12/8/24 Game 14 GAMEDAY! Bills vs Rams Game day Thread
Simon replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm doubtful it would have provided any real benefits. Maybe they were hoping he could get back early and in the meantime wanted opponents practicing as if he was going to be on the field? Also, @TNBills mentioned below that if he's on IR he can't practice so that may have factored in as well. -

12/8/24 Game 14 GAMEDAY! Bills vs Rams Game day Thread

Swell. I'm going to double check the functionality of my mute button right now so I don't get caught unawares during the game. Thanks for the heads up. -
It's looking like both Kincaid and Coleman will be out again today...
Simon replied to Doc Brown's topic in The Stadium Wall
If you don't think Josh Allen made a significant and successful effort to improve this year, then I have no idea what you have been watching. Probably because you just posted a bunch of nonsense and hijacked an entire thread that people are trying to look at to learn more about teh status of Kincaid and Coleman. -
I believe it sounds like "seen"

I almost posted a pic of my wife instead

If it was a full yard, you might be right. But it wasn't. If the Bills find themselves in that situation, I hope they go for it to bleed that clock out. And I'll support the call regardless of the result.

It was less than 4th/1; probably measured in inches. Giving Love the ball back with :40 left probably carried just as much risk as trying to pick up a few inches.

I have, which is why I am 100% against people using marijuana until they are well into their 20's and have no history of mood disorders. The book he was citing is a total fraud based on sociology with zero scientific authenticity. 30 year olds are comparing it to the pot they were smoking 30 years before they were born? And how much did they use back then?
-
It's not as crazy of a call as some folks are going to make it out to be. Giving Love the ball back with 40+ seconds left was probably almost equally as risky.

I think maybe he's just a little bound up

This is not the marijuana lobby discrediting him; this is professionals and doctors with far more knowledge than him pointing out how utterly flawed his understanding of statistical studies, causal relationships and science in general is. I don't believe kids should use cannabis until their brains are fully formed in their 20's so more power to you holding them back. But please don't bring fatally flawed misinformation into these forums and pass it off as medical evidence and causal connections because those things are simply not true.

You've been had by a reefer madness knock-off: Berenson's portrayal of scientific and medical evidence has been widely panned as inaccurate and alarmist by scientists and medical experts, who have described his arguments as "based on a deeply inaccurate misreading of science" and an attempt to stir up public fear.[6]: 1 [7]: 1 [8] A group of 100 scholars and clinicians (including academics from Columbia University, Harvard Medical School, and New York University, and care providers including addiction medicine doctors, psychologists, psychiatrists and social workers) published an open letter criticizing Berenson's claim of a scientific link between cannabis use and violence.[3][6]: 1 [4] In particular, they describe his book as highly problematic because Berenson infers causation from correlation, cherry-picks data that fits his narrative, falls victim to selection bias via use of anecdotes to back up his assertions, and attributes the disproportionate rates of arrest of African-American youth[5]: 1 to the alleged violence caused by their cannabis use, despite individuals of all races using cannabis at approximately equal rates.[3]: 1 [12][6]

Enjoy the game, and as always, please keep the Bills commentary in any of the other Bills threads on the board so folks can readily discuss the game in this one. Thanks!

I don't disagree with any of this except for the bolded. And only that because I played organized ball well into my thirties, have had 4 back surgeries and still have pain every single day. And it was still worth it 👍

Diontae Johnson to the Ravens (now claimed by Houston)

That's how. -
Normally I'd be right there with you, but this cover is done by one of my favorite bands; a favorite in part because of their lead vocalist, Rachel Price. Here's a sampler pack, if you're interested:

I didn't realize that, thanks. It strikes me as a solution seeking a problem; a pointless rule that solves nothing and just creates more issues.

Having sore knees that makes stairs tricky is just a bit different from wanting to die because the headaches and confusion won't stop.

At no point are guys willingly going to forego the opportunity to drop the hammer on a QB, nor should they. With Allen in particular there is also the issue of standing straight up to tackle a 6'5 250lb guy with a full head of steam; you're just going to get steamrolled. Not quite as sad as retired players killing themselves because their brains are too scrambled to find the grocery store
