But the stands were half-empty on the Dolphins first drive of the second half.
I hope the new stadium will have enough restrooms...
Cheers to all you loud crazy fans! I loooooove rowdy crowds -

In the past, I could turn on the TV and really get interested in any NFL game that was on. Now, after watching Josh play the game, watching other QB's is kind of ho-hum.
I even realize that after JA17, I might temporary lose my Bills enjoyment. I can't even figure out how I was still so hyped up during the drought years ha ha. It's 80% JA, but also having such a dominant team. Struggling teams and bad QB play in particular is not that exciting anymore...
So I enjoy it a LOT right now. Sure that Bengals playoff loss last year had me steaming for a long while against the coaches, but reading this board, it seems some expect perfection out JA, the players, the coaches, and are even less thrilled than during the bad years. That I can not understand! -

It seems being a diva ball hog is a given for 90% of elite WRs. But it must surely be annoying at times for their QBs and teammates. Nope, you are not the only option, nor always open ha ha

Josh will probably always be the first half MVP favorite. Then we'll have a rain game followed by 2 games with 40mph wind, while the other candidates play in perfect weather.
Good point. To me it's crazy that for QBs and kickers, "experts" don't even take this into account. Stats are great but often misrepresent the full story. But I agree that it's way too early to talk MVP. But damn he is playing well!

My game ball goes to Beane. There was a lot of questions with Oliver and some questions with Rousseau, but I think he nailed them both.
Don't forget McGovern and Torrence!

Dorsey had a GREAT game against the Raiders. A good one against Washington that continued the current "pattern", and this was a masterclass. What also surprised me is how quickly Josh (and Diggs) adapted to this new style of offense. They both still have the huge plays but most of the calls are not designed for that. Dorsey has been better this year than Daboll has ever been. More weapons too for sure, but he now used them well, very well.
I was REALLY thrilled they signed McGovern and then Torrence. But these two allow for so much more than even I expected. Plus the playcalling makes the OLine better on its own. Everybody on here was calling for a star WR while the OLine was THE pace to shore up - and Beane delivered.
BTW McD has been crazy good as DC as well. McDaniels had great offense plays yet again, but McD prevailed. It's was not TV hype to say these two were the key matchup of the day! I'm just happy Dorsey, Josh and the Bills O reminded everyone that they are awesome too!

Damn it put a damper on this AWESOME win for me. Seeing both corners go down wasn't fun to begin with, but a season ending maybe career ending injury to a guy that fought so hard to come back, that's tough. Both non contact injuries too...

Also the fact that he isn't getting mobbed for photos, autographs, and handshakes. Josh can't be out in the normal public anymore.
Yes that was the biggest clue indeed and I'm not surprised - well also that it was the Bills channel ha ha. I was just hoping it wasn't a commercial. Not that I mind he's doing commercials, just that it would have been a great thing to capture on video.

Sadly, we’re all waiting for Dorsey to show his play calling improvement after an underwhelming rookie season
Did you watch game #2? It was the best Bills OC performance in years. Of course he has to repeat this. Dorsey has so many weapons to play with that he will have this pressure to wow the league. For sure. Do I think Reid, McDaniels and others do a better job? YESSS. But it doesn't mean he sucks! Last year I was bewildered that he went from very creative to start the year to very predictable by the end. Hopefully it changes, but so far this year he's done a pretty good job! Many new pieces and they are figuring out how to use them... while winning. So far so good IMO.

Fans on message boards always focus on the positives of other teams and the negatives of their own teams. This holds true for all teams and all sports. Also, I think that the only team's fans that don't hate their team's playcalling right now are Dolphins fans. But they'll come around once the Fins lose a game.
Sports fans behave with their teams like women with their BFs/husbands ha ha. I fully agree with your take. "Josh chokes in big games, he's not clutch", "Dorsey is awful", our OLine can never get perks from some and on and on. After a 13-3 season and playoff win. Hey, I AM still pissed at how outcoached the Bills were by the Bengals last year, the infamous 13s, some of the play calling, but as if other teams were perfect! It's crazy!
It used to be that the team was the worse ever after a loss, to locked sure bet SB champs after a win. Now after 2 great blow out wins, it's still mostly gloom and doom. I hope they kick the Fins to at least take care of that for a week! Of course they have weaknesses, for sure, and of course we will discuss them on a board like TBD, but the overreaction while at the same time constantly praising the other teams... -

And one of those QB pressures led to the Micah Hyde INT.
I was reading the thread to see if it was mentioned. Nice pick by Hyde, but Howell had to hurry because AJ was coming for him and he had throw it over him. Sure, he should have thrown it away but that's what QB pressure is for!

Maybe they could show his head next time? Ha ha

I REALLY loved the OLine play last game, and so far in these 3 games they have been much better than in previous years... like we expected with these two new guards.
Yet watching the Eagles yesterday... wow. Crazy how good is that OLine! Hurts (and their run game!) has it so easy.

Is this a real commercial that is made to not look like one? Or a sneak video? So hard to tell ha ha

They were great yesterday. Dawkins had an awesome game. The pass protection was really physical and they were on it.
Josh helped with his easy side stepping. When there's only one rusher free, he always evades easily when not flustered.
Gameplan by Dorsey also helps in fatiguing and demoralizing opposing DLines. It bodes well. I was one saying in the offseason that with McGovern and Torrence, plus the short game with Cook and Kincaid, that the Bills O would crazy good - and they were 2nd last year! So far so good, for sure. -
He's been awesome in game 2, and pretty damn good yesterday!
Sure there are growing pains. I don't mean just about him, but for this year, learning how to best use the current roster. We are only 3 weeks in the season. Offenses always adjust more slowly than defenses. And Josh yesterday had the perfect mix of the short game while using his legs and long passes. You can see him already mature in this "new style of offense". Taking what is there yet remaining "full Josh".
I even like the "head scratching plays" like the shotgun passes on 4th and 1. Why? Because those were games already won, and it just throws some curves in future DC planning against the Bills O.- 1

Last year, even if the Fish won in the "heat game" in Miami while enjoying their sideline shade, Bills dominated and the loss felt more like a fluke. And the Bills won the rematch. Sure, this time the Fins are for real, but let's not pretend the Bills - and Josh! - haven't had their number so far!
No matter how you slice it, 70 points and over 700 yards of offense is impressive. But different week, different results. Did people on here forget the Bills just did two blowouts in a row of their own? GO BILLS- 2
-
"Miami became the first team in NFL history to total 350-plus passing yards and 350-plus rushing yards in a game"
Crazy!
But... when has a Bills McD team last been blown out? Years ago. This D is for real. And the "new" offense with 10-12 play drives means the Dolphins O is on the sidelines. And let's not act like the Bills O aren't scary good as well.

Not the same for all. Veterans get paid more than players with less experience.
But it is a predetermined (league wide) PS amount, correct?

Klein was paid millions before. Now, he will paid PS rates? Isn't that how it works when you are on the PS, a fixed rate, same for all? It shows he is committed (and hope to get back as an active obviously)

This reaction was so mild and "normal" I don't get it. Yes, last year it was funny. This one? Meh
BTW, this last game was his best game plan as OC. And one of the best we've seen in years. He can smash all the laptops he wants if he keeps doing that!

On a scale of 1 to 100, I'm interested in the Bills 100, other NFL games 12-15, college football 2 and USFL/XFL football 0.
I'd be 100, 40, 2 and ...0. Still, I think it's great some of these guys have an outlet to play. And it could become a NFL talent pool as well.

Maybe you should use a past sentence for that? Dorsey, this year, has AT LAST been the OC we wanted for so long. Last 3 games, Josh's stats are off the charts... yet he didn't have to play hero ball. He certainly did amazing stuff when needed, but otherwise the gameplan allowed to let many other players do their parts and shine, and that includes the OL. Dorsey did as good as Reid, McDaniels or anyone so far in 2023.
Plus, McD has been doing an awesome job as DC. It's the first time in decades I'm so thrilled with the coaches as it comes to gameplans and designs - they had other parts down but not this one. They do now. So far anyway.
Josh barely got hit too. He's finding ways to have fun and be creative even if the load is off his shoulders compared to these past years. They have the right balance for sure as of now. And as Romo hinted, they also have a style that will still work come the bad windy and cold weather months.
