Many seem to think this is still a Super Bowl caliber team and this season they are far from it.

They aren't the Superbowl favorites we thought they were, but the positive here, NO team is this year! None! So while their chance to win it all is quite slim, its is NOT over. You fight and let the chips fall. We thought they were better. But who thought the Chiefs and Ravens would have 5 losses at this point?  Yet their fanbases are more optimistic then ours.

They kind of were wiped off the map.

They lost a the very end of the game. The Dolphins loss was a beatdown. Even the best teams get blown out. In fact, the Bills have been the "less blowout" team for years, and almost never at home.

Hey I hated this loss. And I'm mad too. I'm just also sick of "fire everybody" "it's over"  and blablabla after EVERY loss. I do mean all the time.

The Texans D looked like from another league that doesn't even exist, so we have to consider that. They've won 3 times with Mills (3-0). Their offense has to be REALLY bad to be 6-5 with such a defense. Yet CJ Stroud is touted as a wonder weapon. While some Bills fans are turning on Josh. Make it make sense!

Then we missed the XP, and it was like 'that's gonna come back to haunt us.'  Every game is like a trip to the dentist now.

While it sure did matter, and I had the same thought, that makes it a trip to the dentist? What do you expect? Only perfect games and perfect outcomes? A 20-0 season?

You do not keep a HC around because the next guy could be worse. That is living in your fears and settling for comfort over what is truly needed----change!!!

As for coaches change, yes, Ben Johnson and Vrabel were good choices. Even though you know Vrabel was fired too? But that was last year. Who do you get now? Some of you were yapping to bring back Daboll!  You seemed to forget how disliked he was here at the end. And he called horrible offensive plays for the Giants.

No you don't do change just for change.

The Bills are a very good team that is currently a M.A.S.H. unit on defense.  We are 7-4.  We have already beat teams that we will be fighting with for Wild Card spots.  We're getting in.

The Eli Manning Giants got hot and the right time AND lucky AF and got two rings against the GOAT coach/QB combo off of it.

This was a very entertaining game for a neutral observer and the Bills had a chance to win it at the end.  They pulled off a beautiful hook and ladder play to make it possible.  Gabe Davis in-bounds or Dawkins doesn't jump and there's a very good chance of a W.

Take a deep breath, schedule an appointment, and stop basing your happiness/self-worth on how a sports team that you aren't on performs.

    THIS

I admit this year has been the most frustrating so far in the JA17 era. But to those who say "we aren't spoiled". Maybe, but you're acting like it!

I too am in a "Superbowl or bust" mood. I really expected this team, this year, to win it all. And since the Dolphins loss, they really look like a B+ team, not the A+ powerhouse we thought they were. That's heart crushing. Just like the Giants back then, they might win it all still. But it's such a longshots it sucks.

But they are still a top NFL team yet this fanbase cries and whines and moans. NO team is undefeated! All have weaknesses. Ravens and KC are 5-5. Yet so many fans focus on all the Bills weaknesses as if other teams had none. It's tiring.

And we all feel JA17 is being wasted. BUT, before you fire coaches, you need to know who will replace them! Way too many fans have this fire everybody approach as if great coaches and great players are sitting on a shelf, just waiting to be taken.

If the Texans was even remotely healthy on offense, we are losing by double digits.

And if the Bills had  Oliver and Hoecht, if Bernard was healthy, and so on. To say nothing of Kincaid. I can't understand you "fans" that act like bitter wives. Excuses are good for other teams but not for the Bills? The Bills O was rated #2  yet you act like it's a tire fire. As if the other teams were running on all cylinders.

Did Palmer even play before that 4 & 27? Dude needs to step up! But.. what a play that was! Too bad it was all for nothing.

That and the misdirection in the 1st half, and the great timing of the screen to counter the blitz, etc. were good stuff. But one we should expect from an OC on the regular. The lack of help to the OLine, like using SOME max protection, 6th linemen, whatever, I just don't get.

  6. 7-4. It sucks. The Cheats are 9-2, even KC and the Ravens are coming back. Texans could have a tie breaker at the end. And on and on. None of that is fun in any way.

But you guys act like the Bills were wiped off the map. The lost a super close one, and without the missed extra point, would have tied the game easy to go to OT. No, Pegula won't fire Beane and McD tonight. No Brady isn't fired after facing the #1 D.

Best part of this game: Josh is still playing. He seemed done after that hit in the first half. A right wrist/elbow injury would be no fun though

  7. I don't care much about the Eagles ha ha. But their fanbase HATES the OC. From our outside perspective, having one of the best OLine, great WRs, and Barkley, I mean what more could you want? Beside JA at the helm of course ha ha.

I was criticized on here for not praising Hurts. I was simply just sick of his "600 squat" being made the reason of their Tush Push success when their Oline was pushing everybody 4 yards backwards.

  8. It's the first time this year Cook had no lanes to run. He was tackled right away. I don't know why. They even used many pitches to the outside, all stuffed except one time they did it to the right. IDK why it didn't work this game, but as mentioned, the RBs still had a field day in other ways.

Did you not watch Josh early in his career? His first INT was classic Allen in his first few years. Just pushing too hard to make something outta nothing. Those are the plays they have tried to coach out of him. And rightfully so. No need to take a big risk on your first possession that deep in your own territory.

Hey, nobody can or should defend that bonehead play ha ha. But it was two plays in, and in those two plays there was a rusher coming unblocked straight at Josh, while JA is inside his endzone!  It was a safety in the making, it became a bad INT. And thanks to the D, 3 points instead of 7. Bu unless Josh missed some blocking assignments, it was not all on him. Crazy to see these unblocked rushers to start the game!

  10. It was such a weird game. They couldn't get the run game going, even if trying, and went pass heavy, targeting WRs, not TEs and checkdowns. Even the pass game was up and down... yet it worked ha ha. The run D was awful... as usual, but everything else was just not what the Bills usually do. At least it's a W!

Edit: shoutout to the special teams return squad! Even that was unusual but sure appreciated. On D, Bosa, Walker and Bishop play well week in and week out. The rest...

We have speed, we refuse to actually use it in a way that would be effective.

The receivers might not like it, but they are paid millions: why not have at least ONE of them run deep routes every pass play. Even if if the guy had horrible hands, defenses HAVE to cover him. Even if he  is not targeted, it opens up the field regardless.

They know we can’t beat CBs one on one, so theres no need for an extra defensive back.

Well, that's not true if the schemes help. And imagine, at times, not all the time, WRs running short while a TE or RB runs deep when Josh can see it's man to man coverage. Picth runs to the outside. And yes, a few misdirections and play action!

By far my biggest complaint with Brady is his refusal this year to open up the game play-action heavy. This naturally softens the run defense. His plan in Seattle last season is the blueprint, but we refuse to try it this season. Hell the first play of the game was shotgun and all spread, screaming pass. Why not play-action instead of giving your intent away with formation. The Dolphins were ripe to roll over and our poor 1st drive and their subsequent 95-yard drive killed that idea.

Oh I agree. Yet, to be fair, on 8 opening drives before that, the Bills had scored 6 TDs, 1 FG, and no punt as the other one ended in a fumble. Perfection is not of this world. And the Bills should still have dominated if the first drive was stopped. It's a headscratcher of a game.

They think behind closed doors the Bills are purposely playing the long game with Allen as McBeane often mentions the importance of keeping Josh healthy.
They imply that they are going through the season, play him conservative, stay healthy

If it's true, it'd be dumb as h ell to do this from play 1. Especially with teams on the verge of inner collapse, you go all out from the get go, and tone it down afterwards if you have the lead. And to be fair, the Bills had the best opening drives stats in all  the NFL before last Sunday.

It's just the overall offense seems so off. Lack of creativity. Predictable. The last two opponents showed what can be done scheme wise on offense. The BILLS showed what can done in the game against KC. Use some of what they did!

Johnson was a great option for passes out of the backfield. Why they stopped using him just doesnt make sense to me.

TY is almost at WR level. They have used him for checkdowns. What about some mid & deep routes for him once in a while? Same for Cook BTW.

Yeah, gonna be fun when he gets fired for being horrible at his job. Hopefully, Bills fans remember to troll him hard when it happens.

He knows he's going down, so might as well go down in style ha ha. He will be made fun anyways. And I doubt he had planned this. He was passing bye so made the most of it.

Some fans can dish it out but can't take it back...

Trolling the fans is such a cowardly thing to do.

What? It's fair game. With what all these guys hear from the fans ha ha.

That loss REALLY depressed me. For the first times in years, I feel the SB dream is over. Or, you know, it's dwindled down to only a very very slim chance, while just last week the Bills were still legit Superbowl favorites.

At least, McDaniel's trolling - and his answer when asked if it was him is good too ha ha - makes it more fun.

I'd use Knox, Hawes and Coleman (or Davis) as the TEs.  I think defenses would have a hard time defending

Hum. Maybe Coleman could thrive in that. I just have been POed at his lack of effort. Twice last Sunday he could easily have got a PI going the Bills way had he come back to the ball and fought for it. He didn't. Good no calls even if the Fins never looked back and there was contact

Anyway, I have been vocal about using Anderson AND Hawes. I also want the frequent deep routes by one of the RBs and TEs. Ty Johnson, Cook, Kincaid/Knox, even Gilliam. They are hard to cover by LBs and non DBs. Stretch the field however way you want! It doesn't only have to be a WR.

Kincaid probably missing time is going to make it even easier for opposing Ds.

I've said it before, and I'll say again: use the TEs and RBs to run deeper routes. They are a mismatch for those covering them. Our WRs are bad, we all know it. But they won't put a DB with Ty Johnson, Cook or Kincaid. Just do it! The Bills  need to stretch the field in whatever ways that works. If they do it, WRs will get more open, yes, they will, and the running game can break some big ones. They actually did this against KC.

Dawkins got cooked on a few plays yesterday that were pretty ugly. Miami doesn't have a good pass rush to begin with, were near the bottom of the league in sacks, and were playing without Chop Robinson and just traded Jaelan Phillips.

It's like as if nothing yesterday made any logical sense!

Same with the Bills run offense. The Fish had ben awful in run D. They stopped Cook bette than anyne so far.

    WT H yesterday?

There's been quite a few heart breaking losses in the JA17 era. Yesterday was more like a real depressing one. We've seen the Bills go from SB favorites to barely being playoff caliber.

It would be one thing if we were using the running game to set up the pass.

But we aren't even doing that, lol. We use the run game and it either works or it doesn't. And then we pass and hope for the best...

Sad but true. Josh had killer stats with playaction in his first years, and they had no running game back then! They have now and don't max it out.
