This is a joke right?
The old guard aged themselves off the roster. Hyde and Poyer were old two years ago. Beane couldn’t secure a succession plan through the draft, necessitating a 2nd rounder at S to walk in and START.
Beane gave Diggs the massive contract 2 years before his deal was up. He signed Von Miller. He literally CREATED the cap problems.
Sure, Morse was getting older and that was a tough decision, but IOL is worse without him. Again, BECAUSE of Beane.
He accomplished trying to fix the roster he ***** up lmao
No, it's not a joke. I won't change your mind, nor will I try.

Neither did the Buffalo Bills to start the year.

A large chunk of the fanbase is still in denial.
Believe me, I went into the offseason with the same attitude. Cut a few aging vets. Make a few smart free agent signings. Kill the draft. Get some bargains post June as the cherry on top, and prepare for another AFC East title. Hopefully more this time. Other teams (Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Kansas City, San Francisco, etc.) seem to keep the ball rolling year after year after year. Why can't we? I laughed off all the media folks saying the window was closed, and the Bills would be rebuilding.
But I was wrong. Without clearly saying it, Brandon Beane has sent the clear message we are NOT expecting a deep run this year. This offseason absolutely is a total rebuild. Every single move he's made screams that he's building for 2025, and I'm shocked that some people can't see it.
The Jets are winning the AFC East. It won't be close. And we may even get passed by Miami this year.
I agree with everything except the Jets. No way in hell I'm seeing them walk away with the AFCE on the 27th of April.

What exactly did he pull off?
First off having the balls to let all the old guard go that he could, instead of trying to patch things up and put the bill on the credit card.

I'm not gonna grade a draft until we see how all the players turn out, but the overall philosophy shown this weekend is deflating and uninspiring.
Anyone who didn't see that this a team in "transition" has been blind.
After the departure of so many veterans (which I'm glad Beane did it all at once) with the exception of Von Miller, there can be no other
opinion about the "changing of the guard". It doesn't mean that the team is hopeless when it comes to winning the division and attempting
to go farther in the playoffs.
You can define it as "uninspiring", but I see it as "realistic". The question is how fast it can be done and done right.
I think he has done a pretty good job SO FAR.
I for one believe that along with this change comes much more responsibility for rookies than we have seen in the past.
It was obvious when a ton of 1-year deals for older UFAs were not signed as was done every year prior.
Beane has a lot of fire power for next seasons draft and the cap will be in a much better position.
Meanwhile, the team is not fully put together and I will see what work Beane can get done before September.
Go Bills.

Yeah and I just can't see Allen putting up with it. Allen has an out after 2025.
Josh Allen is under contract through the 2028 season. He will sign an extension with the Bills at the end of the 2026 season.

Step 1 : Sign your guys
Step 2 : Sign Pre-Draft UFAs
Step 3 : Draft
Step 4 : Sign UDFAs
Step 5 : Sign Post-Draft UFAs
Step 6 : Go to camp
Step 7 : Establish your 53 / Tweak if necessary.
Of course, trades can happen at any time.
I don't look at what the team will look like until ALL the steps are completed.
I like a lot, but Beane still has some work to do.

Okay Daequan Hardy - potential nickel corner. I didn't look at him in depth but did see bits of him watching other Penn State defenders. He is scrappy. I think he has some gunner experience too. So potentially replaces Siran Neal as backup nickel and starting gunner?
Punt returner. Had 2 TDs on returns.

Ah yea forgot Anderson. I think they like him. Personally I wouldn't keep Collins, certainly not to play tackle, he just moves too slowly post all the injuries to play out there IMO. If they wanted to try him at guard I'd be fine with it. Unless Grable looks a mess in camp and pre-season they have to find a way to keep him IMO. Invest a year into developing him and give yourself a baseline option in case Brown walks.
He was a vet insurance policy. I would bet if the kids surpass him in camp he is gone.

Is Beane for some reason intentionally not drafting WR's that are there?
Yes. He is going to sign a vet WR after June 1st.

Solomon is the edge. A bit undersized, older, not particularly explosive. Probably captain of the gin rummy club at Troy at least.
Now that is how to sarcastically troll.
Well done!

Okay with trading back but do it for a 2025 pick not more picks in 2024!
Let's see what happens.

Maybe we’re fixing to pick a new kicker and punter in the 6th/7th
I was thinking the same thing.

LOL. Beane getting more picks must mean he may have to use them in the 6th.
Only thing I can think of is a P and K will be drafted to create real competition in the Kicking Room.

Agreed......this has been an excellent draft for us so far and it's a shame that more fans can't see that.
I want more. Time for one of those late round CBs that work out well.

We had four 5ths, so turning one into a 4th next year is a great trade imo.
Yes. In essence, he traded down 16 spots in the 5th for a 4th round next year.

Hmmm. That says to me Beane doesn't like what is left on the board. Which begs the question why did he not get more aggressive to move up earlier?
With 4 5th round picks, you can't turn down that offer.

So the bills just took a potential starting center with a pick from carolina they acquired by moving back one spot.
that is awesome.
If he can start, then Edwards moves back to depth and that fills out the OL.

Now get the sleeper CB for McD.

Brady will be the wildcard for the offense this year. We will see if he can scheme success with what he has to work with.
