  1. McDermott is always rather elusive with his comments about injuries and rosters. He also said today he is not saying whether or not the starters will play until game time. This could all be part of a plan for whomever the Bills have to play week one of playoffs to prepare for both kinds of WR corps, with or without him. The point is we really don't know, and I would not at all be surprised if Beasley played in the wild card game and would not at all be surprised if he didn't.

I thought the signs he showed last year were limited to his physical tools and his will. He hadn't shown a whole lot of capability to manage the field and adjust to different looks. The mental leap he's taken this year is otherworldly. I've asked a few other TBD OG's if they can come up with a QB who has taken this kind of leap in a single year and nobody has managed to think of one yet. Can you think of any? I can't come up with one.

Drew Brees? He went pretty quickly from lousy to decent in San Diego and then to the stratosphere with the Saints.

was watching a video about fantasy football and Diggs earlier in the week and something they said was he doesn't have all those flashy TDs like DK but he's just so damn consistent right up at the level of D Hopkins.

Several times this year the guys I know that know football the best wondered why the Bills don't throw to Diggs in the endzone when in the redzone. Today they did.

Ford I think was playing well at guard before he got hurt. But Ike has come in and been impressive. However I think Mongo has been the Xfactor on the Oline. He not only is a mauler but he has the intangibles that seems to improve the play of the unit.

I also think that Williams has played better and better as they year has gone on which has helped the overall play of the oline.

Williams has been very good all year. A huge addition to our offense and another great acquisition by Beane.

  5. It's  a pretty obscure stat to go out of their way to get it. And if they were so aware of records and stats why didn't they get Diggs one more catch in the fourth quarter to get an incredible stat, and easily attainable one, of one of two players ever to get 10 catches in four straight games.

I know people want Allen to win the MVP, it'd be nice, but Rodgers has a 44/5 TD/INT ratio, that ratio alone gets him MVP over Allen let alone the 10 more TD passes. Allen just has too many TO's in comparison. Not that it matters but Allen may have moved past Mahomes in the MVP talk.

But MVP is not about stats, not about player of the year. I have no problem with Rodgers winning MVP. But Allen is equally valuable to his team, and arguably more because of his performance as well as his personality and leadership, as Rodgers. Plus Josh is close to TDs and the Bills have as good an offense as the Pack. Better possession. Better third downs, etc.

  7. I'm not an OL guru, but it seems to me they made a conscious decision to trade the running game for pass protection. Boettger is a pretty decent pass protector and lousy run blocker. Josh has got great pass protection overall the last four games though and our offense is noticeably better. He has all day a lot. Sure we lose in run blocking but the tradeoff is worth it. Our OL wasn't as good as a lot of people thought earlier. Josh immediately makes people miss. But his protection has been elite since Boettger. We only need the threat to run. Tonight was a good example.

Did you notice how long he kept his eyes on the post after he gave the safety that little pump? I swear he intentionally moved that safety with his eyes for almost a full second to keep him out of the third he knew he was going to lead Diggs into. He's not just reading it at this point, he's already progressed to that uncommon level where he's actively manipulating the field.

It's a rare and beautiful treat to watch this incredible (and maybe even unprecedented) progression happening right in front of us every week.

It's an incredible ascension.  But he showed a lot of signs last year. He's just a unique player and talent. And his ceiling is equal to Mahomes, and maybe more because he's bigger, faster, and a better runner. Rolling out, Josh is insane now. Mahomes has won it all so we cannot say Josh is his equal, but this year, Josh has been as good. I can't even imagine how good he might be with Kelce, Hill, Sammy, the other WR plus the running game. He needs to play well in playoffs but there's no reason to think he can't or won't. He's been as good as Mahomes this year.

  9. We all think that the Bills right now are capable of beating anyone. It takes three playoff wins to get to Super Bowl. Surely the best teams don’t always win. BUT, chances are, the Steelers however poor they have played recently, will win their first playoff game at home. Not a sure thing of course but likely.

Our chances of beating the Steelers in the semifinals of the AFC in Buffalo vs in Pittsburgh are substantially better. #2 is big. I’m not worried about injuries as much as keeping our ridiculous momentum and home field.

Play Josh. Put the pedal to the metal. Go into the playoffs scared of no one. Be aggressive. That’s how we’ll win.

Otherworldly arm strength.  That throw on the 3rd Diggs TD was just ridiculous.  Running left, stops, throws a strike across his body to only where Diggs can catch it.  I don't think anyone else in today's NFL can make that throw (yeah, I seddit!).

That was my favorite. Maybe Rodgers or Mahomes makes it but that was ridiculous. Did he make a bad throw? Josh is insane.

Maybe. I could see a scenario where we get a good lead and you want to pull Josh, and don't want to have to put him back in if Barkley gets hurt.

    I like that scenario ...

By the way - why aren't the Pats starting Stidham? It would be the natural thing to do the last couple games to see what he's got. Maybe Belichick wasn't really all that high on him after all.

Yeah, could be. Personally I would prefer Webb as backup to Barkley any way.

  12. Until Josh, Hughes has been my favorite and the best Bill in the last ten years overall. From talent, production, effort, versus the pass and the run, going against the team's best linemen week in week out, chasing down players all the way across the field and sometimes even tackling WR after he had rushed the passer because he is the only guy that plays to the whistle every play. Extremely misunderstood, undervalued and over-criticized when he used to get a few extra penalties, too.

Thanks for the link. He's also a smart, thoughtful, great guy and teammate. Glad this is happening for him.

Probably under 10-12 players who hasn't witnessed the fandemoniun.

The rooks and the few free agent signings.

And I did see a good amount of people without masks screaming right in players faces lol

That’s a lot. ; easily 15 (unless you don’t count players like Winters who have been to the stadium on other teams).
