Mitch Trubisky started 12 games last year.
7 passing TD's
2 rushing TD's
7 INT's
6.6 yards per attempt
77.5 passer rating
59.4 completion percentage
2193 passing yards
248 rushing yards
10 fumbles
3 fumbles lost
31 sacks
Not super impressive for the 2nd overall pick in the Draft but he's received pretty good press all last year and in the off season. I wonder what Josh Allen's raw stats will look like this year.

TBF it really doesn't matter. Dawkins struggled. Then he was injured for the third preseason game. Meanwhile, his linemates got beat like drums in game 3 until Cinci put in their second/third/fourth stringers, and weren't impressive against scrubs. The starting defense got ripped by Cinci's first stringers in game 3. I can see fans pretending poor performances in preseason don't matter but bravado by players in the face of such poor play is simply whistling past the graveyard.
From Week 10 of 2017 onwards, he was our fourth-ranked player with a 84.6 grade behind only Joe Staley, Nate Solder and Ryan Ramczyk.
Here's what PFF wrote about Dion Dawkins. I wouldn't over react to one pre-season game.

IIRC, the last time Dawkins played in the preseason, he got embarrassed by Miles Garrett. The team's performance on the field is exactly what inspired the Bills "NFL-long" Super Bowl odds.
TBF Myles Garrett is a future All Pro and DPOY.

I laugh when NFL players complain during NBA Free Agency and see the type of money being thrown around. This right here is why they'll never be paid like they should be.
Look at the workers siding with management. Makes me sick. Get your money Le'Veon. Plays the most taxing position and they use RB's up and then refuse to pay them. Now personally I would've accepted the 70M they offered but if he thinks he's worth more. Then hold out for more. Good for him. He has some trash teammates.

Allen still needs work with pre-snap stuff. Super smart kid so I expect him to pick it up but giving him the first few weeks on the bench isn't the worst thing especially considering we have a brutal first month.

I’m definitely ready to be hurt again

The "greatest arm ever" chatter is getting out of hand.
Anyway, I've shared my thoughts on Allen plenty of times. I have my doubts, but really hope I'm wrong.
Favre, Marino, George, Newton. Who else is on this list. He's definitely up there. -
I'm pretty even keeled and don't get myself into Twitter squabbles with reporters or opposing fans but I've been acting out of character since I've gone all in on Josh Allen. I was among his biggest detractors leading up to the Draft but I've decided to trust the process and honestly it wasn't a hard sell.
The kid is 6'5, 237, has wheels and is the owner of one of the best arms of all time. I've gotten to the point where I'm trashing 2019 QB prospects like Justin Herbert and Drew Lock. Complete bunker mentality and the National media is making it super easy because Allen seems to have crossed over from polarizing prospect to object of ridicule. The attacks seem personal and the all of the journos have gone from friendly banter to accusing Bills fans of being racists because we're not big on Tyrod Taylor.
This is a pointless thread but I'm kinda loving this bunker mentality. I'm hoping we see Josh Allen sooner rather than later because I want to see our new toy in action.
THAT'S MY QUARTERBACK!

This year is all about Josh Allen for me. I just want to go into next season knowing we have a Franchise guy.
He doesn’t need to have a OROY type season for me to feel that way either. If we go 3-13, get the #1 pick and feel good about Josh Allen it’s a win.
And as of right now Nick Bosa > Ed Oliver. Both defensive cornerstones.

Holding off judgement until FA next year. We'll have a lot of money and we need to make a splash.

I'm really excited for you guys to discover D.K. Metcalf-WR Ole Miss. He's an absolute freak.

Horrific OL, worst skill position players in the NFL and he's a little slow to process. I'd sit him for a bit.
-
Growing pains are good if you learn from them. Josh Allen still has work to do before snap with recognition. He's a smart kid so I hope it comes but he's gotta be quicker. Especially with this horrific OL.
It'll be nice if we actually invest some resources in our OL.
I'm fully aboard drafting Trey Adams in the 1st next year. Think we'll pick high enough where he's going to be there. A Taylor Lewan clone and we won't have to worry about the LT position for the next decade. Also allows us to kick Dion Dawkins in at LG so you're upgrading the left side of your line fairly easily.
-
My plan going forward
Draft Trey Adams-LT Washington 6’7 328 in the 1st, draft Dalton’s Risner-C Kansas St 6’5 310 in the 3rd and Daryl Williams from Carolina in FA
Adams-Dawkins-Risner-Teller-Williams
Invest in the OL and protect your Franchise QB

Pre-snap needs to be a little quicker but that was an abomination from his OL and skill guys. They sabatoged him.
Let Peterman play and take those lumps.
-
I’m terrified he’s gonna poop it up. I really hope he doesn’t man.

Remind me again why we haven't had Jason Peters for the last 15 years?
