Buffalo's best draft pick used on a WR in 6 drafts is a 4th on Davis. And he was so good they let him walk in UFA.

McBeane have found most of their production from UFA or trades at the position in a league which prioritizes them in the draft."

OK I misread that some after a few beers too many waiting for 1st round pick that didn't happen.....but plenty of other GM's have gone the same route, UFA and Trades ie Howie Roseman, Miami GM, PAINS me to type that, and more that I am too lazy to research for.  Beane is NOT the only one to try proven players versus crap shoot draft picks.  With a position like WR why pick an non proven Diva when you can trade for one and then jettison the for big bucks.....ugh.

Shakir was hardly used early on so the stats are skewed.  Davis?

Lets talk at the end of the year.  If Allen couldn't get he best out of him you think Horsey Face is?  I'm thinking a big no on that one.  J-Ville is reaching and paying.....the Bills used to be that team too.......

Oh and players like Tre, Milano, Dawkins, Allen, Oliver, Knox, Espensa, Kincaid, Cook, T. Johnson, Benard,  etc are asking you WTAF?

I’m ok with the trades because of the draft capital that Beane now has to move around rounds 2-4 but man I hope this is NOT the reason we did it. This is a great WR draft just get multiple WRs in the draft instead of overpaying for someone else’s WRs. If they do this they really don’t trust their WR scouts.

Draft AD Mitchell and Franklin in round 2 and I’ll go streaking through my neighborhood

Not quite so sure your neighbors will be too impressed!!!  If it happens tho - pixs or it never happened!!!  Just put a small black dot on the offending area!  Just jamming on ya dude.....most likely I would so the same!!!!

    brazil is a disgusting place.

Have you been there?  Have you ever left the country?  Your home state?  Your home town?  Many many people say the same about the good ole USA.  It is all perspective and media hype.  People are shooting each other all the time in the US.  Kids are killing each other in school every week.  Blah blah blah.  We know better, but that the image being put forward.

I will report in as I am going to this game.  Brazil should be a great time for me as we will be in a bubble for the entire time.

I believe Brazil is in the same time zone that we are so that shouldn’t be an issue.

Exactly, my fellow FL Bills fan.  McD would have a kniption if he had to be on tape for Hard Knocks.  I can proudly say I’ve never watched the show as it’s a freak show.

I agree and I am also in the minority that has never seen one second of this show.  not worth wasting my time.  However....if someone could pick and clip the McClappy scenes I would watch those.......that and DIVA Diggs.....JA would most likely be funny as would Dion.  My gawd I have almost talked my way into watching the damned thing!!  Nah....not gonna happen!

I would rather they didn’t but it’s obvious with Allen’s starpower and the Bills fanbase not to mention the occasional appearance by Hailee Steinfeld it makes the Bills prime candidates for one very soon.

    Hailee today....gone tomorrow

I got lost driving through Jacksonville one time a few years back and wow, i saw some garbage, underbelly seedy sections of town.......told my wife to roll up the windows, lock the doors and don't make any eye contact with any of the filthy degenerates wandering around.

The whole place was just gross.

To this day, i still can't believe they would ever put a stadium and a football franchise anywhere near that **** hole.

I agree with you, BUT you also just described about 100 towns across America right now.....sadly.

was there a couple of years ago, and I have to say that Dunedin is just under Key West as far as the places I hate least in Flerda

There are quite a few places like Dunedin in FL.  There is NO WERE ON EARTH anything like Key Weird.  I am gonna be there in 4 weeks.  FL living isn't for everyone thats for sure.

I still laugh at when my buds were all like Oh man FL is gonna be hot and humid.  My response was when I am shoveling heat and scrapping humidity off my windshield we will talk.....the conversation hasn't been held yet.

Way cool - I am actually going to this game.  My sister who lives in Philly and I are heading there for 8 days, total package deal.  I'm hoping my liver will behave!

I think he'll definitely package some of them to move up but I hope we pick plenty of defense, especially LB and DBs in the later rounds. McD and his staff are great at finding diamonds in the rough who have skill sets that match what they do in this D.

I'd like the early rounds to be offense but later rounds I'm happy for them to stockpile some defensive depth

I would like to agree with this but my gawd what a mess they made of the Elam pick!!  I understand that it wasn't a late rounder but being that early it should have been easier to shine that Diamond up.  Not harder!!!

i’m not really sure what you’re saying here. Are you saying you’re able to come or not? I don’t know what a wide right special is.

Sadly not gonna make it - The Wide Right Special is what I was naming the design that mimicked the 25th SB logo.  Sorry for being sly....but again - great idea!!

Kwai, we should watch a game together this year.  Since we’re both in our 50’s, I’d say a 1 pm game.  I try to ring my kids up in September for a 1 pm game, and go with the cousins, and nephews.  Outside if that weekend, I’m available.  I can meet you half way in Clearwater or St. Pete.

I am on that like White On Rice.  Sadly I just tripped into the 60 category but I am still game for a meet.  When the season gets closer we will talk!

  11. This party seems like a awesome idea.  For a kinda newbie, I stalked this site for years before I joined, I know quite a few screen names.  Helluva drive for me as I am south of @machine gun kelly by an hour or more so I might be in the @Augie category and asking for a Wide Right Special.  I truly hope that there is that kinda option for those of us who wouldn't be able to make it.  Sure wish I knew about Hammers back in the day......I started my seasons in 1987 and stopped attending full time in 2010.

At any rate - this is an awesome idea!  Oh and I too am pushing into the 3rd quarter of life........what a drag it is getting old.....BUT!?!  Mothers Little Helper does help!

I don’t think so.  That happens around training camp but not usually in March due to the dead cap.  Morse for example…he cost the Bills around $8M in 2023.

If the Bills were to re-sign him after releasing him it would still carry a $3M dead cap.  So if he signed a one year contract for, say $6M, he’s actually more expensive in 2024.

Someone made a good point online while arguing that the “cap isn’t real.”  They said moving on from Tre, Poyer, Mitch was more due to their age than it was the salary cap.

OK - this makes a lot of sense re: Morse.  Thanks for that info dude!!

Losing Morse sucks and angered me. Finally have a good o line and we gut it for no reason.

Gutting the o-line is a bit of a harsh take.  Obviously the Bills have a weeeee bit more knowledge than we do as fans.  I am good w both moves.  Morse really needs to hang it up.  His brain pan can not keep taking these hits or we are going to read about some crazy crap he does due to CTE.  Bates?  Well Edwards and that practice guy will fill that need.  Plus all BIG BALLER BEANE needs to do is hit on another O'Cyrus type player.
