So they haven’t figured out how to overcome the long delays between testing and results?  That is all you need to know.

I’m guessing 80% chance there is no season.

I believe you are correct, at the rate infections are growing, and now the death rate is sadly increasing as well, there is little chance that the season will happen, there are a bunch of people who need to wrap their minds around this very real possibility, that and the NFL won’t be the ones making the decision anyways, I do find it odd that some folk really think it’s the NFLs decision, the league is pretending they actually have a voice in this.

So there are if you include practice squad roughly 2000 players, and this is the only one who spills we could be looking at something sweeping like 7 on 7, flag, whatever.  How about maybe he is referring to headsets in all the players, no huddling, long sleeve under armor shirts, face shields, mandatory gloves, and so on.  Someone like Schaffer would announce if things were sweepingly changing.  This is much ado about nothing.

So are you sayin I can stop being afraid about something that I never needed to care about in the first place? Now what am I gonna do with my spare time...

Large corporations (public ones) are held to an even higher standard, which they take great pains (and expense) to adhere to 99.9% of the time.

Now that is one stunningly farcical statement, note how you left out private corporations, now tell us that debt is good... and we should never question authority... nuthin but luv there dude,

Corporations are available to the little guy as well. Some online companies will set one up for as little as $100. Highly recommended if you have a business. I've done it twice.

Due to the Chinese virus and sports, New Era had their back against the wall and did what they had to do.

Leave it to Poloncarz showboating and pandering, he strengthened the message that WNY is hostile to business.  Business: no need to move to, or to stay in WNY.

He was right in the first part of his presser--he should have kept his mouth shut.

    Chinese virus aye...

Even in those states your are referring to, governors are allowing MLB to play. Florida, awash in COVID, is allowing the NBA bubble to go forward. The worst hit states are clearly governed by those least likely to cancel sports.

If sports are a no go, based on we see happening right now, it won’t be governors but the leagues themselves who will decide.

It may be so in the case of states with shoddy governance, such as Florida where the governor just does not care how many people get sick or die from this virus.

Oh and the beer was nice and cold on a hot afternoon, ?

Has any governor in any state stated that any pro teams/leagues cannot play in their states?  They've had plenty of time to comment, as all leagues have been planning to start.  MLB is already training.  NYS has a plan---no fans in the stadium.

    I will rephrase... ?
Right now, on a contingent basis they have permission to proceed with season preparations. But if the public health concerns rise enough the governors that care about peoples health will stop them from continuing, which can include no games played.  With 1in 99 residents of Florida currently being infected, (see what I mean about governors who care) and the southern and western sun belt states closing back down, it’s on shaky ground at best. “Plans” are written in sand on the waters edge at low tide at this point.  As much as it would suck, the pro leagues know full well there is a chance that there will be no season, and that in such case they will not be the decision makers concerning this. Any way, I’m feeling like a beer ? later ?

I am or was on the  board and officer of those companies.  I had to buy D&O insurance which was stupid expensive.  Not only that as on officer of the Company in a regulated industry the burden  you carry is greater than an average employee.  I had to take numerous tests to operate and those tests are basically the Feds way of saying you know the rules and regulations, you have to prove that you followed the rules and since you passed the tests, ignorance of the law is no excuse.  If I dont have physical proof i followed  the law i can be fined big time and even sent to jail, including keeping all relevant correspondences, both electronic and paper for 7 years.

It is like take a Texas Concealed Hand Gun license, you got next to no real rights (not already covered by the Castle Law)   but the incremental legal burden on you is excessive.

Well, it appears that large corporations are not being held to the same rules you are, they just pay a fine and move on doing what they always do. The “little guy” always takes it on the chin it appears.

    Sorry if posted elsewhere.

I was reading another article on how the best thing the NFL had months ago was time. They plodded along pushing forth the draft, keeping things as normal as possible

for as long as they could go. But now time is not really on their side with camp just a few weeks away. They don't seem to have a clear cut policy on what will happens with fans and

of course the lost revenue is going to hurt the pockets.

With the nature of the sport, I am not sure the players will ever agree to anything that. Michael Thomas already tweeted how players would rather sit out..

They have less than 2 months to figure this all out..seems like a tall task. Let's see what the nfl machine comes up with.

The NFL does not have a plan because the states that the teams play in individually control if they play or not, and few to none of those states have a viable plan in place,  This all is contingent on the the virus being brought under control, and it is not even close to being so for the many more months to come. The NFL has no choice but to do what the governors of the states say they can do. The league is not the decision maker on this, they are merely going through the motions putting up a facade of being in control of their destiny on this.

  11. Do realize people, the reason businesses incorporate themselves is to dodge personal responsibility/liability for their actions. Their ability to do so was a back room deal with our elected officials that were supposed to be protecting the citizens interests many many years ago, now the non living entities called businesses have more legal protections than we citizens. That hat company just got over Five million of we tax payers dollars for the sole reason to keep people employed, what’s those lyrics.. ooh ooh, take the money and run...

Dak is so overrated.  Surrounded by elite talent and still can't get it done.  Couldn't even win by far the worst division in the league last year.  Stat monster, but not a winner.  At least Stafford has an excuse for losing.

How does a guy who leads his team to 9-7 and no playoffs get ranked in the top ten? He has been  up and down over the last four years,  like you said, big on personal stats but one playoff win with all that talent doesn’t make a top ten QB. I wonder how much Jurra gave up for that bit of propaganda...
