Maybe he forgot his mantra.

At the very least he has made the Bills relevant the last 5/6 years. Something the city was craving/needed.
I thought we were past the stage where we were happy merely to be thought of as an actual NFL team. We're supposed to be hoping for a superbowl victory, no?

I think Buffalo Bills fans are going to be disappointed if they think Sean McDermott is going at the end of the season regardless of what happens. Joe Brady is here on a OC try out. Looking at it objectively for Sean McDermott too have success he needs a strong OC and he needs to do a Chicago Bears Mike Ditka with DC Buddy Ryan. They both were on terrible terms but what made Mike Ditka a Super Bowl head coach. He stayed out of Buddy Ryan side of the building. Sean McDermott needs to think about that because if he keeps meddling in things like offense he will be fired after next season regardless of how Terry Pegula feels about him. Because the Bills aren’t selling 60,000 PSL’s with this current Bills product because Buffalo isn’t Dallas in size where Dallas Cowboys owner could stay loyal to a Jason Garret and still draw sellout crowds. Buffalo/Western New York/Southern Ontario doesn’t have the market size to do that look at the Buffalo Sabres.
Again no matter what Sean McDermott if he has a season like this season he won’t get a 2025 season because the Buffalo Bills will need to get the new coach ready selling hope and change a new beginning for 2026 when the new Bills season starts. Brandon Beane will bring the candidates for Terry Pegula to pick from. Brandon Beane I believe is safe for now he will get one coaching hire than he will be on the hot seat for being fired if it doesn’t turn out. But Sean McDermott can have success if he hires a strong OC with way more experience than Ken Dorsey and stays out of the way on offense in my opinion. Go Bills! Let’s Go Buffalo
You're giving Sean a do-over which means you won't have a new coach here until Josh's age 30 season. I think there needs to be more urgency than that around this issue.

I would think that bringing Matt Araiza in for a tryout is the right thing to do, both morally and perhaps for the betterment of the team.
This. If nothing else it would show the league that the Bills consider him rehabilitated, even if they don't sign him.
I have a lot of trouble with teams cutting players on the basis of unproven allegations. I think my high school civics teacher used to talk about "innocent until proven guilty" (or some other quaint 18th century expression) but I guess that doesn't apply in sports.

Nope. Those “drops” were on Josh. He has always been a “see it throw it” guy but it’s at another level this year. He is so uninterested pre-snap that he is forced to process everything on the fly. By the time he finally sees it, he often has to throw it with so much zip that it makes it nearly impossible for his receivers, crazy bounces happen, etc. Josh is a huge problem this year and it’s his lack of preparation and work before the ball is snapped.
So clearly the solution is to find the guy who has been coaching Josh personally all year and promote him to OC.
Got it.

Let’s just say that we had fired Mcdermott rather than Dorsey….who would be the HC? Dorsey? Washington? Kromer? Shula? Ehhhhhhh.
We’d also need a defensive playcaller/DC.
Maybe Frasier comes back? They already have him in the HR database.

Well, we did play the Rams in the very next game after the SB and we blew their doors off.

Just curious - what kind of icing do you put on a s*** cake? Chocolate? (It certainly works aesthetically.)

Reminds me of 2016 when Rex fired the OC (a day after scoring 31 in a loss to the Jets) - mostly to deflect fire from himself

As much as I want McD gone, the only way Pegula fires McD is if he has relations with a coworker

But this is a coaching staff forever running from 13 seconds
I've written this before and got flamed for it, but Sean's biggest failure was never owning 13 seconds or even explaining what went wrong. It was obvious in the moment that this was caused by coaching failures. Not being transparent about it cost him the fan base and maybe the locker room.

There is no way that he said that. Like, it is absolutely something that a complete moron would say so it does make me wonder, but naaaah nobody is that stupid. Just not possible.
After McD gets fired he can post on this board.

Would Diggs redo his deal so that he becomes tradeable?

release Hyde, Poyer, Tre
miller and Knox need to be showcased and tried to be moved in 2024.
get a comp pic for Davis.
a busy offseason just to hit the reset button.

Hopefully he doesn't get hurt late in the year and miss 2/3 of next season now.
If we lose to the Jets, shut him down for the season?

2 TO's for Allen. Ain't know way he gets the hit for the TO on the Gabe drop, that was money. But the 2 TO's and the whiff pass to Shakir on 4th and 2 left a lot to be desired.
I say start Shane Buechele next week.
For those of you who don't know, he's a quarterback employed by the Buffalo Bills. Jersey #6 (shades of Dave Chapple).

So what's the excuse on the last play? What else was McD doing that he couldn't count 12 guys on the field? AFTER a timeout too!
He was still face palming after calling the second blitz.
BTW there was no timeout, the Broncos had to run their FG unit out there fast. Problem was that McD used up his timeouts on defense and whoever was responsible for counting the players couldn't do anything about it.
16 minutes ago, Gunsgoodtime said:Without Josh Allen, we wouldn't even be making the playoffs! Oh, wait...yikes! I bet anything Gailey would have this team trucking forward harder than they are now. He'll, look what he did with Ryan Fitzpatrick and Stevie Johnson! We have Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs now and we are just as bad if not worse! The coaches are failing miserabley. In a catastrophic type bombing effect
Gailey and Wade are the two unsung heroes of the post-superbowl years.

It may not be as early as wished for, but its certainly a reasonable amount of time to not worry about the Bills for sure
Wait until after the Jets game. Will the Bills be a home 'dog next week?

I guess it was better getting their heads kicked in by 30 points on a weekly basis in those other years 3 times as frequently.
I used to pray that the Bills would start the season 0-5 so I could sit back and enjoy the games the rest of the season.

Anybody here remember Renaldo Nehemiah? World record holder in the 110 hurdles (and the first to break 13 seconds). Became a WR for the 49ers. In 40 games he caught 43 balls and 4 touchdowns (one touchdown every ten games on average). Started a total of 4 games. But boy was he fast!

Lost by 1 point to the '72 "perfect" Dolphins. That's 51 years ago.
