yes .. I can do the maths … Im not saying they aren’t getting value for the move . I don’t think either of us are going to know Beane plans or how they value these guys… I can only offer my opinions and moving up for Thomas expending more draft capital than a fourth is not my preferred option …after comparing him to the 5th and 6th guys who are likely available at the original pick
-
I think it’s a real possibility that Kneeland could be on their list.. could see him maybe lasting to early/mid third … so would be great if he was the third pick and not the second at that point in the draft
-
I agree that 60 isn’t the best spot this year … but I don’t see how trading down helps … they should be looking at trading up and getting another top prospect in this draft … In relation to the first pick …If Brian Thomas costs more than a fourth to move up for ( which means 2-3 spots ) than move on to the next guy …

Randy Mueller - maybe only ~150 draftable players this year

It’s certainly not the first time I’ve heard it .. -
I guess it depends on what ambitions you have for 2024…. They need to replace Diggs now … not in 2025… Although … Personally I would be using the pick to assist with getting Diggs and Davis replacement prior to the 3rd round …
-
Im assuming they should have some idea by now whether Miller is going to be improved or not from 2023 …if there are still questions about him then they might have to get a bit more desperate at DE
-
I’m assuming you are aware that the DE talent come Day 3 is pretty low .. Xavier Thomas and Kamara best of a bad bunch most likely …it’s debatable they are much better than Toohill or Kingsley… Im hoping that they can get a guy in the Top 60-70 along with 2 WR … yes Beane’s will really need to work some magic …
-
What about Sutton ? I think they could get it done for like a fifth round … I think the depth at DE is the shortest of any position … there are S and CB I like into rounds 4-5
-
I wouldn’t be relying on finding a post June 1 Leonard Floyd signing again … you can sign a guy but does mean it will work out as well as Floyd did .. DE is a very much a need … given the scheme rotation requirements and the question mark over Miller … Maybe not quite as big as WR …

I will say this .., at the start of Day 3 of the draft … there will likely be a lot of players left that people here will still be very keen on the Bills drafting … Probably they will be mostly gone by end of Round 5 ..: which to me seems like a pretty typical year -
Do it … if it doesn’t require more than a fourth to trade up

Who should the Bills draft at #58? - TSW Mock Draft 2.0
Aussie Joe replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
I have said before that the draft is weak at the end of the second …. Polk might be ok here …not the other two at 60… I’m a fan for a move up from 60 way more than 28.. I actually think there is good value in rounds 4-5 at OL, S ,CB, RB… -

If these were the actual choices on the day I would not be happy … -
Can’t believe Josh is still on a 9 handicap … when is he going to start getting serious about his golf game ? Mahomes just wants to get away from his wife

Dion is a good Company man

I would even suggest like a 3rd plus like a sixth might get it done … But then you gotta still pay him $20m plus a year ..based on what Ridley just got paid .. If the Bucs are happy to wait until after the draft so we can accomodate him on a post June deal… ok … I think they might prefer picks in this years draft though..
-
The dead money angle is a reasonable take … but what do you expect to pay as draft compensation and to re-sign him ? they won’t give him away … and he won’t be cheap for the Bills to re- sign … Bucs can also could get a 3rd/4th comp pick for him ….
-
Bills would need to totally miss in the draft to consider this … and if the Bucs want to move on from him they may as well get a pick in this years draft IMO.. which the Bills can’t really accomodate to pick him up now and get his $20 mil salary on the books ,,, looks like the Bucs got a lot of dead money to eat up so likely a Diggs like situation for them ..which doesn’t make a lot of sense for a guy that seems happy enough to be there ..
-
Problem is they don’t have the cap space to get him on the team ($14m) and then redo his deal… they gunna end up having to pay him $24m + a year then … Think it’s just too hard …
-
Sutton would be ok if they make a trade up and can only get one WR in the draft ….he might only cost a fifth too.. But I don’t know how they do it … He has a cost of $13m and they don’t have that space … And Denver ain’t going to eat any of his salary for a Day 3 pick …
