Exactly... @SDS you wanna change the Wall logo to Statler and Waldorf? Seems more appropriate for the clientele..

Statler: Wake up you old fool. You slept through the show.
Waldorf: Who's a fool? You watched it. 😀

Obviously the biggest question with Claypool is how much will it cost to jettison him if he decides that he does not need to work anymore? His upside is great but he is a guy I want to be sure I can cut bait on easily if it goes poorly.

Well... If we can trade/ cut Diggs. I think we can get rid of Claypool too.

My observation was on the rare occassion Allen actually forced a ball to Diggs, it was because Josh so no one open, and played as if he thought Diggs was his best option.  I would be curious to see videos or photos of plays where Allen obviously passed up an open reciever to throw to a covered Diggs.

My inference which I could have explained better was,  I think Diggs could have been in his head where if his targets/catches were down, Josh was going to hear about it on the sidelines or in the locker room. When Brady came in as OC, definitely better ball distribution.

I think Diggs was a voice in his head that he will not have to deal with this year. Just my opinion.

I mentioned in a post a few weeks back, Josh is the point guard. Let him dish and score when needed.

  3. I think the biggest thing we'll see this year is Josh not forcing the ball to satisfy Diggs.

If you're open, you'll get the ball. Not to compare to Tom Brady, but he didn't give a fudge. If you're open you get it. He made receivers great, not the other way around.

Josh is at that point. Personally...I can't wait to see the distribution between WR, TE, RB & a little RPO.

    Bring it new Bills!

Looking back at this thread I started April 4th...anyone feel differently now that Beane has shown he and the team have a lot of confidence in Shakir given we didn't make a major splash move up in draft and only drafted 1 WR overall?  What about seeing him working out with Moulds again this off-season?

I can't wait to sse this offense on the field personally...

Nope...you're still one of the best posters on this board....

    😍😀

Ive watched Coleman at Michigan and FSU.....

The kid has immeasurable tangibles that fit right in with our roster.......he's big, athletic, his hands are ball magnets, he's physical and can be a mismatch nightmare anywhere on the field.

Don't let the combine fool you.......yes, his 40 time was slow, however, he had the best time in the gauntlet and the pass-arounds from all other WR's there. Think about that, you pancake eating mother-****ers.

    I like the pick.

I can see what our coaching staff is trying to put together here. I didn't see it recently, but i'm seeing the roster they are trying to build and the philosophy behind it.

Regardless of what our armchair GM's on these boards think, it was a good pick.

    I have spoken.

Sorry...coffee came out of my nose when I read ball magnets 😂

    I'll re-read later.

    Go Bills!

@BullBuchanan Answer this question? Does Lindy Ruff make a team worse?

If he improves the Sabres just 3-4 more wins he’ll take the playoffs. I believe he can be that difference. He won’t make them worse.

Is that the bar? Just make the playoffs?

I like Ruff, I just think he had his run here and the Sabres should have tried another tough coach with no ties to Buffalo past.

I voted Front Office but I'd really liked to have been a player but then I don't want to be a physical wreck by age 40.

Those guys really do sacrifice their bodies. Remember Eral Campbell, the Oilers' monster running back? He ran over not around people.

I don't think he was ever seriously injured in his playing days but by age 45 he was a physical wreck. He uses a wheelchair now.

I've always been a Bills fan, but bought a #34 Oilers jersey  because of him as a kid.

He was brutal, humble & awesome!

  8. Kind of crazy how some of us old coots ( poster name play intended 😀) on this board remember a player & name vividly like this guy from 45+ years ago like it was only a few years ago.

    Angel Gabriel now 😔

I don't really worry about all of the measurements when it comes to people making plays. If a guy can shake his defender, and Josh can throw an accurate ball, then the length of a ring finger added to an arm isn't that much of a difference. I think people get too caught up on the measurement of every arm, toe, and eyelash. I don't think that small of a talking point is truly relevant if the guy is a twitchy, solid route runner with excellent hands. I do think our WR situation pushes Shakir to the outside more often than previously seen, but I think this year will be more of a committee than in years before as well.

I understand Davis and Samuel are different people, with different responsibilities. I just think that Brady will be able to utilize Samuel better than anyone else has and that Josh will be the best QB he's ever had slinging him the rock. I think that Samuel will see career highs in this offense if he stays healthy.

I'm still all for drafting two WR's. Legette and Corley. Legette and Walker. Legette and Rice. Legette and McCaffrey. Mitchell and Corley. Mitchell and Walker. Mitchell and Rice. Mitchell and McCaffrey. Franklin and another guy. Worthy and whoever. We just need to make sure JA17 has some quality options at WR outside of the ones we have now.

    In your post you state....

"I think people get too caught up on the measurement of every arm, toe, and eyelash."

    What about the QB "Penix"?

Do you think size matters? 😉😂

Can someone please walk me through this desire to use to high picks on a wide receiver?  We currently have 4 pass catchers we are comfortable with, and opportunities at other positions.  I am fully on board with receiver in the first two rounds, but only the one.  Who is this second receiver going to replace on the field.   1st rounder, Samuel, Shakir, Kincaid, Knox. You could also argue Shorter gets a crack.

I’d much rather see us try to get someone that can push for the FS, RG, HB2, and DL depth than a 6th pass catcher

Let Allen create the next Diva WR, not the other way around.

When OC Brady came in the ball got spread around including RB's and the wins came.

Behind closed doors probably final straw for Diggs.

To anyone who's played basketball on this board, it's no fun playing with a point guard who shoots all the time. Score sometimes yes, but distributing the ball is what makes teams win.

    Josh is our point guard!

Let him distribute & score when needed.

Yeah. But we wouldn’t have landed Josh, who I’d much rather have.

Also, doesn’t mean PM would have been as good as he is in Buffalo.

    Exactly!!

It's like if we could have drsfted Connor McDavid. I don't think he's the same player here with Sabres.
