Lost in the mayhem of disappointment was the fact that White had a really bad day in coverage. That is uncharacteristic, but happens to the best of them.

mmmmmmm......athlete yes...football player--yet to be determined
Fair assessment, but I can see him getting better game after game with NFL-level coaching, and McD confirmed he was gimpy by the half. He has been taking too many shots - I actually think he takes less when he runs, but you have to build an offense that can pass from the pocket.
Also does not help when you are down to your last running back who is the size of a smurf.

Im sorry but it’s true.
he learns nothing and does not grow by running. He simply avoids the type of the plays that QBs need to learn how to make at the highest level.
Maybe several more L’s will make you see it.
Usually absolutes are not true - he needs to learn from throwing from the pocket, but staying in the pocket is not an option more often than not. Sure there were times protection held up, but that is by far not the norm. You cannot watch Josh and not say that he is learning. OBD has to fix his protection, give him some more weapons, and then he will learn more.

McDermitt pissed with the Special Teams... Crossman is going to get the same talk KB got.

Oh well, hope the better players get healthy. OK that came out wrong - hope all our injured players get better.
I thought the Jets were hungrier after they got spanked. Darnold is a more polished passer than Josh, but that was not unexpected with the coaching he had in college. I still like our kid's ceiling, but he needs to be able to feel like he can stand in the pocket without getting crushed.
Special Teams was abysmal, and our defense seems to fold more often than not when the pressure is on.
The Bills were playing with their 3rd and 4th string players and made a game of it without a single power runner left on the roster. Changes are a'coming this offseason. Expect an infusion of talent - some jettisoning of coaching staff.
This should be a fun rivalry to watch develop over the years.
Did Bowles save his job today?

ST's had us starting with bad field position all day.

Edmunds whiffed
Yep - he misses his gaps still. Will get better.

For what this game was actually worth for this team's record - the loss of the many players sucks for naught.

Pro move
Yep... if that was one of our receivers we would be back-slapping, and hand slapping. It was solid, and White has been tested today.

We have some slow blinkers on D. What the heck was Reggie Bush doing pulling their RB over the sticks instead of pushing?
It is less important to get the runner on the ground than it is to stop his forward progress - sheesh

Murphy looks like his spandex underwear is a bit too tight when he is running. Damn he is slow - needs to stretch more or something?

Maybe Hauch does not have the leg after all... you usually squib like that if your kicker lacks the leg to get it into the end zone.

Nice Josh... he has it. Will take time - keep the faith!

Is Ivory done?
If so, that really limits the options on short yardage
-
the way they have been hitting folks late and such... Karma kicking in.

We had a fast start and lost a ton of players... it changes how you play. We already know that our o-line blows... let's keep this in perspective folks. Josh needs to get out of this game alive and learn from the mistakes - that is pretty much it.
That being said, the Jests are really the biggest cheap-shot artist I have seen in a while in the NFL...
-
rookie bad call from our head coach - so you think he asked Crossman, "hey Danny, is our kicker good to go?" then got the thumbs up?
-
Why is he not letting that bounce into the end zone? I have been a bit slow to blame ST play, but they are truly poorly coached.

What exactly is the defensive game plan for the Bills today? Rush 4 and make it as simple as possible for Darnold?
Was wondering the same thing - you have the Jest blitzing to throw Allen off of any timing. It is the oldest playbook out there for playing against rookie QBs... someone lost contain out there on the rollout.
Props to Darnold for salvaging a rough start to his game.

was this on the Buffalo CBS station, or another area?
Watching from the midwest...maybe they are smart enough not to show it anywhere near b-low

Don't run at Shaq... wait for Murphy before you test that gap.

What the ... fanduel commercial with Vontae? Making a check talking about the merits of quitting on your team.

Letting these guys getting into a rhythm.

I don't get the Murphy love... just feel like he has been a liability out there this year.

Bad because of the timing and situation. 3rd and long and the team needed the stop and he did not get it done, beat by his man in the end zone after the Darnold scramble, gave up another long gainer I think in the 1st half. Just not a great day for our lock-down corner. He'll bounce back.
I think they missed Taron J. out there today, saw Bush singled up a few times - usually a couple steps behind the receiver.
This team is pretty banged up.
