I don't know what the salary cap implications are but the first thing I'd do after the season is cut Rodgers, Adams, Lazard, and fire every member of the coaching staff.  This will hopefully signal to potential head coaching candidates and GM's they aren't interested in short term fixes anymore. You need a GM and head coach that can convince the young talent they do have (Wilson, Sauce, Johnson, McDonald, Quincy, Hall, Reed, etc.) they're committed to building a sustainable winning culture.  Give Mike Vrabel a blank check to be the head coach because that's the type of personality they need right now.

Then go out and sign a well liked bridge quarterback (Tyrod Taylor would actually be perfect) and draft a QB of the future.  Teams can turn around quick with the right GM, head coach, and young quarterback.  Look at Washington this year.  Look at the Texans the year before.  Or they can run it back and we can continue laughing at the absolute disaster that the organization is right now.

That's how pathetic this organization has become.  Robert Saleh has become a sympathetic figure in all this and he absolutely should be.

If that article about how the ownership acts is true, it's not really going to fix *****, and I'm not just saying it like they're going to just ***** up again, I mean if half the ***** they say happened did, they've got to be so ready to be gone, wanting to stick around feels like an uphill battle.

The issue with the Jets is Aaron Rodgers. He is toxic. They now face a fight to keep Garret Wilson with the team because of Rodgers' behaviour. They had a group of talented younger guys who totally bought into their Head Coach, for good or bad, and wanted leadership and guidance from a vet QB.  Instead they brought in an ego centric arsehole who is only interested in undermining every one around him to prop himself up. Even last night when he missed Yeboah on one of those early drives he is doing all the hand signals to make it clear for the cameras "that's not on me, these guys run the wrong routes."

I'm not a bit pro wrestling guy but remember when Vince brought back the nWo and the story was he was intentionally injecting poison into his own company? Well that ridiculous pre wrestling storyline is literally what the Jets did two years ago trading for Rodgers.

Here are the positives going forward. The Jets have:

    Sauce Gardner

    Quinen Williams

    Will McDonald

Jermaine Johnson (if he can come back healthy)

    Alijah Vera Tucker

Garret Wilson (if they can persuade him to stay)

Ola Fashanu (that kid is a hit)

That is still one of the better collections of age 27 and under talent in the entire league. If they can get the toxic posion out in the shape of #8, get the right GM and Head Coach there is talent there to start from. But the entire culture needs remaking because of the damage Aaron Rodgers has done.

Any team considering bringing him in for 2025 (he still wants to play and prove he isn't the problem) be warned. He is a franchise wrecker.

Yeah it does pretty well some up a big problem the current team had/went through. Like or dislike Saleh he was a leader and had that defense playing, didn't have the QB for the team though.  Bringing in Rogers is a problem because everything we'd heard about him being a cancer in GreenBay was apparently true....which no ***** why do you think they were trading him. You can't have a QB come in and try and run the team like he's the coach while your still trying to form the team it's a cluster*****.

Mack Hollins is trending on twitter...for...basically being awesome haha.  Still can't believe all the whining and crap that was piled on this guy during the offseason by a lot of posters around here.

I don't remember there being so much in the offseason so much as there being a lot early in the season when things weren't gelling with all the new pieces and he looked one way when he should have looked the other on an awesome Josh Allen deepshot in against the ?Texans?

He leads the NFL in total EPA and EPA per play. EPA is the definition of "valuable." So he in fact has the strongest statistical case out of all of them. He's of course doing this with the weakest set of weapons compared to any other QB in the conversation.

People keep ignoring it, but Lamar has fumbled the ball 10 times.

Giving it to Lamar this year would only make last year more ridiculous. It would call the voting into question.

Not to mention how he embarrassed them in the Playoffs, that award was awkward as hell after he laid a damn egg.

He's going to win it but there will be A LOT of "Lamar was better talk" the next couple of weeks, so they'll still have plenty of motivation.

Yeah and then Lamar will probably get eliminated in the Wildcard in hilarious fashion and they'll all shut up.

I absolutely love that we denied Rodgers that 500th TD in our house.  As for the Jets, that may be the most undisciplined team I've ever seen.  Not a team at all in fact.

Instead he takes a dominating lead for the most sacks taken.

Extending his lead because why the hell not he was already a freak.

I think if Allen doesn't win the MVP it will actually help the team in the playoffs. They are better with a chip on their shoulders, like most teams.

Well it'd be for the Super Bowl considering when they announce it, but sure I'd take the boost but we got to get ourselves in position for it.

The Ravens actually need to win next week to win their division so Lamar will play.  And now it's the hapless DTR Browns, not the Famous Jameis Browns so Lamar could dumpster them.  I would obviously prefer if Josh just hands the ball of 1 time for his ironman streak and we watch Mitch the whole game, but it really could torpedo his MVP chances at the last second.

And it's a revenge game because.....you know they lost to this ***** terrible Browns team already, which hey I'm sure that will get repeated on the broadcast.

Barkley is going to break the rushing record.  I bet he gets some MVP votes.  It won't be unanimous like last year 50-1.  Barkley has only scored 2 TDs in his last four games, I think that should matter.  RB's obviously don't touch the ball nearly as much as QBs.

If someone votes for Barkley it's purely for appearances.
