How confident are you going into tonight's game?
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Are the Bills more talented? Even if so it is not by much. Rams are very good and have best defensive player in the NFL. Bills are missing Tre. That said I think this offense is going to be special. Bills 38 Rams 31 Please no repeat stinker like last year on national television. -
Guess the first offensive play: run or pass?

Screen pass to Singletary -
First nobody really knows how good or bad Daboll was. Second we know absolutely nothing about Dorsey. Third we have Josh Allen, which makes whoever is calling plays look good. Daboll didn't get beat blocking on 4th and 1 at Tenn and he didn't give up a FG with 13 seconds left. I think the Bills offense will be just fine if the oline stays healthy. Im more worried about that #1 defense facing real QBs this season.

Bills and trademarking “Bills Mafia”
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Steel City Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall
I know I'm in the minority but I really don't like the Bills Mafia name. I don't have a different suggestion, but not sure why we can't just be referred to as Bills fanbase. Hate hate the jumping /crashing tables nonsense too. -
Zach Wilson out until at least week 4
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Greg S's topic in The Stadium Wall
And the literature - surgery vs no surgery shows no difference in outcomes at least for the general public. In NBA seems pretty routine to get surgery but lots more jumping there obviously. A bit more variable in NFL it seems. -

Really??? Even Nathan Peterman thinks its silly for the Bills message board to call out other teams difficultly finding a franchise QB. -
Good DTs are incredibly hard to find despite a bunch being drafted in the early rounds. A middle linebacker can be replaced with a rookie without missing a step or they can go with a reasonably priced veteran for a year or two. Bills already did it once when they drafted Edmunds and he started day 1. Makes no sense to commit big money to Edmunds.

I disagree with you but kudos to posting a contrarian viewpoint. Nothing wrong with that and Bills history for TE development certainly is awful. I think Knox is the most physically gifted TE Bills have ever had and I've been a proponent of him since his mid rookie year. I think your logic is a bit flawed in terms of it being a decision between Knox and Davis. If you are thinking about money spent on offense the next decision might be Singletary or Davis. And if Davis has a breakout year that is a no brainer.

One ping only Vasili. One ping only please. -
100% agree. The whole line with the exception of Morse played poorly for the first 3/4ths of the season. Dawkins' turnaround was remarkable. Moving Williams to guard and playing Brown even with his uneven play was a big upgrade and then of course Bates played well. Lots of question marks this year but on paper they should be a better unit to start 2022 than they were to start 2021.

Is Allen routinely fooled by pre-snap disguises?
Ethan in Cleveland replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Thats probably true. Honestly I'd be fine if he threw a few more 50/50 balls. Diggs and Davis fight for the ball well even though they don't have elite size. They position themselves well and of course there is a chance to draw a PI. -
Uber from the stadium recommendations

Uber to the MetLife in NJ from NYC was super easy. Getting back to NYC from Giants stadium was a nightmare. -

Ethan in Cleveland replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think it depends on the throw. I've posted this before but I think Allen may be the best QB in history throwing the deep out, curl, or crossing pattern. I can't think of another QB better at throwing to a spot 15-25 yards dowfield. I think other QBs have better touch on the deep seam and fly routes. Its a tic tac critique but Allen still throws those balls too flat instead of putting the proverbial "air under the ball". -

I think there is something to that. Bills played in really bad weather especially at home. Rain and wind was terrible last season. -
My guess is the optimal win formula is for the QB to pass for250-275 and your RBs to combine for 125-150. That said, to win consistently in modern NFL you need a QB and an offense that is capable of putting up 400 pass yards when needed OR a legendary defense. Bills have the QB. Lets hope Dorsey is a capable OC and the defensive front 7 is better.

The only criticism I have of Allen's game is his deep ball accuracy. He is much improved but he still has a tendency to overthrow open guys. I don't recall many passes that were too far inside or outside. I also don't recall thinking once last year that Allen was fooled on any play. He had some poor throws as all QBs do. But as far as being fooled by coverage I don't see it.
