  1. I feel for Dawkins, I would hate to see my brother in a similar circumstance. In a sense our health care workers face a similar situation, hundreds of thousands of infected people are under their care and they are the bulwark that fights the spread. It is a sad situation at best, when a segment of our society pretends it is a fabrication of the media it only makes everything harder to bring under control.

I Billieve this up coming season is just the beginning of the super bowl window. What Beane and McDermott have done with the rebuild and the change of the culture of this team was done to make the Bills competitive for the long term. I can see it being like when Kelly was QB the road to the super bowl was through Buffalo. Back then there was the core players and when other players left the replacements stepped up. I believe beane recognizes what he needs and has the ability to recognize player's with talent and fit the culture of the team and is able to figure a way to get them. The only unanswered part of this all depends on Allen's development if he continues to improve at the rate he has so far Bills fans are going to enjoy watching the Bills in multiple super bowls.

I have said the same in past threads, they are building to become a long term player in the league , not a short term one or two year window player, they see themselves as another Steelers, Patriots etc, there for the long term perennial post season franchise. The last thing they want is to be a flash in the pan outfit and then fade back into obscurity for another seventeen years.

Inevitable and so predictable someone was going to criticize them.

How about the drama, "But here’s the fine print: They’re not saving their jobs for them." Really?  Are they supposed to guarantee them jobs?

No one should be surprised by this, millions of us are being fired all over the country, with no real way to know if they will be able to find another job for the foreseeable future.

Hard times are NOW, expect soup lines in the not so distant future. I mean look around the markets are down over 30% with no bottom in sight. Unemployment is imo going to hit 25% and higher. This will be like the Great Depression folks.

This is some scary sad stuff going on. We all need to be kind to each other and help each other out best we can.

    Prayers to you all, ?

  4. Neither Winston or Newton are in any way a possible candidate for a BU position in Buffalo regardless of their skill set. To think otherwise would mean that individual doesn’t understand how or why the HC and GM put the team together as they have.

We can't say for sure the  #.

And to me Singletary  is a high end backup  and I've been preaching  all offseason we draft a better RB.

I think you are over playing that statement a bit, DS is a high end RB, if your measure is, is he like backs of old, when they took huge numbers of carries, no, just look at Gurley, he has shot his bolt doing it that way, RBBC is the smartest way to run that room. Another good RB is what is actually needed, if Beane can bring in a better back than DS do be it, we will all be happy,

The sooner you guys realize that it is a real possibility the better. Very sad but true imo.

Nobody knows what will happen at this stage but I'd say its coinflip at best.

God I hope I am wrong.

People need to come to grips with this, yes it is likely there will be no football this upcoming season. I do hope it doesn’t come to that, because that means the sh-t will have hit the fan...

Go Bills!!! , stay healthy Bills Nation!!!  ???

There were great players available when this started but it's just not a priority evidently. There were excellent players available relatively cheap even, Glasgow and Bulaga would have been my targets, they signed for a million more than they gave DT Butler who was average and will only play part time.

I think besides QB the offensive line is the most important group. If there is no push and Josh has little time to throw, which was the case last year, the weapons can only help so much.

I take it you don’t feel they will be any better as a unit after a season of playing together?
I would think just having more experience as a group would increase their capacity for better play, at least that is what is touted by those that are supposed to know these things.

Both of the guard positions could be improved upon, those guys are average at best. The Bills line last year was near the very bottom in power running and stuff rate. That measures the ability to gain a yard when needed and how often runs get stuffed for no gain or a loss. In other run block categories they were average at best.

Also Josh Allen was tied for last in the league in pocket time at 2.3 secs. That is the time from snap til pocket collapses.

Okay, but who’s actually available for the upgrades you would like to see??

I did.  I definitely think Flacco, or a similar type, could easily win a few games with out defense.  Barkley, with his career 6.1 int %, is far less safe of a bet.

I did say there is always the exception to the rule, (you seemed to have missed that). You noting that a vast minority of teams end up in the position of the Saints, merely agrees with what I posted. I took no position on Barkley or Flacco. Only that the vast majority of teams are done if their QB1 is out for an extended period. Your statement in effect reinforces my statement. ?

I don’t disagree.  But he is still better than Barkley.  Barkley has never been good enough to be washed.   Flacco, even last year, had fair superior numbers to anything Barkley has ever done.

    nice guy though.

Saints didn’t get this memo last year.  With our defense, a decent qb could game manage this team to some wins.  Hell, Allen averaged less than 200 yards a game and we won 10 games.

I don’t get why so many people are comfy with have a bad backup qb.

We should pray Allen because as overhyped and mediocre as Newton.

It appears you did not read what I posted...

He's great for the locker room. But suspect in winning games that Josh is out.

As are most every backup QB.
If any teams QB1 is out for more than two or three games the season is in effect over, not always, but for the most part this is the truth.

I didn't open the article (personal PFF boycott), but assume the concluding sentence ends with, "... but the world will never know because their QB is Josh Allen."

I don’t do PFF either, bunch of tools there, top to bottom.

If Josh tightens up his game, along with our total receivers group not trying to lead the league in drops, we will win AFCE Division and go deeper in the playoffs, jmo.

    Go Bills!!!

  13. Strictly choosing BPA is largely a myth, it is BPA at areas of need the vast majority of the time.  Need always comes into play.  An example; the Bills have Morse, JF, long, and Bates who can all play center, so no matter how good a draft option is at center, it is unlikely the Bills or any other team in a similar position would take said player.
Although it is fun to speculate on BPA, it is generally not the rule.

    Go Bills!!!
