Jeffrey had to be on the LOS as they only had 6 players lined up on the ball instead of 7...play should have been flsgged for illegal formation...

Guess it was Pats turn to get screwed last night by the stripes Hahahahaha.

who cares.....like others have said, it had no bearing on the outcome of the play and Alshon confirmed that he checked with the line judge.  not sure why this is even a thread

Numbers are numbers and facts are facts. I you what to ignore the stat changes on both teams after the trade that is your ignorance not mine.

so when our run defense turned it around late in the season, that was due to Hatley being signed....so many factors that go into things but you're so sure Marcell was the man.   I'm glad you post on here and likely are not a decision maker in your job

Until he was traded and our D started getting 100% slashed against the run right. Somehow the Jags worst ranked run D did 180* flip too.

Whatever this is a whole different thread...

go tell the rest of Jacksonvilles slime that Marcell was the one who turned it all around, lol.  ok... and Marcell took his position with buffalo so seriously that he was suspended in the past and made a fool of himself with the staff before the Baltimore preseason game....but you know he's talented so that's all that matters

I can play the what if game too.

What if he played solid for us the rest of the year? What if we got a much better pick for him in the offseason? A 6th rd pick is garbage (what was accepted initially).

bottom line is he's gone, neither of us know how the season would finish for him, except we know he was NOT a major contributor while he was here.  ill take the draft pick

  5. this defense will look completely different next year, once McDermott has his type of linebackers to run this defense.

I like Milano, and hope he continues to improve the rest of the way,  but think it's 50/50 at best he starts next year. absolutely think he deserves to play over Humber, but still think they look at drafting 1 early linebacker, 1 in the mid rounds and a f/a acquisition.  The Mike and Will backers are especially important if this defense wants to take it up to the next level

  6. I know I'm in the minority, but I think it was the right decision.  Look at it this way, Buffalo went 0-2 on 4th downs until that point in the game...if they fail to convert, Colts take over at the 41 and we're looking at a tie, as a best case scenario.

on the other hand, the Colts went 3 and out on 50% of their 2nd half possessions (same as 1st half).  Pin them deep and rely on your stronger side of the ball, rather ran a 3rd string QB on 4th and 1.  the punt was solid, but if the defense executes and gets off the field with a 3 and out, then we're likely getting the ball back around midfield and only need a field.goal to win.

Playoffs on the line or not, I think McDermott took a timeout to carefully assess this very thing and took a gamble on his defense stopping them as opposed to Joe Webb and the offense converting.

At the end of the day, we were fortunate that the defense did just enough to end the drive and that Joe Webb/DT connected on a highlight feel play.  But to act like McDermott was playing not to lose, is absurd.

These are the types of decisions that can make or break a team at this point of the season, give credit to the coaches and team on executing
