I was going to ask the same thing.  I know there is a pre-ticketed tailgate event where tickets are $85 to get in but I was wondering what the other tailgating options are?  Where is the Pinto crew going to be setup at for this one?

Let me know if you find out.  I will do the same.

We are heading to Nashville any intel on bar takeovers would be appreciate- we have never been

Kid Rock bar was hopping.  There are numerous bars in that area.  I went 2 years ago and had an unbelievable time.  The Bills fans took over the city.  I am leaving Wednesday to go again!

Has anyone else in Upstate New York (or specifically in Syracuse) had a problem with the first two preseason games not being on the NFL Network?  For each of the first two games and tonight's replay of Bills at Bears, Spectrum's channel guide shows the Bills being on but the actual game being shown is another game.  WTF!  Called Spectrum and they said it's a network issue and have no other complaints about it.

    Same thing on Directv.

Dunkirk Don just made up a bunch of stuff and was full of himself. I'm not even predicting who we will play and when. Just saying that if teams are notified today we might get some leaks a day early

I would so no for that type of money with Josh’s extension due.

He is slow to diagnose the run and routinely gets buried by guards in the hole.  Some of it last year was because Star was not there to take up bodies, but how many times in the first three years do you remember him beating blockers to the point of attack and blowing up runners in the whole or in the backfield? - not a whole lot.

    Spot on.

I guess I should’ve just called it the curse of Spiller and Watkins.

I had the pleasure of watching Jerry.  He was a great receiver and would have even been better if he didn’t have a few injuries.  His career ended after catching a touchdown from Kelly while breaking his leg.

The schedule is usually announced randomly right around now, 1-3 weeks before the draft on a random Thursday.

So I’m curious how many primetime games does TBD think the Bills will get?

    I’d set the O/U at 3.5

    HOME

NYJ, MIA, NE, HOU, IND, ATL, CAR, PIT, WFT

    AWAY

NYJ, MIA, NE, NO, TB, TEN, JAX, KC

I only see @ KC as a lock, with 2-3 more coming out of @/vs MIA, @/vs NE, vs PIT, vs IND, @ TB

My guess would be @ KC in an early season (week 2-3) SNF game, @ NE in a mid-early season MNF, @ TB in a mid-late season MNF, and vs PIT in a late season SNF. Then a week 16-17 flex option vs MIA.

So I’m placing my number at 4, with a 5th possible likely flex option.

I’d like to see NE at home in primetime, but I can only envision them getting 2 primetime games with @ TB being a lock for them, and then the NFL making their own primetime a home game thus making it more likely, IMO, that we play them on the road on primetime.

The one I’m least confident in is @ TB and could see that 4th primetime game rather be that home game vs MIA to give us 2 home & 2 away instead of 1/3

    Thoughts?

All the speculation about JJ Watt and Richard Sherman potentially joining the Bills makes me think, oddly enough, of Phil Villapiano.

Villipiano was never quite a Watt-Sherman caliber player.  But in his prime, he was a Pro Bowler who helped the Raiders win a Super Bowl.

But the Bills didn’t have Villapiano in his prime.  When they traded for him in 1980, he was clearly on the downside of his career.  It was considered a questionable acquisition at the time but Head Coach Chuck Knox wanted someone who could teach the younger players how to win.

Is one player’s ‘locker room presence’ really worth a sizeable contract?   Sam Walker argues in his best-seller, The Captain Class, that the world’s elite sports teams aren’t built by coaches or schemes and don’t necessarily have the very best players.   But what they all have in common is one player whose desire and will-to-win is so intense that it lifts the play of the entire team.  And while I think Walker might overly simplify the matter, I have to admit he makes a compelling case.

Which leaves me of the opinion that the Bills passing attack improved dramatically last year because of Stefon Diggs.  Oh, I’m not talking about the obvious:  127 catches and 1,535 yards.  I’m talking about his love of the grind, his dedication to his craft, his obsessiveness about football.  I’m talking about Diggs watching the Chiefs hoist the Lamar Hunt trophy with his blood freaking boiling.  Daboll has said of Diggs, “He's got juice, he's got fiery competitiveness, he's got swagger -- and I want him to have it because it rubs off on our team.”

And that’s why Watt and Sherman intrigue me.  They’re dogs in a street fight.    What used to be an acceptable level of play won’t be acceptable anymore.  McDermott’s culture would reinforce what’s already good in Watts and Sherman and, in turn, they would help take the culture higher.

Villapiano, over-the-hill though he may have been, helped Knox transform the Bills from 2-12 laughingstocks to a playoff team.  Watt and Sherman can help McDermott transform the Bills from a playoff team to a Super Bowl victor.

Also, Isiah Robertson (LB)who came from the  Rams!
