  1. I try and just enjoy the games week to week  Any week they have a legitimate shot to win and unfortunately this year has lost some head scratchers as well Been some exciting games, even some of the losses with a few clunkers  It is what it is  Josh can still put on a show at any moment so it keeps me tuning in

I didn't say that.  Obviously the 2018 & 2019 Allen was a work in progress and far from the elite QB he is today.  What I was responding to was your continued parroting of the false narrative that McD did a good job "developing" Allen.  IMO the evidence from those two years, particularly 2018, was that Allen was thrown to the wolves.

The fact is that McD had a "plan" for Allen's development that was poorly designed and executed (sound familiar).  The plan involved bringing AJ McCarron in as the "vet" QB Allen could learn from.  The problem was that no one told McCarron before he signed that was going to be his role and he wanted no part of it.  Then the plan was to let Allen sit and learn while Peterman was named the starting QB.  And how long did that last?  It lasted until Peterman had set a new NFL record for consecutive offensive possessions without getting a 1st down in game 1. In what alternate universe are we going to call this a good plan?

There was no plan.  Allen succeeded in spite of Sean McDermott not because of him.  They treated the offense like the least important thing on the team.    Just rehash the personnel moves that were made to get talent around Allen till they finally got Diggs.   Took 5 years to finally get O line settled and the Bills have not had a bellcow back other  teams prepare for ever under Sean.

What if he throws an interception in OT? What is the difference? Why not at least try a running play? At least going for it with 20 seconds the Bills knew they had a chance. Not only did McD not take the chance he risked losing the coin toss and the Bills could have never even got the ball in OT. He felt safer with a 50-50 coin flip than running 3 plays on offense.

McDermott was ok with Allen throwing the ball 51 times in pouring rain in regulation  but couldnt stomach another pass attempt or two?  Its ridiculous and shows what his mentality is

Had the same thought man.  That's the GAME.  Defense is about to run an all-out blitz.  You're about to try to win the game with an option route after there has already been miscommunication on option routes during the game.  Why not call TO and make sure everyone is aligned before taking the most important snap of the game to that point??   I hate thinking about this play and would could have been, but can't help it.  It's always something or another.  SMH

Have to save those time out to ice kickers and make sure your prevent defense is on the same page.  Agreed they should have talked over what was happening to make certain  Not leave to it a split decision by both players with options involved

To your point, Tomlin is actually one of the best to win in 1 score games. Over the last 3 years his record is 21-8-1 in one score games.

However, as I said he's one of the best and not the norm. Found this tweet for more of a baseline in regards to how Tomlin is vs McDermott

Good coaches dont let bad teams hang around to allow close games  How in the heck did we have one score games w Jets/Pats/Broncos/Bucs/Giants

Okay...but what if McD was capable?  What if the rest of the way McD put the game in the hands of Josh and the offense?

Its never going to occur  If he was going to change it would have happened after 13 seconds.  He is the same coach he was in 2017  He has not grown or adjusted his philosophy/game day coaching in any way shape or form

I don't disagree that McD is flawed in putting everything on his defense in late game situations and using his TOs to help them out at the expense of the offense...but on this Board he's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.  In the Denver game he blitzes at the end and gets burned.  In this game he doesn't.  Same result...a loss.    He got away from "playing not to lose" and now he's back there again.  My hope is that during this bye week he realizes he needs to put the game on his offense...which is now the team's strength under Brady.  Play the season out with that mindset.  Let's see what happens.  In the off season...depending on what happens, let the chips fall where they may.

Not going to happen . Sean sees things in black/white and he is not adaptable.  For a defensive coach you would think he would figure out a way to get a stop at the end of  a game by accident once in a while  He's o for this season far as I am concerned  He got lucky the Giants game they didnt call the grab by Taron Johnson and lucky Godwin didnt see the fb on the Bucs Hail Mary
