  1. Groot, Walker, Sanders, Jackson. That's a wall right there.

I am picturing a lot of quick passes and quite a few tipped passes this year which will lead to interceptions. I'd say our LB's are going to have a very good year. Milano has had a rough couple of years. Hopefully he will come back to form. Bernard has been great. But I think Williams will be the surprise on D this year. He'll get more opportunities and will take full advantage. 😁

It takes a lot of self discipline to remain thick skinned and not shoot back at the critics.  Beane getting a little salty on a radio network doesn't mean hardly anything in the long run but I don't see this as some kind of putting these radio guys in their place type victory.  It accomplishes nothing.

It doesn't,  but at the same point it's about trying to change the narrative. People (IMO) are way over reacting and way too much attention is being put on the position. It's also taking focus away from the great new players we did draft. Not fair to the new guys.

Everyone knows that, but taking some guy in the fourth or fifth round, that they had a bad grade on, just to make fans happy, wasn’t the plan.

I just wonder if when they traded up to 109 it was all done before the Raiders picked and were going to grab Thornton. Then were like we'll, screw it we'll just take Walker now. Not that we'll ever really know.🫣

I don't know anything about him. Good pick.

I started looking at him more, obviously since he was drafted.  Yeah, he seems like a good kid. I did see that he does quite a bit of double catching. Hopefully he figures that out quickly. DB's will figure that out in a hurry. Plus with the way Josh throws,  he might get a ball cross tattooed on himself.😉

Probably unrealistic, but I would try to pry Alec Pierce away from the Colts. He’s what we need, in the last year of his contract and expendable with Adonai Mitchell sitting around. I don’t think it’s likely, especially now that the draft has concluded. But maybe something like that, some guy on a roster who is expendable.

I wanted Pierce back when he was drafted. I'd be good with it if there is a deal to be had.😁

its not great…I would sign Elijah Moore.

    If you want speed it’s:

    Elijah Moore

    Nelson Agholor

    DJ Chark

    Kadaroious Toney

    Anthony Schwartz

    If you want old guys:

    Amari Cooper

    Keenan Allen

    Allen Robinson

    Robert Woods

    OBJ

If you want a malcontent who can’t catch:

    Diontae Johnson

If you want a small fast guy who can return:

    Brandon Powell

    Deonte Harty

Already tried the Harty thing. Pass. Don't want older. A WR has to be able to catch. So that leaves Group 1.

I like a little more height, so I'd go Chark. Wanted to grab him last year. Maybe playing with Josh and real contenders, maybe it will revitalize his game.

    Wouldn't mind Moore.

Still have a gut feeling, something is coming that's not expected. 😉😇😁

I liked the draft.  I think drafting a receiver just for drafting one was probably not worth it.  This draft wasn't good with the positional talent there.  I'm a little disappointed not trading up for Malaki Starks, he was that much better than what we have at the position.  I would have traded the first round next year for him to make it happen.  I like that defense was addressed, especially since there was a strong draft for CB and DT.  This draft will be defined good or bad by Landon Jackson imo.

So it'll be defined as an AWESOME draft.😉😇😁

The point being Josh had the ball in his hand in both games with time to move down the field, and failed to do so. And that wasn't all on Josh.

The hope here is that the Bills have fixed the issue so they won't be behind going into the final moments of the 4th - that the defense would have held off the opposition's offense to the extent that it can be kneel down. And with so much invested in the D across the draft surely this year is the year where there can be no more excuses for McDermott (horrific injury run aside). This defense has to work. But there will be questions asked if it comes to the detriment of the offense and they fail to get over the hump because of that too. Albeit, there is still time to improve the WR room before September.

We got our a$$'s handed to us against Cincy. No chance of winning that game the way our D played. It wasn't in Josh's hands to win.

As to this past game, should never have come down to basically a hail mary play.

We averaged like 5+ ppg more than Philly last year and more than 11+ points more than KC. Again, far from an offensive issue.

We needed a major change on D.

Yes, there is still time to improve the WR room and I think it'll be here soon.😉😇😁

  9. I give it an A-. I Loved the overall theme and focus. Even being a Defense minded fan, I really would have liked to grab a WR say like Tessla or Thornton and believe we could have. But as I said in another post. I think they have something up their sleeve to fill that need.😉😁

Haven’t watched any highlights- just listened to his interview from today. I love this guy.  Dude just wants to smack people.  And has an economics degree from Yale.

I still have some hope for Davidson, but I’m really rooting for Hawes.

Edit:  watched a little tape. He’s our version of Alan Ricard…. Just a lot smaller.  He’s not just a good blocking TE.  He’s an extremely good blocker.  Maybe he can play the Mack Hollins role on some of those screens 🤣  I’d bet he’ll be in the league for 5+ years as a designated blocker.

And lined up next to Brown, could make for a fun right side. 😉😁

Or, the offense that scores the most wins the game, lol,

    it’s always how it works,

when was the last time a defense out scored an offense??

lol, you’re killing me man 🤣

    1938. Chicago vs GB. (2-0). 😉😇😁

Yes I applauded that, but still need them to try harder. Hopefully they have something in the works

Yes all but one team lost lol yes the Eagles defense was good but all of Phillys offensive weapons helped against a good KC defense. I like both sides just feels like offense hasn’t been addressed as much

Personally,  I think Diggs may have turned them off from a lot of receivers. No more Divas and just want team players without the hassle. They need a break from it.😉 JMO.

Yes it likely doesn’t make a difference in one year. But when you keep drafting receivers each year, you eventually develop a more talented room and may actually draft a difference maker. We have not even really tried except for Coleman last year.

What I’m saying is that you can’t expect that just because last year was great, that this year will be. I’d say that neither Hollins or Cooper has been replaced as underhelming as they were. At some point you need real talent rather than Jags like Shenault and Shavers who are our WR5 and 6. The reason we are at this place of people begging for WRs is because we barely ever draft them. The Chiefs keep drafting guys, the Eagles WR is stacked, the Lions have a star and former first rounder Williams and just drafted a guy in the third, the Ravens have two first round WRs even if Bateman isn’t great. Talented WRs are still important. And not having them makes things hard on Josh just like having a defense that gives up 31.

We obviously have different views. I'm a defense guy and your an offense guy. Here's the thing. You're right. We haven't really done much for the WR room. BUT, you talk about KC and Detroit. Detroit lost in the championship game, same as us. KC lost to the Eagles because the Eagles defense. As the old saying goes, Defense wins Championships.😉😇😁

Yes we did. Thanks to an all time season from Josh. Now two of his receivers left and the running back that helped him is at an impasse with the organization. I’m very happy we added some defense, but we couldn’t have have used a pick before the 7th on someone who will catch a pass? Hawes is basically a blocker

I loved Hollins,  but he wasn't a speed guy that we all want or need. As far as Cooper, his production, do you think we can't get it replaced? Who is the WR we lost that we can't live without or get the same production from elsewhere?
