  1. Oh I agree! Could you imagine this place if Bills lost at home to Pats in week 1? To be fair Burrow has been injured for several games of those four years. Their D is terrible. Bills should be able to score at will and if they can play a deep shell keep their WR group in check. Bills D is better suited to stop Cinci than Chargers or Ravens.
  2. I think what they said was to build a team that was competitive for the long term. They have clearly failed at getting better every year becuase they have regressed ever since the 13 second game. I can't think of any team in the NFL that has a HOF level QB that has ever gone into full rebuild mode. Even those on here that are the most anti-McDermott posters would say this was a reload. KC, SanFan, and Detroit will tell us if this team is truly a contender or not. They will have the division won by Dec 14th. Then it's is just stay healthy for the playoffs.
  3. They are 4-5 and still play Steelers twice so a bit of their destiny is in their hands. They have winnable games against Browns, Dallas, and Titans as well. They play Chargers soon which that head to head game might determine who gets last WC spot. Right now they are on outside looking in, but still have a decent chance to make it.
  4. It's obviously not a sure win. A made FG by Buffalo is a loss either way. If they make the 2 pt conversion then a missed FG means a win not just OT. I think the best argument for kicking the XP is then it makes Buffalo decide how aggressive to be - play for win or for OT.
  5. I agree. It's not like he has proven to be a good GM either. I'd be surprised if he coaches again. He likely is only going somewhere with an established QB. Who is going to have a need for a new HC that has an established QB? I can only think of Dallas off the top of my head, and I can't see Jerry and Bill getting along.
  6. I don't know. I don't know why you would want to keep Tua in the pocket. He's only 6'1" so I would think you would want to rush him up the middle. I dont think of Tua as a great passer out of the pocket. Which to me means a spin move back to in between the tackle and guard might be wise. But as you said the ball was coming out super quick so it's unrealistic to think we were going to get several pressures/sacks.
  7. Would love to see that but creativity and McDermott are not usually used in the same sentence. Right or wrong McD has a philosophy and he sticks with it. He is not afraid to dial up a few wrinkles occasionally. He will blitz the linebackers and a few times a year he will send Johnson on a blitz. I actually would like to see Bishop get some snaps at safety in the box. 4-3 sounds intriguing but how do you take Taron off the field??? He's playing at an All-Pro level and is the second best player on the team.
  8. I agree but I don't expect a blow out. How many people predicted Miami would be a multiple TD win? Just win and stay as healthy as possible
  9. I will give you this. Winning football in the second half is a sign of mental toughness. That seems to be something they are getting better at. Winning close games is also good experience to learn from. Young players playing in tight games is also good experience.
  10. Agree. If he scores there they are more likely to pass more and that exposes Tua. Yes 97 yard drive to take 10-3 lead.
  11. Another team with their season on the line that will give us their best shot. Flacco still has a cannon but is a statue. Should be able to get him on the ground. I think the Bills will be more stout against the run and probably play Rapp closer to LOS. This would be a nice week to see some creative safety or CB blitzes off the edge.
  12. That's awesome! To lose an entire decade and now almost be caught up! Agree the playoff wins are even worth more. Isn't the one playoff loss the Moulds 240 yard game?
  13. Not sure what your point is. Josh is just as good as Mahomes and Brady. For two years all we heard was get KC at home in the playoffs. Well another failure. The team has underperformed in the playoffs ever since Josh walked off the field with the lead and 13 seconds left in the game. Entire team didn't show up for Bengals. They struggled with Miami and Pittsburgh at home. They lost to KC in a game that was not as close as the final score. McDermott defenders will say Hamlin injury or LB injuries are the reason they lost. It's really pointless to argue anymore. We are stuck with McDermott. Our only hope is Allen has the ball with no time left on the clock.
  14. Appreciate and respect the OP but what game was he watching? Hard nosed defense? Miami ran all over the Bills most of the game. Taron made a magnificent play. Bills D took advantage of a bobbled snap. Otherwise they rarely stopped the Dolphins. The defense gave up two fourth quarter leads again. Honestly it was a dumb decision by Miami to not go for two that probably would have won the game. Josh was amazing most of the game and he bailed out McD and the defense again. Even with that it took a dumb penalty by Poyer to put them in position to win. If Bills are forced to punt, Miami wins that game even before OT.
  15. It's honestly impossible to find any reasonable explanation for either flag. For a brief moment it looks like Torrence might be holding the defenders arm but that is not the case. The defender just has his arm inside Torrence's arm and Torrence makes no attempt to hold it or to prevent the defender from disengaging. It's just a terrible terrible call taking away one of the great plays of the entire season to date. Can't believe the NFL as an entertainment product doesn't intervene. They need the replay assist for all plays to intervene on plays like this where the ref clearly saw something that did not happen.
  16. Did we play the Colts already and I missed it?
  17. You have the wrong year. That was 2018 when they ate all the salary cap and had 5 WRs on the roster that none of which belonged in the NFL. The oline was comically bad.
  18. Worst call against the Bills I've seen in a long time. Perfect pass blocking technique. Feel bad for Torrence as he has struggled this year but that was textbook perfect.
  19. 2017 Bills roster was far better than Saints current roster. Now Bills 2018 roster was absolute garbage.
  20. LOL! You think McDermott could win five games with their roster?
  21. He has three sacks yesterday. I'd give up two first rounders for him. Realistically those are going to be 30-32 the next two years anyways. Think of the last three first rounders. None of them are even close to what Myles would bring. Garrett would be way better over the next five years than a 4th string CB, an ok TE, and WR that drops a TD pass into the arms of the DB.
  22. He was looking decent with a few spin moves before the suspension. Yesterday was one bull rush after another. He forced Tua to run up the middle once. Very disappointing. But who are you going to give his reps to? There is no one on the team that can rush the passer outside of Rousseau.
  23. Yup. He's almost at the level of healthy scratch. If Solomon was better all around DE, AJE would be last guy in the rotation. Toohill and Smoot are already ahead of him in the rotation. Terrible decision to bring him back by Beane. Please go get ZaDarius Smith
  24. Yes but it's well known he was hurt in camp Wow. I didn't see that on TV. That makes Elam's day even better.
