WTF happened to this thread? From an OP talking about teammates saying good things about Josh Allen to the triggering. Everyone is so programmed by MSM and social media to REACT to labels. Both sides, divided over what? Our handlers want us divided, its like someone blew a dog whistle in this thread and everyone reacted just like they were trained, like pavlov's puppy. So we know what we have in Zay, a not quite 50% catcher and someone who does NOT fight for a contested ball. During the start of this season, first 6-8 games, we will see if Zay has progressed into the next level NFL receiver. We will see if he is willing AND able to come down with those contested passes. We will also find out if his lacking ability to catch the ball has improved, as it must in order to remain with the 53. IMO we need to bring Duke up and see what he's got. Worst case he shows he is inept at the NFL level and we cut him. Best case we find out we have an ace in the hole in the red zone and short yardage situations.

The man loves football, you can tell its in his DNA. He needs to be around the game. I am grateful he has been sharing his knowledge with our young stud Ed and think it will be invaluable to Oliver's progression. If Kyle shows aptitude for coaching during this time I hope the FO makes him an offer he can't refuse. It would be awesome to see the Meatball on the Bills sideline for the foreseeable future.

Damn! When is the last time we saw a Bills player make the type of catches Duke has made routinely this preseason? When is the last time Zay caught a contested ball? Duke is hungry and it is being noticed by the look of Daboll after this catch. Is there a minimum amount of time required before players can be called up from the PS? I mostly agree with what you posted, we have a lot of unknowns and a lot of hopefuls. I admit my post was a major 'homer' post, I do however believe Allen will be a superstar. Time will tell. Don't ruin my homer optimism

I couldn't agree more, thanks for taking the time to post that. I know many disagree, saying the NFL has changed so much, if you don't have a 2 yr rebuild its a failure now and you might as well tear it down AGAIN. I disagree, I see this Bills team as very similar to the 87' or 88' team. I see it taking a couple more years to reach its peak and get fine tuned with all the 'right' pieces in place. I know instant gratification is sadly what rules many lives now but Buffalo fans need to have a little patience. (I know how hard that is after 20 yrs of incompetence). The foundation is being laid right now and I have Faith that we have the leadership and FO to do it. So much was accomplished this past off season, I cant wait to see what pieces are added next year. I have not been this optimistic in a long, long time, (since we got Kelly, Josh reminds me a LOT of Kelly except a much higher ceiling). Enjoy the ride Bills Fans. Sounds like a plan. Josh reminds me a lot of Jim. I hope to see Josh take control this year and audible a lot more. Not go full out no huddle but change the pace to take advantage of certain defensive sets, similar to the Pats. Who needs a punter.
