The problem with that strategy is that seemingly every year, there is major run on WRs early in the second round. The year we drafted Cook was an example. I think Beane really wanted one of the WRs, but they were all gone by the time our number came up and Beane kept trading back...I suspect guys like Leggette, Franklin, Worthy, McConkey and Coleman will get snapped up by midway through round 2, if they don't go in the first.
This is exactly what will happen if the Bills fk around they'll find out. This ain't the draft to try and get cute. Get Allen the young dog.

I believe there are 5 teams with two 2nds and 4 or more with two 3rds. ( Next years 1st could get us one of each.) This is the year for Beane to not only stock the cupboard, but get hopefully 5 or more starting quality players.
I agree. The Bills should be able to hit free agency a little harder next year to offset the draft pick as well.

Not all, but the majority of those guys are 3Ts. We have our stud 3T. So taking a DT at #28 is either taking a guy who is taking snaps off one of your best players (that's not wise) or you are taking a 1T. And a 1T in the first round is just bad allocation of resources.
As exciting as pairing Newton and Oliver even on passing downs only, yeah, I just can't justifying the pick. Gotta be WR 1a followed by DE 1b.

Darius Robinson feels like a possible pick if we don't go WR. As has the height we like at DE but can also move inside on passing downs. Yet again until.roster filled out tough call what we draft first and of course who's available.
Please no. Another guy who plays multiple spots but doesn't really make any impact at any of them.

I’ll be so mad if the take a safety in the first instead of a wr. The difference in cap savings compared to an above average free agent at each position is massiveI would absolutely choose violence 😂😆😂

How about Diggs, a 2nd and 5th to Dallas for their 1st and 3rd
I'd be on it like white on rice!

Braelon Allen, RB Wisconsin would give us that physical back. He just turned 21 so still young. 6’1” 245lbs Assuming he can be had in the later rounds.
Yeah probably gotta use our 4th on him which I'm ok with.

There is no way in hell that the Bills will rely on a rookie starting at safety. JMO.

This is an over-reaction to losing AJ Brown. This is a highly risky contract in my opinion. Ridley is good, but not THAT good.
It's a contract that justifies going thru a few years of loserville. Pretty simple.

The Bills have til May 8 to assign the 5th year option which will be for 2025 at about $19.076M. The number is big for a DE so giving him the option means you have to give him that for 2025 or you need to extend him sooner. Any chance Beane is trying to do this now where his value is maybe less than it can be after this year? It would provide a more cost controlled/known cost moving forward.

I would both him and Spencer Brown before they become too expensive.

He's a nickel player who plays teams. Short arms and all that so he isn't an outside corner and I am not sure he is a candidate for a safety conversion. He was a guest speaker at my school and was awesome with the kids, so as far as I know, he's a good dude.
Maybe they plan on moving Taron to safety?....never know.

Good safeties can be found late in the draft. Hyde and poyer, for instance, were both late rd picks I believe
Yeah but there's a developmental process for that. Neither really came into their own until their third or later season

Giants seem like they’re in complete rebuild mode. Would you trade pick 28 for Dexter Lawrence? I would. Dude is a difference maker.
If not for the WR class......I miiiiight.

What do you think he’d get $ wise?
4 years 13 mil per?
I would absolutely pay that all day every day!!! 👍

Perfect compliment to Oliver imo. Dude is 4 years younger than Jones as well. It'll cost, but it would be worth it man.

Yup lost me at the Epenesa contract. Starting money for a guy that’s barely done anythingModern day free agency. Someone will pay him 15. Some team with loads of capspace that thinks he's ready for a larger role and ready to break out. It won't be us.

I think people forget that he was a helmet tap away from being out for weeks, or maybe even done for good. I like the guy, but he’s got plenty of risk associated with him. I wouldn’t be shocked if the plan is to get a rookie to take C as McGovern was really solid at G last year, but at least this way, they can say they have a plan going into the draft. Quality Centers can be had fairly late in the draft.
The sweet spot for centers is usually the 2nd to 4th rounds.

I’m good with this idea. Might be cheaper and a better fit than Wilkins or Leonard WilliamsMost definitely. He'll still require a substantial contract but nowhere near those other two guys especially Wilkins who is the youngest of the bunch.

Pairing DJ Reader with Oliver would consistently collapse the pocket to where we wouldn't need 100 M dollar DEs. Food for thought.

DJ Reader would be awesome...
Just landing him and then filling out the roster with lower level free agents would set the draft up quite nicely imo.
