.

I'm not sure. The whole reason why people like Troy Aikmen and I and many others say accuracy can't be taught is because of exactly what we saw Sunday. You can work on stuff and footwork until the cows come home but when under pressure in a real game you fall back to old habits.
The one that concerns me the most was the play where he was not under a ton of pressure but instead of stepping into it like I'm sure he and Jordon Palmer worked really hard in the off season, he falls on old habits and hops off his back foot and lobs it up in the air resulting in an easy pick.
It's like the old Mike Tyson saying "Everybody has a plan until you get hit in the mouth."
Go BILLS !!
You can teach a player to throw the ball away when the pressure is coming. And make sure they throw it ALL the way out of bounds when they do it. Also, you can teach a guy to read defenses and not throw into double coverage. Josh's accuracy this year has improved on short and medium routes. His deep ball is not very good. He's over and underthrown at least 2 TD's that I can think off of the top of my head.

Had such high hopes for the guy. He got better each of his 1st 4 seasons, culminating with his 1st team All-Pro selection in 2014. Then he got paid...

His issues are correctable. But I’m not sure if how he plays is too ingrained in his style now. I hope he can watch film over and over and drill it into his brain to get rid of the ball.

Mahomes is young..........like 23 games? And the Chiefs have never scored less than 26 points in any of them. Just being young is not an excuse for QB's any more.
Ummm look at who Mahomes plays with on offense. So much talent around him its unreal. In Andy Reid's system.

...agree...kid has taken longer than others to round into form....doubt it's a BIG extension, but some decent money......don't see a long line of GM's with checkbooks in hand offering BIG money...probably wrong as usual.....crazy money abound.....
He was also a guy from the Whaley tenure. Probably kept him around cuz they have yet to find anyone better.

He needs to throw to Dawson Knox more and Zay Jones less (preferably because he's on the bench).
Daboll needs to make Knox a bigger part of the game plan. Every game.

We need Josh and Daboll to adjustments what the defense gives them. Go according to that
Yeah, no more taking shots down field to Zay freaking Jones in double coverage.

Singletary would be the best rookie back if he didn't get hurt. Knox might be able to give Hockenson a run for this money if the Bills actually played him and threw him the ball. Oliver is doing a very good job of pushing the pocket. Impressive draft class so far. Hopefully they are able to continue their upward trajectory in the next few seasons.

I don’t mind spending money. In fact, maybe we should personally be far more restrained. But I like to spend wisely, and I’m not sure this would be the case. I won’t HATE it if they go that way, but I have reservations on an older, more expensive and frequently injured guy.
P.S. I bet Tre is not the only guy needing cash coming up. Not just this offseason, but in the coming few years. I’m all for spending someone else’s money, but I want it done wisely. Not just because we have it today.
Sure, they’ll pay Milano a decent contract. But they don’t have to pay a quarterback for another 3 years, if Allen pans out. By then guys that are wastes of money like Star and Murphy will be gone, Jerry too. They should spend smart but they need to grab good players in free agency. Not spend it on guys like Kroft, Murphy, Star.

I’ve got money in the bank. I’m not going out to buy a broken down Ferrari tomorrow. We will hopefully have a lot of quality young guys to sign in the next few years. We are drafting like nobody’s business! Life lesson: never be stupid about money.
The only guy who will command a lot of money in the next couple of years will be White. They need to get weapons. They could sign Green and draft a wideout. Money is not an issue at this point for the Bills.

If Singletary plays I’ll feel a little more confident. This is going to be a grind it out game. I think the Bills D rattles Mariota and the Bills pull out the W.

His offseason should include a TON of watching Russell Wilson film. Live to fight another day.
Or watch Brady film from yesterday...just throw it away when no ones open and the rush is coming. Better a punt than a sack or an interception.

Defense is amazing.
Offense: Josh needs to learn to just throw the ball away. Both tackle spots are an issue. Getting Singletary back will be a boost.
PASS THE BALL TO KNOX MORE.
Special teams is rough. Bojo shouldn't be in the NFL.

It's very disappointing to hear that the coaches drill Allen about making the smart play, and then he turns around and makes a half dozen or more dumb plays in a game.
Can he correct this behavior...sure. Will he...who knows.
PS If this was Peterman instead of Allen at QB for the Bills yesterday, 95% of the posters here would be on standby with torches and pitchforks.
The most frustrating thing about Josh is all his mistakes are correctable. He should go back and watch Bradys film from yesterday. No ones open, rush is closing in, throw the ball into the dirt.

2. Refs - as usual the Pats* had the benefit of the calls. Pass interference was let go, flags were picked up. There were times when the Pats* had penalties and the Bills were also flagged. Each of these times hurt the Bills and helped the Pats*. The helmet hit to JA being the worst. The pick play, and getting away with it, is an example of Patriot influence on the rules. It may be a new rule, but no ref is going is going to overturn a pass interfere call, or non call. It will be a rare event, they don’t want their judgement on penalties questioned.
Eventually we've got to stop blaming the refs. This loss was on Josh and the special teams. Josh making poor decisons. Hauschka missing a field goal 5 yards back because Allen took a sack. Why Bojo is on an NFL roster.

There are just so many receivers in this draft that I don't think that a trade of this magnitude will be necessary. Jmo.
See my post above.....
They'd have to trade up for Lamb. Who, IMO, is the only guy that can give Jeudy a run for the best receiver in the draft. I have a feeling they address the tackle spot in free agency.

Just a cursory initial review of the game tells me that, in addition to poor decision making by Allen, we have serious flaws in our pass protection schemes. The O line looked just as confused as Allen and, again, I have to give credit to Belichick for his designs and to his players for their ability to execute them at such a high level.
We can expect to see much of the same from here on out until we show we can solve it. I’d like to see us break the huddle faster and get to the LOS with at least 15 seconds on the play clock to allow more time for pre snap reads and adjustments. There is also no variation in cadence as well and Allen is too easy to get a jump on as a result.
The tackles looked awful. Wasn't much interior pressure, it was all coming off the edge.

EJ had the worst anticipation ever. Wouldn't throw to a guy until they were open. And he never took shots, always looked tentative out there. If Josh learns to improve his decision making, he's way better than EJ.

I made this account to come over and say two things...
1. Your defense is freaking legit.. you held our offense to almost nothing and got zero support from your offense.. I have not seen Brady that uncomfortable in quite some time.. even when he was not sacked, he felt constant and consistent pressure from your rushers.
2. Josh Allen initiated contact with his helmet whether you want to admit it or not. I hope he passes protocols and comes back with a vengence.. your defense deserves some support... https://t.co/0rc5YkIDs1
Take Care,
DD
Get out of here bro. If a player did that to Brady they would be suspended multiple games. Wouldn't matter if it was Aaron Donald or JJ Watt. They'd be gone.

The thing that stands out the most for me is the lack of talent the Bills have. The Star and Murphy signings were horrible. John Brown is good, but the other receivers leave a lot to be desired. The O line Morse is good the rest of the guys they signed are spot starters at best. They need to take their 70 million in cap space and spend it on bringing real talent in here.
