  1. Take it easy there, Officer Mike of the PC Patrol. Funny or not, it was just a joke.

Actually, I agree with the original poster on every single one of his points. Kordell is the ideal backup QB for this Bills team. This is just my opinion - and I KNOW I will be flamed for this - but I'd rather have Kordell starting than Drew! At least Kordell can scramble behind this porous OL and he's proven to be able to play at a Pro-Bowl level under MM's offensive system (only 2 years ago).

The big question is whether or not he's likely to be cut. Unfortunately, I think there's little chance he will.

  2. First of all, I feel terrible for Travis Brown the person, a good guy whose NFL aspirations may now be over for good.

But speaking as a bottom-line Bills fan, let's face it - he is not a capable NFL backup QB. We knew this by the end of last year and were only kidding ourselves thinking that he was going to be a good QB right after Volek and Thtewart gave us the cold shoulder.

Now TD can go out and get a REAL backup QB. At this moment Chris Redman is our best option, but fear not - many more QB's will be available in the next 2 weeks.

As for the salary cap space to afford this backup QB, we have $1 million now and can easily add up to a couple more if we cut various dead wood like Prioleau and Gildon.

    Peace.

  3. I agree with Phil. Our K, QB, and OL situations are flat out scary and could easily cost us 10 games this season. What a shame considering how talented the rest of this team is and how big of an upgrade the new coaching staff will probably be.

When TD gets fired no later than 2 seasons from now, we will look back at his demise and clearly see where he went wrong:

    1. Hiring GW (obvious)

    2. Trading for Bledsoe (aside from boosting ticket sales and his first 8 games as a Bill, have we benefited at ALL by having him???)

    3. Lack of respect for the offensive line positions (especially the interior...you can't just take any random tackle and make him a solid NFL guard/center)

    4. Lack of respect for the kicking game (there are the occasional moments in an NFL GM's tenure where he needs to just open up the checkbook and overpay...Hollis didn't have the most powerful leg in football, but at least you didn't have to hold your breath whenever he made a kick of less than 45yds)

  4. Here's my prediction:

    P/K Mike Shafer

    WR Jerel Myers

    WR Kevin Beard

    TE Rod Trafford

    G Richard Seals

    T David Porter

    T Jasen Esposito

    DE Constantin Ritzmann

    MLB Daryl Towns

    CB Johnny Lamar

    CB Gerald Dixon

    CB Lawrence Richardson

    SS Mark Graham

    What's yours, pal?

  5. Wow! That is some astounding insight into JP's NFL prospects, Kevin!

You have thoroughly convinced me and the rest of the TBD folk - with nothing more than a single sentence - that JP Losman is destined for a tragic career of chronic injury and poor focus.

I'm trying to counter your argument that JP does indeed = RJ, but I can't! I mean, he DID get injured. And he HAS screwed up plays in the preseason practices...
