The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19
daz28 replied to Hedge's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
He said good hand washing, distancing, and masks. How does that cause damage. Serious question, why does the workplace not want you to come to work when you're sick? It's so you don't infect the whole workplace. It's called mitigation, and people have been doing it for a long time. -

I 100% agree with this, but people expect a magic pill to solve all their problems. The Spanish flu got eradicated. -

I want them to take the time to do it properly. I'll maintain other measures until I feel it's safe I googled zinc Coronavirus and got 25 million results, so it's not like anyone's hiding it, but I agree they could promote it more. Unlike drugs like hydroxy it really can't hurt you -

So you're saying that entering a room that a person with the flu is in gives me the same chance of getting sick as if they coughed and sneezed directly on my face? -

I agree. The vaccine has become politicized and economized. Now when it comes time to get it, no one will trust it. Brilliant. I know I won't be the first one to take it. -

That is a personal choice. In America were allowed to give ourselves chronic inflammation. On the other hand negligence is criminal. Btw, I have a health care background, and have taken classes/labs. -

Neat. Just in time for the opening bell on Friday after Trump said he would make Republicans vote for a big stimulus. -

It's important to remember that the 1918 flu mutated from one in March that made you feel like regular flu to one that killed you within 24 hours after your first sneeze by September. Soldiers returning home spread it globally. That's why we have to remain wary(or panicky as you call it) -

Nice bait n switch. You said I shouldn't panic, because it's bad for me. I said I'd take precautions. Again how are statistics "nonsense". I can't protect myself from other peoples negligence any more than I can stop a car from hitting me. Obesity is in the Constitution, so that's their right. Not wearing a mask isn't -

Do you have any suggestions how hospitals could/should be more ready? We can't just create more qualified health care professionals like we could say build more beds. The media might, but the virus is evolving, too. We must remain vigilant -

If by panic you mean take precautions, then they actually are good for your health, and I surely will -

No people criticized him for not sharing the severity of the situation with them so they could properly care for themselves and their loved ones. At the current rate over 400,000-450,000 people will die from this in one year. In 1 year close to the same amount of people who died in combat during WW2 and both sides of the Civil War over those 8 years will die. Roughly 1 in 5 deaths will be from Covid. I have no idea how or why anyone would want to downplay these numbers. As for hospitals, last year 47 hospitals were closed, and it's not like we have doctors, nurses, equipment, and facilities all on the bench waiting for a pandemic. -
Someone please explain to the dimwits who don't understand that the mask doesn't stop you from GETTING Covid, but lessens droplet transmission. That includes all the people who have been spreading Trump's 85% of mask wearing people getting it.

If you don't think that it's 100% BS that a genius who is too legally blind to recognize a person's face, who is filling out paperwork before he works on computer mainboards then God help you. Bless your little heart. It's like saying Helen Keller was a terrific speed reader. -

Have you seen any holes a speed back would have taken advantage of? He pretended he was winded Taron did show some juice early that made me think he might grow. He's either been injured or inconsistent. Seems to me like Siran has been very overlooked. Maybe it's just me. -

You could get embarrassed by many teams and be 7-9 with this defense. 4-1 isn't time to panic, but it is when the offense is so good. Bad D will horribly taint, and make the offense as predictable as it is. That O/D balance is massive. Good offenses will never bail you out -

I really dont think we plan to run any kind of conventional run game. The way the o-line pass blocks i'm ok with that -

The coaches may have to rethink the ENTIRE defense and running game. Pass blocking, and Josh's awareness of it 11/10 -
That's what we pay JH to do. Speed rush n dream you're getting home. I just dont see ANY edge rusher in Ed

Were you a little mad that jam middle was our play every call, because we can't stop anything, or were you madder when they realized that, and made the rollout pass our B word? -

Exactly. The versatility dictates the move. So would the money. If you move Edmunds and draft a MLB, that clears a major hurdle. Edmunds still makes calls rookie MLB balls out. Edmunds contract will be wayy cheaper after the switch. Rookie MLB don't ball out, you still have an Edmunds. Rookie MLB learns from Edmunds, and leaves us options if Edmunds gets expensive. If we don't re-sign Milano, this would be the plan I think -
I haven't soured on edmunds, cuz the whole D sucks. I think he's to stiff, too lite, and underpowered to rush outside
