His 10 yard split would probably be why. He makes that hanna barbera spinning feet sound effect when he's trying to accelerate from a stop.
If that sound pops in my head when I see Samuel on Sunday, I am going to cuss you out good.

I love that saying; it totally justifies all my bad intentions.

Is Shavers fast because he doesn’t really look it while running routes. Yeah he had one long TD last year but I don’t see the speed your talking about come gametime
I think he's one of those guys that doesn't necessarily look like he's digging but is somehow still covering a lot of ground when he opens it up, although he's probably slower than some other guys to hit that 5th gear.

Who did you expect?
I'm just a fan on my couch; I'm not tuned into the all the DT rotations in the NFL and study them enough to know who's available for fair value.
But I'd bet my house there were guys available out there that bad teams were willing to negotiate for in consideration for mid round picks.

Samuel runs a 4.31 forty, faster than his rumored to be 4.35 - 4.45 40 time. Elijah 4.35 forty time. Shakir 4.43 forty time.
You forgot Shavers, who is probably faster than anybody in the WR room except Moore.
But it's probably irrelevant because of what you said about the Bills O design and also because of how teams defend Allen.

Again, I’m asking, “which specific move AND at what price would you have done?”
Ed Oliver, a 2nd and a 4th for Quinnen Williams (I know it's probably fraught with issues re: the cap and the division, but it could have helped both teams)

I don't put that much relevancy in pro football focus but they said we had top 6 defensive line going into the season
We lost Oliver but you don't go from sixth to 26th.. we have a good front 4 still... We're like 8th in the NFL in sacks and it's not because coverage sacks typically
I'm not talking about the whole DL, just about how badly the Bills needed to find help at DT today.
And while I like Rousseau and Bosa, there really isn't much behind them either with Hoecht gone.
The Bills have clearly wanted that unit to be the #2 strength of their team for years and needed to do work today to maintain that effort.
Instead, they chose to do nothing about what has always been their top priority.

When we have DaQuan Jones, ogunjobi , walker and Phillips that is not a bad four piece at defensive tackle
I'm sorry, but that is an awful rotation at arguably the most important spot on the chess board, and suggesting that Oliver is going to return from a serious injury and immediately be effective is probably nothing more than whistling past the graveyard.
This team hopefully has another dozen games to play and I don't think there's any way they can make enough plays to win enough of them with that massive, glaring problem right smack dab in the middle of the LOS.
Beane absolutely needed to find at least one and probably two more reliable bodies on the DL this week and he walked away with nothing.
For a guy that I've appreciated having a huge and appropriate amount of respect for the importance of the DL, that was very disappointing.

We still are 4 deep at defensive tackle....
Walker literally tossed Creed Humphrey on Sunday like he's never been
Walker also got put on a dolly a couple times at key moments.
And we are not anywhere near 4 deep at DT.
In fact, the only three guys we have healthy right now are Jordan Phillips, Larry Ogunjobi and an inconsistent rookie(
). That's it.
And they are playing in front of an injured, ineffective LB corps(e).
I don't care about WR, but this is a real problem that could hurt this team badly.

Was the board down for anyone else? I got excited that some big news hit and crashed the board, so raced to check other outlets, but... no.
It's been dragging all day and finally went down around 4:30/5:00

can we discuss thoughts like the fact that the Patriots haven't announced anything yet? and that's surprirsing? or do you just want only trade news/links?
If it's NFL trade related, go for it.
Rehashing anti-Bills crusades, debating Josh Allen and Ohtani, etc don't belong in here.

For those of you that can't stay on topic and insist on repeatedly trying to drive this thread off the rails:
Stop.
Folks are trying to check in here for updates and you're making it harder on them.
STOP.

Maybe one of those firsts was the cost of getting that idiot Mitchell off their roster.

That's a win for the Jets, imo.
Not only will their own pick get them the QB that they want, but those are two more huge puzzle pieces they can use to build around him.
Fortunately it's the Jets, so there's real hope they'll completely foul the whole thing up.

There may be one or two others buried in this thread, but for the most part, even among us McD skeptics, we're in agreement that kicking the FG was the right choice.
fwiw, I don't really think there was really a "wrong" decision in that situation.
They were less like #1, #2, #3 and more like 1a, 1b and 1c, imo.

Yeah, they're 5 deep at CB but now have real needs up front, imo.

I couldn't care less about the outcome of this game or either of these teams, however I'm super annoyed that YouTube and ESPN have not worked out there shiz yet, so I have no way of watching this
You should tell them that you're sorry but you're currently in negotiations with your wife about their bill and you'll resume providing that service as soon as you've reached an agreement.

No Bills talk unless I'm overruled.
From my perspective, the only time we'll light the lamp for Bills talk is if the Chiefs or Ravens are playing in primetime.
There's just too much history (and future) there to try and stifle those kinds of comments/comparisons.

McD is likely trying to convince the kid that football isn’t worth possibly getting paralyzed or worse based on an injury that may heighten the risk of disastrous injury
Maybe football isn't worth the risk.
But is millions of dollars worth it?
That would be an individual's personal choice, but I'd be a yes on that one.

It's almost as if they're load managing Kincaid. Why have him block and get worn down when they have Knox, the Rookie and Gillum?
I bet you that oblique injury is still messing with him a bit also.

Trade Deadline has come and gone

I thought the bigger problem with that play was the stupidity of taking the decision out of Josh Allen's hands while he was clearly on a heater.
If Allen checked into it he was wrong but I don't remember thinking that he did.
I think that was the only moment I got genuinely pissed when they were on offense.
