I said it before, but the best way to beat teams like the Chiefs and Bengals is not a better D, but giving your franchise QB all the weapons and protection you can get, and let him go out there and out-score them.....unfortunately, I don't think McBeane share this line of thinking.

Tried that against KC 2 years ago. Didn't work. 😉

Avila here.  We need OL upgrades before anything else.  Only 1 of our returning OGs (including FAs) were in the top 50 guards.  Won't cut it.  Avila can play C/G or even tackle at a high level.  something like 4 pressures on around 440 passing snaps last season.  I'd also be okay with one of the OTs remaining here.

I think I'd rather wait and see if Mauch makes it to 59. Or even trade up a few of spots if things got dicey.🤔. I really like his versatility.

Specific player aside, we're currently looking at:

    MLB - 20 votes

    OT - 15 votes

    DT - 14 votes

    IOL - 11 votes

    WR - 9 votes

Interesting. Didnt think LBs would score that high.

Speaking that generally, I'd like to go OL (any OG/C/OT) at 34, then shift to defense at 59. Given the LBs and DTs left, we should be able to snag one there...

I'm not that surprised. LB, IMO, is our biggest hole remaining.

    1) I think, but this may be my own bias, that Beane could actually pivot from some draft tendencies that imo have not been smart. I believe he recognizes, he should, that devoting resources to Josh Allen and the offense ought to be a priority. However, if he gravitates back towards defense 2) I think he is going to correctly prioritize DL over LB, but if he doesn't 3) I think Trenton Simpson is a better fit, an athlete with a higher ceiling, and the more likely early LB pick.

I get what you are saying. I am probably biased towards McDermott having more say in who is drafted. (And obviously,  I am a JC fan😉). Especially this draft as he will be taking on PC duties for the D. I think Edmunds was a higher ceiling guy as well (was very good), but, took a while to get there. This time I think they will go more with experience, instincts, better tackling and leadership vs. Potential. More plug and play so to speak.

As to resources to JA. Just about the entirety of the offseason was based on offense. If I remember correctly,  the only addition to the D was Wrapp at S?🤔

Guess we will find out in about 12 hours or so.😁

Forgot to add, I believe #31 is available. 😉🤣

  5. I am going to list by picks and not rounds. I have a feeling we will move around the board, but still only end up with 1 extra pick this year.

    1. Jack Campbell LB

    2. Rashee Rice WR

    3. Zack Pickens DT

    4. Luke Schoonmaker TE

    5. Andrei Losivas WR/ST

    6. Andrew Voorhees IOL

    7. Jarick Bernard-Converse CB/S

No team suffers from “bad timing” worse than the Buffalo Bills…

And Beane has never been good at planning ahead…he always seems to be one year behind when drafting- likely why he always seems to be forced into drafting for need instead of BPA…

I agree with this. Just seems to me that Beane looks at what happened in the playoffs as a guide to the draft.

Loss to KC 3 yrs ago, couldn't get to Mahomes,  Draft Edge. Loss to KC again. Couldn't cover Kelce, wr's or get to Mahomes. Get Von, CB'S and a couple of DT'S.

Now a Loss to Bengals. Couldn't get pressure, cover wr's and couldn't score on O. 🤔

Find a way to get pressure for a Mahomes led KC team or find a way to score and pressure against a Burrow led Bengals team....

ohh, the pressure...What does Beane do?😁

I hope so but the main positions on offense for upgrade are WR and RT and I’m not sure the Bills will feel the value is there at 27.

Foe defense, the positions are much more in line with the projected value at 27. LB, DT, DE. Plus, McDermott is calling plays now and I feel like he is going to want every position stacked to his liking. And McDermott has a big say in who the Bills draft as we have seen.

I hope we go offense for all of the first three rounds and more, but I am doubtful.

I believe our first pick will be D as well.

May the odds be ever in your favor.😉

Could this initial post be provided with 'described text', for those of us 'late to the party'?  Nothing too graphic, mind you. 🧐🤔

I'd like to see it as well. Probably one of those car wrecks you'd like to see that has had you stuck in traffic for an hour, but when you get there, it may not be what you really want to see.🤔
