Love the guy and love his game.

But this is not some panacea to cure all ills.

He's going to be less powerful and it's likely that it will be harder for him to hold the POA, to push the pocket, to hold guys off and move down the line and he's going to be available less as well.

The only reason he's playing is because he's probably just hitting the point where he can now be equally effective as Poona Ford and that is where the expectations should lie, imo.

That should slowly improve as the weeks pass but for right now, I can't expect too much out of him.

I just hope people don't turn on him like they have with other injured players that didn't meet fan's ill-informed unrealistic expectations.

Some people reading this thread are saying "Wow, this is great, Go Bills"

Other people reading this thread are saying "I can predict the future and I'm an expert football commentator.  Not fair that Romo gets millions for what I could do much better for a lot less money."

    Just saying.

  2. A year after Geno Smith got "Comeback Player of the Year" for coming back from sucking for his whole career, Damar at least represents a lot of personal perseverance and courage involved in not just experiencing a medical miracle, but actually doing what it takes to make an NFL roster.  He could have hung it up and said enough, now I'll just live my life since I used to be dead and this is the better choice.

The weirdest thing about this list is ... Jake Browning????????

Part of the problem was Bills fans and WGR hosts believing that the NYT playoff odds were predictive of the future.  The fact that the Bills have less than 20% in week 10 meant absolutely nothing.

In a way you're right, the odds were always either 100% or 0%.  Same with holding a picnic on a day with a 42% chance of rain. But since we don't know which one yet, we enjoy dealing in probabilities and statistics.

Hockey rules   10 min ot. 2 timeouts. No reviews. If an injured player stops the clock the team can either use a to or he cannot return to the game. If 3 players do this the third player is removed and a to taken.

Hockey rules?  I agree.  Seven-man football in overtime!!

  5. One of the highlights of the Dallas game was seeing Micah Parsons get shut down after all the hype about him. I remember we did the same to Maxx Crosby earlier in the season. Our OLs have had some big games (particularly Brown and Torrence).

I seem to recollect that there have been other game-wrecking DLs who have had bad games against us but can't remember who - ???

  6. I'm trying to understand the principle in all of this.  Stuff costs money.  Sometimes we have to pay a bit more for what seems like the same product.  But if you want Josh and Stef and the rest to get their big money contracts so we can enjoy having them on our team, the system has to produce enough revenue, and the guys with the proprietary interests are always going to look for a way to enhance their profit margins.

It's called capitalism, bro. You don't have to like it (who does when it costs more money) but as Winston Churchill said "it's the worst system, except for all the others."
