I am a father and agree with him (Astro). Of course I will never want this to happen to anybody! Some of you guys (LA, etc...) should save all the drama. You have to live in the present and not stay attached. Attachment is nothing but misery at times and yours and others stance on this is adding to the misery.
I actually commend the victim for not being attached to her body and letting that attachment become all consuming and overwhelming. That is a very hard thing to do considering how heinous the act was. She has obviuosly had some real good spiritual help!
I'm sorry, but forgiveness and letting go of the past - no matter how valuable to a victim - cannot pardon criminal offenses. Modern civilization is sort of based on this precept. The same idea applies to making good movies....a worthwhile endeavor, but it can't absolve you of your crimes. You don't even have to be a father or a sanctimonious man to chastise Polanski and those defending him...just have a !@#$ing brain.

I don't think WisconsinBillzFan would be to happy with his junk touching a lesser colored person. It's like a sin or something
His boys over at http://www.stormfront.org/forum/ would never forgive him for such an egregious transgression.

Small government works also. Just look at Somolia.
So an anarchist state is equivalent to any small government system to you?

How do you mistake a gun for a taser?

Mike Freeman of CBS is saying that the owner's are going to decide to move the Jags to most likely L.A in 2 or 3 years. Of course its not for sure, but I can definitely see that it could be true after going to the Bills v. Jags last year. No fan support and a badly located stadium.
One of the fans dint know who Paul Posluszny was, I know because I was wearing Poz's jersey. Said he never heard of him.
I think this bodes well for our future in Buffalo. Thoughts????
How are the owners going to do that? It's up to Wayne Weaver if he wants to sell the team. And as far as I've heard, he has no plans to do so.

Those that don't care about the sport don't pay attention to its growth anyway. The fact of the matter is that it's significantly more popular in the states now than it was in '94, and there are many indicators of that.
I agree with you. And so does this guy:
-
Important question: will the Raiders be playing in the new 49ers stadium? I was kind of hoping they'd be the team to move to LA (and Jacksonville to Toronto). I don't see the Rams or Vikings moving, and Beerball's post above me suggests that the Chargers will be staying in SD. Yes...rooting for team relocation is a terrible thing, but my priority is first and foremost seeing the Bills stay in Buffalo.
-
Half of the hits to Randy Constan's web site (the Peter Pan guy) come from Buffalonians. Do you think this factored into our poor ranking?
-
But I get what the Beerball was saying. In the round robin, no OT or kicks, then the knockout stage comes and the rules change. I am with Beer and find that weird, but guess it is more like hockey regular season and playoffs, only somehat in reverse.
And, BTW, i hate a skills challenge in any sport to determine the winner of a team game. Can you imagine baseball having a home run derby to end games or football having a field goal kicking contest to win games???
I could not agree any more with this statement! In hockey, OT should be 4 on 4 until someone scores. In soccer, it should be 10 on 10 and then gradually proceed down to maybe 9 on 9 or 8 on 8.
-
Gotta love our bracket (world rankings in parentheses):
[uSA (14), Uruguay (16), Ghana (32), South Korea (47)]
versus
[Germany (6), Argentina (7), England (8), Mexico (17)]
And then you've got to figure that all of the top 5 make it in the other two brackets: Spain, Brazil, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal (although Spain and Italy are more or less in a must-win situation for their game 3's).
Nevertheless, I'm really worried about Ghana. A good team, but mostly because you figure the FIFA refs will continue to do everything in their power to !@#$ over the USA and keep what will likely be the only African team still going...

Isn't this job more suitable for the Flying Spaghetti Monster? He has the long appendages to reach the bottom, and since they're noodly, each can expand enough from the gulf water to fill the hole.
-
Don't count France out. They may not have a coach but you never know. Scandal seems to draw these teams closer together.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the only way for France to advance is to:
1. beat South Africa
2. have Mexico beat Uruguay
3. overcome a 5-goal +/- goal differential with Uruguay
The first 2 are very possible, but the 3rd makes it next to impossible for a tournament comeback.
-
it's not thrilling. it's not. interesting, yes, but nothing really thrills me about soccer. not like watching a baseball or football game. that being said, I am watching the tournament as much as possible.
@ stickball fans criticizing soccer for not being thrilling. I've seen it all on this message board...
Getting back to World Cup talk, it's interesting to see the 5 countries with the 5 best soccer leagues and 5 of the top 10 ranked teams in the world struggling early: Spain, England, Italy, Germany, France. While I think Germany, Italy, and Spain will get their act together and do enough to make the knockout round, England may be in genuine trouble and France is effectively done. With all the upsets so far, there are fewer and fewer teams now where I look at a potential matchup with the US and think the US has little/no chance.
-
So help me out here. We're excited about a 2-2 tie, does that mean we advance? or do we still need help from other teams?
We're guaranteed to advance as long as we beat Algeria by at least 2 goals. Otherwise, we will need help from the England-Algeria and England-Slovenia games.

I'd say the SJ metro area is much larger given all the lager cities around it.

Look at #13 and #31.

Sorry, but we don't have the pass rushers to elevate this D to anything above mediocre. Schobel's gone, Kelsay is Kelsay, and Maybin and Ellis look to be busts. The rest of the guys on the squad aren't capable of anything more than 2-3 sacks a season. Maybe this Antonio Coleman character can live up to his internet message board hype? The problem, of course, is that NFL teams don't ever let quality pass rushers go, so you really need to draft your own to compete. Unfortunately, the Bills aren't very good at that.
-
Now that it looks like it's over, you can look at the stats & compare the teams all you want, but
Phil Hansen > Aaron Schobel
One less loser from the disgraceful 2003 team. It may have only been his 2nd year in the league, but he is still tainted.
Happy trails, Aaron.
2003 was Schobel's 3rd year, actually.

I betcha that if the stadium is ever built they will still be the SF 49ers...unless SC ponies up some $$$ to get them to make the switch. Face it, SC may have the population but SF has the prestige, the glitz, the history, the Chef....(I could go on, but we'll stop with Chef Jim).
How does Santa Clara have the population? San Francisco is a much bigger city.
-
Not sure if he has or will ever have the pass rushing skills to be a 3-4 OLB. His destiny as a Bill is probably an ILB on passing downs, special teamer, and emergency OLB.

I don't see why people have a problem with her getting charged with adultery. After all, marriage is a legal union which stipulates both partners being faithful. I don't think that infidelity should go without legal consequences (though adultery is rarely so easy to prove as this).
EDIT: In Michigan, they can put you away for life.
http://web.archive.org/web/20070206173058/...COL04/701150333
And therein lies the problem. As long as we let the government continue to have a say on such personal matters as marriage, we shouldn't be too surprised when they enforce BS archaic laws like adultery.
But to get back on topic so this doesn't go to PPP, yes she's a hot cougar and yes I'd do her on a picnic table. But definitely not in public, and definitely not without a condom or two or three.

FB (1) - McIntyre

Buffalo was recommended because of its strong support for the AAFC Bills in the late 1940's.
The city of Buffalo began declining in population after the opening of the St. Lawrence Seaway in 1959. By 1970, the Sabres and Braves arrived and the NFL-AFL merger began pro football's rapid ascent to the pinnacle of the sports world.
So I'd say that Buffalo had about a 15 year window (1961-1976) before the NFL became too big and Buffalo too small to ever win back a pro football team. Minneapolis, Atlanta, New Orleans, Miami, Cincinnati, Tampa Bay, and Seattle won expansion teams during that time span. No other NFL expansion occurred between 1976-1994, and by the mid-1990's Buffalo was in far too bad of shape. If you think Buffalo could have beat out any one of the 7 aforementioned franchise cities, then you have your answer.

I imagine Ellison will be on his way out. In any other scenario it would prob be Mitchell, but we need a guy w/ Mitchell's size on the roster.
That being said, I don't understand this sentence:
I understand Davis is the guy calling the plays and thus is seen as the most likely to start. But Poz is far and away the better player and he too is adept at play calling. Davis might just be calling the plays at the moment bc he is the only guy who has previously played in the 3-4. Regardless, there is no way Poz is out of the starting lineup. 0 chance. Mitchell's best shot is taking out Davis.
More likely Kelsay on the OLB spot.
-
3-4 defenses usually keep around 8 LBs and 6 DL.
Actually, I think 3-4 defenses usually keep 7 DL and 9 LB (4 DE, 3 NT, 4 ILB, 5 OLB).
The DL is set (Stroud, Edwards, Johnson, Carrington, Williams, Troup, Harvey).
The 4 ILB's will probably be Posluszny, Mitchell, Davis, and Moats.
The Schobel situation makes predicting the OLB's more difficult. The 1st spot goes to either Schobel or Kelsay. Maybin is a definite, Torbor and Batten are probable, and the 5th spot should be a toss-up between Ellis, Harris, and Coleman.
I wouldn't expect to hear anything from Schobel until the start of mandatory training camp. The dude is obviously using all the time he can to decide on his future pro career.
