Real sad way too young.
as to the obvious joke/references to his midgame retirement it's got to be that quote from Tre White doing the impression "Yeah I'm done young Bull."

Strangulation you say?

Jalen Carter crashed a car and left the scene of a fatal car accident. He got probation and was drafted top 10 a year later. Rice was incredibly lucky that his stupidity didn’t have a worse ending. I’m not condoning his actions, nor does it make even the tiniest bit of difference what I think should happen to him. The reality is that it was a traffic accident that resulted in no major injuries. He’s got enough money to afford a competent attorney, so the odds of him seeing the inside of a jail cell are virtually nil.
I realize he plays for the team that keeps winning Super Bowls so everyone here wants to pretend that the book will be thrown at him, but that’s little more than fan fiction.
There is a significant difference in those cases, while yes someone died, but they were the people in the other car racing and it wasn't due to a collision with his car they couldn't make the turn and veered off the road.
In this case both cars hit multiple vehicles by the look of it and that's not great.

Odds moving trying to draw people into making that bet?

It'll be really awkward if it turns out he put down a bet on multiple car pile up.

Just racing fine stupid given his situation to make money for his family but fine, racing in a situation where you can wreck into other cars not involved on the other hand, what an #######.

I just want them to go back to those COVID year remote drafts. Some of the best unintentional comedy the NFL has ever produced.
I think it'd be great if someone forgot to tell him we'd gone back to the old format.

What is he trying to get an extension with the Chiefs, isn't it early?

Hasn't Bass been kicking it too low already and you want him kick it closer to the line?

Roger Goodell may be a soulless demon that feeds on the boos of disappointed NFL fans.

With the season gaining an extra week moving it back makes sense.

I eat pop tarts all the time; I have an addiction with them.
No.1 favorite, by a mile, is cinnamon and brown sugar.
No. 2 is cherry.
After that, who cares.
Of note: for anyone in the South with access to Publix brand grocery stores, check out the Publix brand fake Pop Tarts.
They are about half the cost of the real thing, and actually much better. The brown sugar/cinnamon that I eat constantly are noticeably thicker with quite a bit more stuff inside, and the taste is a little different and better.
The "real" Pop Tarts taste kind of generic and chemically-based in comparison.I wonder where the Publix are made...but they are great.
Might want to try any house brand you can find in your grocery store...might be the same thing I am eating from Publix.
$3.49 for 12 of these babies!
This is pretty much me, Brown sugar & Cinnamon and Cherry I think or Strawberry.....whichever one was the red filling with colorful bits on outside either way it's not like either of them actually tasted like strawberries or cherries.

Now we're talking about AB, and I don't have $1m, but Id bet a paycheck AB can't read past a 5th grade level and dang sure can't write a single Tweet without multiple heinous spelling errors.

Nice subjective reading. He said "we all made mistakes." He included himself. Not just McDermott.
There is no question the team wasn't prepared for the moment, and that of course is on McDermott. However, he said "we all made mistakes, and the clear implication is that a lot of different people could have done things differently.
It's exactly this, he doesn't say who called the defense he ways it's on all of them, and he's right. Did Frasier call the defense, maybe but McDermott is the defensive minded HC who should see that and say Hell NO! So it doesn't matter if it was Fraisier or McDermott who called that series we still should have done better and that's on the defensive system as a whole.

Agreed. Because AB isn’t going to stop now.Rather inclusive of AB to hire someone with as bad of a history of head injuries as him to run his twitter.
Not great to respond to him, have to think Hamlin being a Pittsburg kid that AB being at the height of his career with the Steelers when he was in what maybe late high school or college already didn't help.

Josh actually looks lighter now than he did last offseason to me. Maybe he didn't split his pants because he was a fatty after all?
A comment I noticed at some point in maybe the exit interviews or maybe on his subway tour with all those snacks is that he mentioned a nutritionist or some sort of diet plan which is something I don't believe he's ever focused on that much before.

From the fan side definitely don't want the distraction, from the content consumer side stick it in my veins.
Do think Bills or Chiefs with how consistently they've performed are serious candidates with the rule change. Wonder if Mahomes doing "Quarterback" would make it more or less likely for them?

Sounded like we're drafting 11 WRs to me.

Yes people accidentally commit penalties, yes refs are going to make mistakes, that happens with current rules and whenever you introduce a new rule, the idea that it should prohibit introducing one is ridiculous.
The video showing the tackles of players going from up high and then swinging their weight down to pin the runners legs to the ground, like how is it not obvious how that causes injuries, the NFL taking a swing at eliminating this makes perfect sense, implementing it we'll see.

So if you come in from behind for a tackle and hit the guy in the back to take him down is that a illegal hit in the back or a blind side tackle ? Not exactly sure how this is going to work & if enforced as such how many will just let the runner go in fear of being penalized or fined .
Only if you do it in a certain way.
I think I remember the issue being pointed out was the taking the legs out and pinning them down as they took them down from behind, that's the thing that leads to injuries that they want to avoid.
-
I think I remember when it was originally brought up despite the initial confusion about what it was and typical "They're making the game soft!" when people who actually knew what it was explained it, the reason to remove it did make sense.

When your #1 WR is on the wrong side of 30 and just had a season where he seemed to fall off towards the end in a draft that appears to be a strong WR one, absolutely.
I hope Diggs has a great season and maybe is able to stick around longer, but you have to look down the road anyway.

Damar Hamlin vs Antonio Brown on X
