Stafford is tied for 5th in 4th Quarter Comebacks among active QBs and everyone with more than him has at least 5 more years in the league than him. Not sure I'd call him anti-clutch.

Hes also likely to finish top 5 in yards in the history of the league.  Is he too 5?  No.  Stats can lie.  Why did he have to make comebacks.  Why does a team with a franchise elite qb never make the playoffs.

  2. Now dont get me wrong...there is still a have vs have nots when it comes to quarterbacks...but after watching the game last night and the bears game Sunday night its remarkable how easy things look for mahomes goff and trubisky.  Creativity gets them wide open receivers on nearly every play.  Now mahomes and goff are better at finding them than most but I'd argue that is being coached up better than others as well.

Now let's go to teams like Detroit Atlanta, green bay and Seattle.   With upper tier quarterbacks that are struggling.  If that their fault.   Their defense?  Ya maybe a little but I'd argue they have to rely too much on receivers making contested catches.  Galloday is covered all the time...and fights to get the ball.  Russell Wilson has no one to throw to most of the time until he scrambles.   Same with Rodgers.

Throw one of those guys or heck mahomes or goff into this offense and are they MVP candidates.  Hell no.  Throw rodgers on the chiefs and he's breaking records.

A franchise QB is definitely required to win consistently in this league and all the guys above are just that...but not having one can be masked by a great OC...which we do not have.
