2-3? Sure. But they lost one of those games because they couldn't cover a freakin' onside kick and ended up losing in the most embarrassing of fashions. None of that loss had to do with Prescott, who had a huge game.

doesn’t matter, He is a member of the team, it’s his loss as well, no excuses for Buffalo when they F up, so none for them...

Wasn’t he a member of the team that lost the game...?

People really think like this? Like if the Bills went 2-3 and Allen was passing for 371 yards per game, you think he was the problem? That’s insane.

Dak is far from a perfect qb but he is right around 10 and hardly the reason Dallas loses (and again his record is 42-27).

I never said he was the problem per say, you are adding on from your own narrative it would appear, Dak is talented, but he and his team fall short frequently,  that and wins are a team stat, you know that, so what ya got next?

so you saying he is not a top 5 QB is your opinion of him. He was putting up MVP numbers before his injury and it was not close.

Prescot in first 5 games before injury here we go.

    Prescot----Comp. 68%  Yards 1856  9 TD

    Mahomes--Comp. 64% Yards 1705  10 TD

    Rodgers ---Comp. 76.9% Yards 1199   15 TD

Prescot was in the conversation near or at top before injury for MVP.  Naming top 5 QB in this league is hard its best done in tiers.  All this info I am giving is subjective and crystal ball stuff right now.. but what Prescot did those first 5 games? crazy

Iirc, Dallas with Dak was 2-3 before he got injured..., individual stats no matter how good mean nothing when the team you’re on  has a losing record, that on top of missing the playoffs altogether the previous season says negative trend. Dak if nothing else has been shown to fall short repeatedly. Frankly as I stated in a previous post, I hope Jurra locks up a ton of cap annually for the next decade in Daks contract, that would be sweet, as it will restrict them from having a really good team.

They have been better with Dak than Romo.... and Dak won more in college than his predecessors too. I think the Dak doesn't win thing is way overblown.

College records don’t count in the league, and was Romo even drafted..,  Dak as athletic and strong a QB as he is, and with the talent he has been surrounded by has come up short repeatedly, even before his injury he was sucking as a team leader this past season, and didn’t even make the playoffs the year before, the kid just seems to lack the elite gene, and it shows. Dak is like other QBs with good stats that don’t get it done for their teams.

  5.  Dak is good, but, he is a stat pader, some folk just don’t understand that it never has made a darned bit of difference how good individual stats are if it doesn’t create a winning team, and Dallas sure as hell is not a winning team, even with Dak the have been also rans for the most part, I sure hope Jurra pays him even higher than PM, and suffers through a decade of mediocrity , that would be nice...

  6. Nice write up, I see your train of thought as being quite reasonable, pass blocking as you said is number one for what they want, and if we can get better on the run side while making upgrades that would be gravy,  but like was said, replacing so much of the O line at once could be problematic, should be exciting and frustrating to watch it all come together.

I would bet it's not the bobble that scared the coaches, it's the short punt after that (less than a minute left in the game) which he couldn't field, but which damned near hit him on the bounce.  This one:

So what this tells you is that the coaches feel that Diggs, Beasley, Brown, and Davis, at whatever % they were playing, gave us a better chance to win than McKenzie playing at whatever % he was playing at.

The Ravens and especially KC DB were playing very physical. McKenzie has struggled to get open against physical DB play (similar to Brown).

Yes coach thought that playing them injured throughout the playoffs was a better option, but there was no back up plan... IMAC and others could have been sprinkled in especially in the the KC game, but as is said about spilt milk...

    Go Bills!!!

Despite what people think, the Bills front office is not trying to make a carbon-copy of the Carolina Panthers.

With our GM and HC both from that organization, there are obviously going to be similarities.  But over the years they have learned what works and what doesn't.  They are clearly trying to do their own thing here.

Josh Allen became a Top 5 quarterback in 2020.  That was the main reason for our success on offense.  If you don't believe he can replicate that going forward, then yeah.. maybe we were playing over our heads.  But personally, I don't see any reason to believe he's going to step back as his career progresses.  I've heard many state that Allen is possibly the most physically gifted QB to ever enter the NFL.  The question was if he could develop that talent, and he's clearly doing that.

On defense, we lack a big-name All-Pro talent on the Front 7.  No disagreements there.  But I would also say that Buffalo's secondary (Tre White, Jordan Poyer, Micah Hyde) has more talent than anything Sean McDermott had on his defense in Carolina.

Very few teams can boast more than 3-4 elite guys on their roster.  The Chiefs are considered the absolute class of the league, and they basically have Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Tyreek Hill and maybe Chris Jones that you can put in that elite category.  The Bucs won the Super Bowl.  Their elite guys are basically Tom Brady, and maybe Mike Evans and Shaq Barrett.  The Bills have Allen, Stephon Diggs and Tre White as elite players.  Like Kansas City and Tampa, we have very few holes, solid/good starters at most positions and strong depth on the sideline.  Bottom line, we really aren't far behind anyone in the NFL in talent.

Yah, but if I believe what your sayin, I won’t be able to spend time this off season being overtly  worried/concerned about the teams personnel decisions,  I’m just gonna say it now,  we’re dooooooomed...

    😁

    Go Bills!!!

  9. In reference to the OPs 38 million in cap space after all the cuts..., this is misleading, in which they will need to sign players that don’t suck to fill the all the holes created, so..., after the holes get filled with players that are as good or better..., how much of that 38 million is left??? Not a hell of a lot I’m guessing... the deal is as it always has been, if you pay peanuts, you get what you paid for... it ain’t so easy to “just” cut a guy and replace him for less money, these guys may be stupid but their agents aren’t, none of this is gonna be on the cheap if we want sustained success.., Beane has his work cut out for him, I believe he is up to the task, but it always takes two to tango...

  10. There was for some reason a fear of showing/admitting that our WRs were banged up, even though all of our opponents knew it, not sure of the logic that SM & BD applied about the WR situation, they weren’t fooling anyone.

I suspect that the coaches involved knew that they did not have a workable “plan B”, which mostly points to poor planning / use / implementation of available resources.

What this says is that “We Don’t Trust You” To the rest of the receivers room, and that certainly is not a good look if you’re the future/current number four and deeper on the depth chart.

One would hope that SM & BD have learned from this misstep, and have a “plan B” available for the upcoming season.  That said, it was a very good season overall for the Bills, and they can certainly hold their heads up high as reigning Division Champions.

Anyways, on to watching the next iteration of the Buffalo Bills form right in front of us, should be fun and frustrating all at the same time 😁👍

Without wanting to derail the thread too much I was an avid pro cycling fan in the 90s and 00s and still enjoy the grand tours but am far less of a fan than I used to be. The cycling authorities have followed a pretty constant pattern when it comes to doping which is make an example of a guy then pretend the rest is okay. It was all okay after 1998 and Festina and there was nothing to see here despite the constant noise about Lance.... and then when it turned out it wasn't well that is just Lance, he is a bad egg, nothing else to see here.... move on. It is a cycle that sadly repeated over and over.

I too followed pro cycling since The Hinault lemond Gitane team era, pro cycling like other sports does themselves no favors when it comes to the PED issue.

WE NEED DL BEEF MORE THAN A PASS RUSH.

Bills were 6th in the NFL on QB Pressures last season.  Out interior DL was pushed around and we frequently lost in the trenches.

Not saying we can’t upgrade the pass rush, but we don’t have a ton of money to spend, and we MUST shore up the interior line with some size or we won’t see much change in our defense next year.

It makes everyone’s jobs easier when you have space eaters taking on multiple blockers.

... won and lost in the trenches...

The dude gives off the biggest Lance Armstrong vibe since Lance Armstrong.

Very true, Armstrong like Watt is/was a dick, and all about the money and fame, and pro PED use, during both of their entire careers. The difference is that the pro cycling world looks at Armstrong as a pariah, even though his competition was doping just as much as he was,  the football world on the other hand loves them some PED users, always has always will.
