I have been thinking he is gonna be a Jet ever since they traded up. If bills get to #2, I would not be shocked if Baker is their target. I know if he is not a Bill, I don't want him in the division. But he just might

Bruce Smith with the 1st pick in the '85 draft (Bills went 2-14). We also were able to get Kent Hull out of the USFL. Thurman Thomas and Andre Reed wouldn't have been there either with Kelly in '83.
Just think, in the 85' draft bills took Bruce Smith #1, they also had the 14th pick. They used it on CB Derrick Burroughs. 2 picks later the niners took Jerry Rice. Imagine getting Smith and Rice in same draft. We did get Andre Reed in rd 4, so that was some good value.

I don't see anyway we play 3 of last 4 games against NFC teams. Not gonna happen

Our first born child came in April, 1989. The first time my wife dared to leave me alone in the house with little Michael was the first day of the draft. She came home to find me with my little swaddled up son on my lap in some cheap old recliner we bought from some guy with a truck on the side of the road. We were watching the draft while he was days old, and dad was explaining it all to him. This became one of our strongest bonds, and a blessing that kept us in touch almost daily.
God bless the Bills for that memory and that blessing.
That's awesome bud! Nothing like starting them off young. And you are right, the bond for the bills is so strong with myself and my children, it is amazing!

As a die hard Bills fan and proud father of 2 children (little bills fans, ages 5 and 2).. I you tube bills videos quite often, whether it's news, fan perspective, mock's, old/new player video's, songs, etc.. I cannot believe I have not seen this before lol. For fans that don't know, it's the music from the famous disney movie "Frozen". Prob bc I seen this movie many times, this video def made me laugh. Just thought I'd share on TSW, hope u guys/fathers/fans enjoy it as much as I did

I'm not gonna lie, I too thought he looked old lol

If the exact same prospect and personality of Jim were in the draft now, a majority of you would trash on him.
Just some perspective...
I agree, some would.. Some fans still don't like Kellys' personality, but as a player they loved him. Winning does wonders

That secretary must have been a Pats fan. I hope she was immediately escorted to the door.
Who interrupts a meeting like that??
Right.. and who the hell would allow the agent to take a call during a signing (unless it was family emergency)

I know most of you know the story, but with all the QB talk bout the upcoming draft, let's reminisce about our greatest qb of all time.
He jumped for joy, because he wasn't drafted by buffalo with 12th pick in 83' draft. 2 picks later, his worst nightmare became reality.
For those that have not seen this video, check it out. Us fans almost never got to know Kelly if it wasn't for USFL ending and a smooth $8,000,000.

what round do you think he goes
He is getting attention by many teams, wouldn't be surprised if he goes before the end of day 2

O’Daniel really fits the mold of the traditional Sean McDermott-player. At 6-foot, 223 pounds, he’s the ideal size for a modern linebacker. He’s relatively athletic, and he’s versatile. O’Daniel played on special teams at Clemson, and he strived in the role. He recorded 48 special teams tackles throughout his career.

If we ignored all the extra picks and I said we come out of round 1 2018 with our top qb, an and all pro WR and still had a round 2 pick and two round 3 picks but it cost us a 1 and 2 next year.... you’d love it.
That we accumulated so many extra picks changes the equation a little bit. We can target guys we want without it crippling our pipeline of talent.
Like I quoted OP in previous comment.. i am not against it.. I just don't see Beane making this trade. He covets draft picks and I find it hard to believe him giving up 1st AND 2nd next year

I thought about that but we have a third, two forths, a 5th, 6th and two 7th round picks.
However we would have our choice of QB, the assumption is we use some of our cap space in 2019 to sign Odell to a long term deal. We would still have picks 56 and 65 to address immediate needs at LB and OT, pick 96 and and 4th to get a 2nd LB and G, then our 5th, 6th and 7th for slot corner, DT and RB.
An offense of Benjamin and Beckham with Jones in the slot, Clay at TE, McCoy in the backfield, Ivory getting touches to spell Shady and an offensive line with added depth to go with a solid D with two LB's added along with a slot corner and I'll roll into Foxboro with a fighting chance.
I get what ur saying and I am not disagreeing.. I just don't see Beane giving up 1st and 2nd next year, he is noted for loving his draft picks.. I'm not against your proposal, but I feel McBeane wouldn't pull the trigger on that deal.. If we could keep our 2nd somehow next year and throw in a player (lawson), I would fully billieve it could be a realistic trade
-
No way bills trade 1st and their 2nd in 2019!! I know we have a quite a bit of money to spend next year, but this can't even be an option.

that said, the joke is on you two.
It's all fun and games bud.. I want a qb as bad as the next bills fan, but I also have a sense of humor, I just don't get why some ppl act furious bout this post(on April fool's day)

Regarding this... one thing I know is that more meetings isn’t always better than less meetings in terms of interest. It usually means teams have more questions and feel the need to continue meeting.
I hear ya. Nobody knows for sure why so many meetings with one prospect. Could be they love a guy or like you said, and try to uncover more info about the guy. It's gonna be a fun 4 weeks

I like Mayfield, but def not getting my hopes up. The Jets also met with him 4 times and several teams have met with him multiple times. Can't wait for the draft!!

No matter who we take, I am just hoping he is "The Guy" that we have been waiting for. I'll trust in McBeane and whoever we get, let's just hope he is a franchise guy for our beloved Bills!!
